Chapter 492: 494 To help each other in difficult times (9)_1
The image of her parents’ tragic death instantly chilled and hardened her heart, "I don’t want to see you again!"
Qin Moting asked quietly, "Then why did you ask Huanhuan to find me?"
Wen Ru’s voice was shrill, "That’s the debt you owe!"
Qin Moting remained silent, suddenly feeling a headache coming on. He closed his eyes and leaned back in the wheelchair, pressing his fingers hard against his temples, but he still couldn’t alleviate the waves of pain assaulting him, his breathing becoming increasingly labored.
The debt he owed?
Was that the debt he owed?
As Wen Ru watched, she suddenly called out frantically, "Huanhuan!"
Che Huan, hearing Wen Ru’s voice, pushed the door of the ward open and looked at Wen Ru’s ashen face, anxiously asking, "Mom, what’s wrong?"
Wen Ru pointed at Qin Moting, her lips suddenly dry, "He... he..."
Che Huan looked at Qin Moting, seeing him sitting in the wheelchair, his face almost turning blue, with big droplets of sweat rolling down his forehead, and hurriedly rang for the nurse.
Two nurses quickly arrived and wheeled Qin Moting out of the ward, equally shocked, "President Qin, what’s wrong with you?"
Qin Moting was gasping continuously, unable to speak.
Wen Hua glanced over, not knowing what had happened to him or why he suddenly became ill in Xiaoru’s room.
Seeing Che Huan follow them out, he and Bi Fu also left the living room.
Huo Jinnan stood up, his gaze turning much deeper as he watched the scene unfold.
After a moment of thought, he picked up his phone and made a call to Shen Mubai, "Pull up the video surveillance from room 808 just now, send it to my email."
After hanging up the phone and seeing Wen Nuan still standing there dumbfounded, Huo Jinnan spoke with a low voice, "Nuannuan, you stay here and watch over your aunt, I’ll go and see what’s happening."
"Oh, okay, brother-in-law—"
Wen Nuan snapped back to reality, watching Huo Jinnan leave the living room without understanding what was going on. Goodness gracious, up to now, she had no idea what had happened. Would someone please tell her what’s going on?
Thinking of her aunt, she quickly entered Wen Ru’s ward, "Aunt, President Qin..."
Seeing Wen Ru lying there, her gaze vacantly fixed on the ceiling, face stained with tears, Wen Nuan was speechless, and after a long while, she managed to stammer out, "Aunt... Auntie, are you okay?"
Wen Ru didn’t speak.
Wen Nuan walked over, took a few tissues from the side, and timidly handed them to Wen Ru.
Wen Ru took them, clenched them tightly, and fiercely wiped away her tears. She looked at Wen Nuan, and it took a while for her to calm down, "Nuannuan, don’t worry, your aunt is fine."
After a pause, she looked at Wen Nuan, "Nuannuan, go out and check how President Qin is doing."
"Oh."
Wen Nuan didn’t dare to ask more questions, and quickly left the ward.
Approaching the emergency room, she saw from afar the godly figure and Sister Huanhuan, her father, and mother all standing there. She walked over and stood beside Che Huan, peering inside but unable to see anything. She tugged at Che Huan’s arm, "Sister Huanhuan, how is he?"
Che Huan hummed in response, "Still no news."
Wen Nuan responded with an "Oh," and walked back, not knowing how to report back to her aunt; it seemed she hadn’t fully completed the task.
As she walked and pondered, not sure what she had bumped into, her body suddenly lost balance. Wen Nuan let out an "Ah" before she could understand what happened, and her whole body lurched forward!
"What do you mean by falling on my face?"
Qin Shaojin sat in the wheelchair, his slender fingers tightened, forcefully holding on to Wen Nuan, wary she might tip the wheelchair over.
