Qin Shaojin set down the playing card he was holding and looked towards Huo Bei, obviously something had happened.
Huo Jinnan draped his suit over his shoulders and left the private room.
Huo Bei and the team leader followed closely behind.

The chief shook his head, "The body surfaced this morning and was discovered then, retrieved from the moat. The crime scene has not been located yet."
Huo Jinnan’s slender fingers lit a cigarette, took a drag, lowered his head, and his gaze fell on the body. There was no clue to be seen on the corpse.
Huo Bei mentioned that no fingerprints, hair, or other traces of someone else had been retrieved from the victim’s body.
After a moment, he looked at Huo Bei, "Prepare the car."
The chief, along with several key police officers, ran to the moat with Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan asked about the location where the body had been retrieved and glanced at the direction of the moat’s current flow. Turning to the chief, he said, "The forensics team’s estimated time of death."
"Around 2 a.m."
Huo Jinnan glanced at Huo Bei, "Check the wind direction around 2 a.m. last night."
Huo Bei quickly found the wind direction from the previous night and reported to Huo Jinnan in a low voice.
After hearing this, Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed slightly. Leading the team leader, they walked around the moat and looked at the chief, "The crime scene is not at the moat. If I’m not wrong, the body was washed down from the water source."

The chief had his subordinates make notes and looked at Huo Jinnan, "Mr. Huo, then... can the cause of death still be determined?"
Huo Jinnan’s slender fingers held the cigarette, his eyes darkening a shade.
Just as the information regarding the passengers in the rear-end collision taxi on that day was found, confirming the suspect who had tampered with the brakes, the suspect met with trouble—obviously, it was murder.
After a pause, he spoke softly, "As long as it is a crime, there will always be traces to follow. It’s just a matter of time."
The chief stepped closer, "Mr. Huo, then..."
Huo Jinnan glanced at Huo Bei.
The chief stepped aside, letting Huo Bei approach.
Huo Jinnan whispered a command into Huo Bei’s ear, then turned and made his way back to the parked car.
Getting into the car, he petted the team leader.
The team leader sat crouched in the passenger seat, somber-faced.
Huo Jinnan looked down; the team leader was always proud, and anytime it failed to find clues in matters it cared greatly about, it would punish itself by sulking all day, refraining from eating or drinking, hiding somewhere, and picking fights with a pack of dogs.
He remembered the first time this happened was the day his older brother got into trouble. The team leader disappeared for a whole day and showed up in front of him the next day covered in injuries.
This was the second time the team leader had looked like this.
Since when had Che Huan become so important to the team leader?
Recalling how five years ago the team leader put Che Huan into that room, Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette, his gaze deepening as he stroked the team leader’s fur, "Did you know Huanhuan before?"
The team leader, listless, didn’t feel like engaging with Huo Jinnan and closed its eyes.

Just as Huo Jinnan’s slender fingers were about to pinch the team leader’s chin, his phone rang, and upon answering, he heard Shen Mubai’s voice.
