Chapter 448: Conversation (5)_1
Che Huan was silent for three seconds, "Let’s talk after I have taken a shower."
She got out of bed quickly and headed straight for the bathroom.
Huo Jinnan chuckled low and picked up his phone to call Huo Jinbei, "I’ve had some drinks and can’t drive. I won’t come over tonight. You stay in the hospital and let Axue come back to rest."
After hanging up, he browsed through the major websites on his phone, searching for news of the rear-end collision. There indeed was information about a mysterious gunman, but when he clicked, he couldn’t access it anymore, receiving a message, "Network link error, the website may contain a Trojan horse, security risks...".

Che Huan dawdled in the bathroom for an hour and a half. When she came out, the bedroom light was already off.
In the dimness, she could hear the man’s light snoring – sexy, pleasant, irresistibly charming.
Not wanting to wake him, Che Huan tread lightly to the bedside, quietly climbed into bed, and snuggled up to Huo Jinnan to sleep.
Just as she closed her eyes, a strong arm suddenly wrapped around her waist!
Feeling the tight grip, Che Huan opened her eyes and looked at Huo Jinnan, who was staring at her with dark, deep-set eyes.
With a radiant smile, Che Huan said softly, "Honey, haven’t you gone to sleep yet?"
"Waiting for you."
"..."
Struggling to find a lame excuse, Che Huan bit her lip, "Honey, isn’t sustainable development in vogue now?"
Huo Jinnan let go of Che Huan’s hand, "Sleep."

A week later, Huo Jinnan returned to Huo Mansion to pack up Zhong Qin’s belongings.
From the moment he entered, he didn’t utter a word.
Seeing him go upstairs, the old master had Uncle Guan support him to the second floor.
Standing in the hallway, watching Huo Jinnan go into the room, open the wardrobe, and methodically pack Zhong Qin’s clothes into a large suitcase, the old master coughed heavily, "Jinnan, what are you doing?"
Huo Jinnan remained silent, continuing to pack, as if he hadn’t heard a thing.
The old master looked at Uncle Guan, "Uncle Guan, go downstairs first and make me a cup of tea to bring up."
Uncle Guan understood the old master wanted to speak with the second young master alone, replied, and quickly walked away.
Only when Uncle Guan was far away did the old master divert his gaze back to the silhouette of Huo Jinnan, watched for a while, leaned on his cane to enter Zhong Qin’s room, and sat on the chair next to it, "Jinnan, let’s have a talk."
"..."
Silence was his response.
The old master sighed, "Jinnan, your sister..."
Huo Jinnan dropped the clothes in his hand, turned to look at the old master, "If it’s about Huo Jinyun, then there’s no need for us to talk."
"Ah..."
The old master barely started to speak when Huo Jinnan interrupted him.
"If you want to talk about the heart of my great-uncle, don’t mention it. Whatever the cost, I’ll pay Huo Jinyun. No need to devise a complicated agreement."
Huo Jinnan looked at the old master, his eyes chilling to the bone.
The old master wanted to deny it but, meeting those dark, heavy eyes, he eventually just sighed and closed his own, "Jinnan, have you ever experienced the pain of an elder burying a younger one?"
Huo Jinnan laughed coldly, "That doesn’t include my older brother, does it?"
The old master gasped for a while, "Jinnan, aren’t you tired of making things difficult for yourself?"
Huo Jinnan responded coldly, "Aren’t you tired, Grandfather? I see all your illnesses are from worry. But sadly, Huo Jinyun and Gu Jizhou don’t appreciate your good intentions."
