Noticing her pale complexion, Huo Jinnan raised his hand to lightly stroke Che Huan’s cheek, "Didn’t sleep last night?"
Che Huan nodded, "My mom wasn’t feeling well, so I didn’t dare to sleep."
Huo Jinnan picked up his phone and made a call to Shen Mubai, arranging for another top-level nurse to be added to Wen Ru’s ward.
Che Huan stood beside him, her gaze lingering affectionately on Huo Jinnan, unsure if the person her mother would have her call tomorrow could actually help her; she was completely at a loss.

Che Huan looked at him, appearing to have stayed awake all night, "Aren’t you going to sleep?"
Huo Jinnan asked a question, and recalling that the nurse was still outside, Che Huan dropped the breakfast she had been clutching and fled in panic, heading straight for the rest area.
Huo Jinnan’s eyes, deep and profound, watched her retreating figure. He lit a cigarette and took a drag. As he heard a knock, he turned his head toward the door, "Come in."
The special care nurse entered, "Mr. Huo, I’m here to take Ms. Zhong’s temperature."

He sat on the sofa, the cigarette held between his fingers, bowing his head and watching it twirl, the look in his eyes growing darker and deeper.
Just then, Huo Bei led the squad leader in.
Seeing that Che Huan wasn’t there, Huo Bei asked softly, "Sir, should we check on it?"
Huo Jinnan lifted his eyes, his gaze settling on Huo Bei, his voice chilling, "Check what?"
Huo Bei lowered his head and didn’t say anything more, but he was somewhat worried. Today, Miss Che had indeed been out for a while, a full two hours. It doesn’t take that long to buy breakfast.
