As soon as Huo Jinnan hung up the phone, she glanced at him sideways, remembering the words he had said in the hospital before, as well as the words Aunt Zhong had said to her. Guessing something, she no longer mentioned Miss Fang, and gently touched the sleeve of his arm.

He hung up, threw the phone aside, and his lips were tightly pressed together.

Seeing a red light up ahead, Huo Jinnan stopped the car, turned to look at Che Huan with slightly lowered eyes, and rubbed her fingers roughly with his rough fingertips, "Someone wants to steal your husband."
"A husband who can be stolen isn’t really a husband, right?"
Che Huan raised her eyes to look at Huo Jinnan, her eyes clear and bright.

Che Huan’s face flushed with redness. Was it Miss Fang again? Or was it Yu Zimu’s call?
Huo Jinnan, without any intention of elaboration, glanced at the indicator light with furrowed brows and saw that the red light was blinking and turning green, and soon he started the car.

Che Huan looked back at him, "Are you going out?"

Che Huan hummed affirmatively, went up to the second floor, and stood on the balcony. She saw him get into the car and quickly drive away. Her gaze lingered in the direction the car had gone for a long time before she shifted her gaze.

He entered the private room and sat opposite Qin Shaonan, lifting his gaze to ask, "When did this happen?"
Qin Shaonan, head lowered towards the ashtray, was fiddling with a half-smoked cigarette between his fingers, "I just got the news. She has already met my grandparents, and things have been settled. I have no reason nor the ability to stop it. The next move might be my third uncle’s turn. You better be prepared."
Huo Jinnan sat there silently, fixedly staring at the cigarette stub between Qin Shaonan’s fingers.

Huo Jinnan hummed in acknowledgment and lit a cigarette, taking a drag.
There was a folder next to Qin Shaonan.
He glanced at it and pushed it over to Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan took it, briefly scanned it, put it to one side without saying thanks, stood up, and straightened his tie, "I’m leaving first."
Qin Shaonan watched him leave, wondering how he would respond if his third uncle indeed made a move towards Huo Jinnan.
Yet, Huo Jinyun really was a thorny opponent!
