Chapter 311: 313 Bottom Line (1)_1
Fang Tong kept her gaze fixed on Huo Jinnan’s retreating back.
Huo Jinnan had already walked to one side.
Huo Bei leaned close to him and whispered a few words.
Huo Jinnan nodded slightly, not saying much, his slender fingers twirling the stem of a wine glass, his eyes briefly scanning the deep red wine swirling at the bottom, a stroke of thick ink reflected in his eyes.
Huo Bei, noticing Fang Tong standing not far away looking in their direction, whispered, "Sir, I think Miss Fang came specifically for you today."
"Whatever is meant to come will always find its way, and this is just the beginning," Huo Jinnan sipped his red wine lightly and glanced at Huo Bei, the end of his sentence barely audible.
Huo Bei looked at Huo Jinnan, not understanding why his reaction was so indifferent, recalling that back in the military, everyone had taken for granted that Miss Qin and the sir were an item.
The sir had neither denied nor clarified, just letting rumors run rampant.
As for what was true or false, he couldn’t tell!
It was obvious that Miss Qin was interested in the sir, but his attitude was somewhat ambiguous.
Then, thinking of Miss Chen, it seemed that the sir had never paid as much attention to Miss Qin as he did to Miss Chen, so it was likely that someone’s calculations were about to go awry.
Just then, Gu Jizhou approached, "Uncle."
Huo Jinnan glanced at Huo Bei.
Huo Bei quickly left.
Gu Jizhou drew near, smiling at Huo Jinnan, "No wonder you weren’t interested when I mentioned the branch office last time, Uncle. Turns out you’re worth a hundred billion."
Huo Jinnan stood there, his slender fingers gently running over the Windsor knot on his tie, "To provide for a wife, raise a son, one must develop some sidelines."
Fang Tong, standing not far off, heard Huo Jinnan’s voice and started, glancing in his direction.
He was married?
He had a wife and son?
Miss Huo had never mentioned this to her!
The thought of him having a wife suddenly made her chest feel tight, jealousy flaring up within her.
Soon, she calmed herself, pondering how normal it was for such an outstanding man to have a wife. So what? Divorces came a dime a dozen in these circles; it was nothing out of the ordinary! Counting around, many were on their second marriages. Being married didn’t mean she had no chance, right?
She glanced in Huo Jinnan’s direction, her exquisitely made-up eyes slightly narrowed: Huo Jinnan, you, I’m set on you!
Seeing Huo Jinyun walking over, she called out, "Mrs. Gu."
Huo Jinyun glanced in Huo Jinnan’s direction, hesitated to make a move, and turned to Gu Jizhou, "Jizhou, this is Miss Fang Tong. Please take care of her."
Gu Jizhou scanned Fang Tong’s face, his expression gradually changing—his mother must’ve arranged this!
The affair with his aunt had already been one mistake, but this was even more outrageous!
However, he couldn’t say anything to her face and still greeted Fang Tong politely.
Fang Tong extended her greetings to Gu Jizhou, then looked towards Huo Jinnan, a slow smile forming on her red lips, "It’s my first time meeting you, Second Young Master Huo, but you look so familiar. Have we met before?"
"You’re mistaken," Huo Jinnan didn’t look at Fang Tong, instead glancing at Gu Jizhou.
Gu Jizhou lacked the courage to meet his eyes, shifting his gaze to the side, feeling as if the ballroom’s oxygen had been sucked out in an instant!
"Enjoy your chat," Huo Jinnan said in a low voice, heading towards the other side.
Fang Tong stood there, her face burning red! It was the first time a man had so thoroughly ignored her time after time!
