After a moment of deep thought, he looked at Che Huan, "That little boy seems quite fond of you."
Why does uncle keep referring to the little guy?
Does he really think the little guy is her and Huo Jinnan’s child?

Che Huan glanced in Wen Ru’s direction, wanting to call out "Mom" but, fearing her mother’s extreme reaction, swallowed the word back.
Wen Nuan sat there, somewhat sulky, and quietly moved next to Che Huan, "Sister Huanhuan, what did Dad tell you?"
"Nothing much."
Che Huan smiled at Wen Nuan and sat there, her uncle’s expression coming back to her. She looked towards Wen Ru.
Could there be something she didn’t know? Suddenly, her heart seized in panic!
Her panic made everything feel like a mere mirage!

Throughout the entire day, Wen Ru didn’t pay much attention to Che Huan.
At night, Wen Nuan and Che Huan stayed behind to take care of Wen Ru.
During the night, Wen Nuan fell asleep in the corner of the bed, Che Huan dozed off in a chair, and only Huanhuan was awake, eyes wide open, looking around.
Seeing Wen Ru awake and looking towards Che Huan, Huanhuan’s eyes widened.
Wen Ru watched Che Huan for a while, tears streaming down to her pillow. She wiped them away and looked towards Huanhuan.
Huanhuan stared at Wen Ru, scratching at the ground with his paws!
Wen Ru spoke softly, "Thank you for taking care of Huanhuan."
She glanced at a blanket nearby, "I can’t move; can you help me cover them up with it?"
Wen Ru picked up the blanket and demonstrated what she wanted to Huanhuan.
Huanhuan went over, bit the blanket, and on tiptoes, clumsily but carefully draped it over Che Huan. Seeing a corner slip, Huanhuan quickly pressed it down with a paw, then gently moved away. After staring for a while to make sure the blanket didn’t fall, he turned his head to Wen Nuan, not too keen, and reluctantly helped cover her with it.
Seeing the corner of the blanket fall, Huanhuan didn’t bother with it.
Watching this, Wen Ru felt a deep affection in her heart; the dog was truly spirited. Though his movements were clumsy, they were endearingly earnest, and he was lovable.
As she watched, a shade of sadness flickered in her eyes, suddenly feeling she was even less than a dog. Over the years, she had done nothing for Huanhuan, only things that made her sad.
"Huanhuan, Mom is sorry!"

When Che Huan woke up the next day, she found a blanket over her and thought it was the nurse who had helped cover her.
Seeing Wen Nuan still asleep, she took Huanhuan out to buy breakfast. In the corridor, she encountered a nurse and made a point of saying "Thank you."
After returning, she placed the breakfast on the table and looked towards Wen Ru, "Mom."
Wen Ru’s face was cold as ice, she didn’t respond to Che Huan.
Che Huan opened the breakfast, set it down, adjusted the height of the bed, and helped Wen Ru sit up.
Wen Ru didn’t even glance at Che Huan, silently eating breakfast.
