Chapter 519: Perfect Pill

Once Cal took out the cauldron and the necessary tools from his Monarch Ring he didn’t hesitate even for a second but began to work.

First, following the steps he has memorized to succeed with his Twin Soul Separating Pill, he used his Hell Blaze and started to heat up the cauldron before he threw 20% of the collected herbs in it in a casual manner.

"No matter how long I look at it, I still feel like you are just throwing those precious herbs into the cauldron as if one would with their trash into the rubbish," Daire mumbled as he jumped down from the tree and sat beside Cal, his eyes fixed on him and his movements.

Grabbing a tool that looked like a kitchen roller, Cal summoned his Everlasting Garden and once he ripped a sharp black leaf off from a small bush, he began to grind it. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Although it may look easy, it is not," Cal explained with a calm gaze as he used his tools to either grind herbs or cut them up into pieces carefully only to extra the parts he needed, "To be honest, I can work like this because of my Blessing. If it weren’t for it, I am pretty sure I would fail the very first second trying to create the easiest pill not to mention this one."

"Your Blessing is pretty much the same as Iara’s. Both of you can remember and learn stuff just with a single glance and even utilize that knowledge to the utmost limit in mere moments." Daire pointed out without blinking, his hand still holding a small lollipop.

[I wonder what kind of flavor that lollipop has. Looks rather tasty, not gonna lie.]

Cal stole a glance at Daire, but as he quickly lost interest in him, as he was not someone who liked to eat candy, he just kept focusing on the cauldron and the process of making the pill perfect.

Daire obviously noticed this but he didn’t mind it. In fact, he was glad that Cal kept concentrating as this way he could at least learn something new.

Time passed mostly in silence just like that, with the occasional appearing of Daire’s voice, and after working with the herbs for two hours long Cal sealed the cauldron with its lid and quickly made his Hell Blaze to engulf the whole thing.

"Now we wait." Cal said with a soft sigh but with eyes still fixed on the cauldron.

After all, he can’t jus relax and take a nap, he still had to make sure he controlled the fire’s heat just perfectly without harming the herbs within.

"How long will it take for the pill to be formed?" Daire asked with curiosity, at this time lying calmly on his side on the grass with one hand supporting his head while the other one held the candy.

"I don’t know. I have never made this pill before. It can take me hours or days, but it is also possible that an entire week was needed to finish it." Cal explained nonchalantly.

"Is that so..." Daire placed the lollipop into his mouth as he mumbled, his eyes flickering with wonder as he gazed at the blaze-engulfed cauldron.

Minutes ticked by that gradually became hours that also soon turned into days. In a blink, four days have flew by with Cal doing nothing but staring at the cauldron with Daire laying beside him.

On the other hand, Khal several meters from both of them cultivated in silence without opening his eyes even for a single second! It seemed, he was so immersed in his cultivation that he didn’t even notice the moment a small bird landed on his head taking a small rest.

"Its almost done." finally speaking after four days, Cal waved his hand and under his control slowly decreased his fire’s heat.

This lasted for fifteen minutes before he he finally decided to withdrew his Hell Blaze and took the lid off from the cauldron.

BAM!

A small explosion burst out from the cauldron the very moment Cal took its lid off, sending huge amounts of dense black smoke into the sky which quickly formed clouds above Cal and the rest.

"Don’t breath it in. It will corrode your lungs if you do before doing the same with your flesh and bones." Cal warned Daire, who as a result just smiled calmly and with a casual wave of his hand created a barrier around Khal.

Cal thanked Daire with a nod and without hesitation put his hand into the cauldron, only to pull it out a second later.

’Damn it hurts so much.’ Cal thought to himself as he watched how the skin and flesh below his wrist began to melt, almost as if he had just put his hand into acid.

[Its amazing how not even your armor was incapable of protecting you from that corrosive black smoke.]

Nova exclaimed out with a hint of awe, not fazed at all that Cal was on the verge of losing a hand.

’The ingredients that were needed to make the pill were all Thousand Year old or older with properties that alone can be used on numerous things. It is only normal for them to become so damaging after you mix them together.’ Cal thought as he activated his Rejuvenating Light and watched how his hand slowly but surely began to heal.

[But if that is the case, won’t the pill kill your little friend if she consumes it?]

’It won’t.’ Cal replied briefly and gazed at the small black pill that at this moment was held by his corroded fingers, only his bones remaining intact.

"So that is the Twin Soul Separating Pill? Truly a fascinating piece of art." Daire exclaimed out with admiration as he pushed himself up from the ground.

"What now? Will you go and give it to her right away?"

Cal glanced at Daire beside him and after contemplating in silence for a few seconds he shook his head, "No, I won’t. Or at least not now."

"Huh? Why?"

"Because I first need to find her a suitable body or else if I feed him the pill and her soul gets separated, she can and very like will end up with permanent injuries both mentally and physically."
