Chapter 456: Two Souls in One Body

A/N: Please make sure to check out my new novel Lord of the Karmic Fate and if you like it please for that as that would help me a lot! Thank you!<3

Every Supreme Existence on the massive platform stared with widened eyes at the floating orb in the sky, hardly believing what they were witnessing.

"This makes no sense at all! Although time here flows faster than there, his progress is just way too ridiculous!" Nefia, Lord of the Second Realm stood with a dumbstruck expression, her cherry lips parted greatly, revealing her pearly white teeth.

"Iara, what is the meaning of this?" Selenia, the one who overruled the Fourth Realm shifted her gaze toward the Lord of the Third Realm, hoping she could give answers to them.

Iara, the petite young woman with the small little fluffy rabbit on her lap seemed to be at loss for words too but soon regained her composure and narrowed her eyes.

No one talked as everyone understood she at this moment was trying to find answers.

"This... Don’t tell" after pondering for five full minutes, suddenly Iara’s eyes widened and her hands that caressed the little rabbit froze in mid-air.

"It seems you have figured out something, right? Why don’t you share it with us?" The Lord of the Sixth Realm, Daire’s voice filled with curiosity appeared in the air, immediately breaking the silence.

Every Supreme Existence nodded, indicating they wished to know how a simple mortal was capable of acquiring Initial Mastery Level over the Divine Soul just in less than a year when even those who studied the soul in the first two Realms needed two entire years! 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Feeling the gazes on her skin, the slightly tense face of Iara soothed and after proceeding on petting the rabbit she said explained;

"It is needless to explain that the scroll in the hands of that human named Khal is called the Divine Soul Sutra, an ancient record that is capable of separating the soul into two halves once mastered hence granting one the ability to live two lives at once!"

"However, as you all know by now, there is no living being in existence that can withstand the process of their soul getting ripped apart and reconstructed as they would die immediately!"

"This is also the reason why everyone that attempted to master the Divine Soul Sutra all died in the end as everyone has one soul and without one it is impossible to keep living."

"Where do you want to go with all this useless crap?" with a voice that was filled kind of annoyance, Pilzrod threw another bone from his hand into the ocean behind his back while waving his hand and summoning another piece of pork chop into his hand.

Iara directed her gaze toward the direction where the Lord of the Fifth Realm sat and with a small hint of disgust flashing in her eyes, she said, "Then let me correct myself and allow me to ask a question instead. If a single soul is incapable of allowing a being to master the Divine Soul Sutra as in the end their soul would shatter, then what else could?"

As if realizing the answer, disbelief flashed in every Lord’s eyes, and all of them subconsciously raised their gaze at Khal’s figure.

"That mortal... Don’t tell me he possesses two souls within his body!" dropping the piece of bone from his hand onto the ground while standing up, Pilzrod asked with disbelief.

"Seems you have finally figured out, Lord Smooth Brain."

"You bitch! Don’t you think I won’t go and break all the bones in your body just because Lord Hale is present!"

"I would like to see you trying it."

The atmosphere on and around the platform at least a hundred miles dropped in temperature and even dense black clouds were starting to form in the previously clear sky!

"Okay, that is enough you two. Sit back, now." sitting on his throne, Hale spoke with a quiet but firm voice which quickly forced the two Supreme Existences on the verge of a clash to obey and sit back down.

"Haha! And here I thought some fun would happen." Daire laughed quietly, his eyes strangely flashing with disappointment.

Hale just shook his head and didn’t say anything but instead looked toward Iara and asked, "You really think he had two souls?"

"I am pretty confident, yes." once she had calmed herself down Iara nodded and said, "As for the reason why he has two souls... I have no idea, I apologize."

"It’s okay." Hale waved his hand, showing he didn’t mind it. After all, even he had no clue why or how did Khal acquire two souls so how could he expect someone with a little bit less knowledge than him to know the reason?

"Do you think he will be able to master the Divine Soul Sutra?" after a few minutes of silence Selenia raised her voice, directing her question at Iara.

Iara didn’t answer immediately but instead pondered for a few seconds before letting out a complicated sigh, "I have no clue. Maybe he can, maybe he can’t. The only thing I am sure about is that he now has a higher chance of success, way higher than until now."

"I see. Then we can only wait and see." Selenia nodded softly, a small portion of her fiery red hair falling over her right shoulder to the front.

One and half a year later...

Sitting still in the small wooden temple with his legs crossed and eyes firmly fixed on the scroll in his hand, Khal kept focusing on a small letter which was around the middle part of the text.

Bam!

Suddenly, just like whenever he succeeded in completely conquering the power of a letter, a small explosion broke out of his body, sending ripples flying in every direction around him.

"Sigh..." exhaling a huge amount of black smoke from his mouth and nostrils, Khal emptied all the air from his lungs before inhaling a great amount and curving his lips upward.

[Congratulations on finally reaching the Intermediate Mastery Level!]
