Chapter 414: Becoming Serious!
[You know, although I have said this many times, lately you have truly become arrogant. I think if you keep down on this path, you will definitely find yourself dead sooner than later!]
The current words of Nova sounded calm and collected, but for someone like Khal, who heard her talk all the time hence allowing him to understand her nature really well, this time seemed like a bucket of cold water poured down on him from above!
It felt almost as if someone took all the clothes down from his body and tied both his arms and legs together before he was tossed into the middle of a frozen domain, leaving him there to freeze to death! Different from the other times, Khal for some weird reason was able to feel the physical coldness that emitted from Nova’s voice!
’...Have I?’ finally after a long while, Khal stood in a daze as he rethought his past doings and the way he has done things. And strange enough, he had to realize that at some point in time, his confidence in his own ability truly broke the borderline and turned into arrogance!
And as that very realization hit him right in the face as if someone just slapped him, Khal felt as his whole body was suddenly soaked in a cold sweat!
’I really have become full of myself lately...’ Khal thought in his heart as he swallowed nervously.
Just now, if he would have not been woken up from his arrogance by Nova’s unique ability, although not now, but when he got to the Third Realm it was very likely his very first encounter with a powerful being would have meant his death!
Yes, he possessed several abilities and skills that no one else while also had an insane amount of Body Essence in his reserves, but those beings and beasts in the Third Realm didn’t?
One had to note that once a being achieved to become an Ascender and formed their Essence Core, that being was able to cultivate even by moving while also turning the consumed Realm Essence into Body Essence with enough time and patience!
Thus, it was not a rare sight at all in the Third Realm that beings possessed the ability to demolish mountains and destroy cities with their Body Essence alone without using any Blessing or Martial Technique!
Realizing all this, Khal closed his eyes and took a deep breath before sighing, letting out a huge amount of turbid air to calm himself down.
"Thank you."
"Huh? What did you say?" the Space Cracker in front of Khal raised a hand to the side of his head where his ear should have been located and asked, "Did you perhaps say something?"
Khal, however, simply ignored the black lizard and remained motionless while his eyes stayed closed.
"I see... So you have decided to give up, huh?" the Space Cracker laughed and clenched his fingers into a tight fist before he pulled his elbow behind, ready to throw out a punch!
"Then allow me to make this quick for you." the black lizard sneered coldly and without waiting for a reply threw a punch in a flash at Khal, creating several deep black cracks in the space around his fist which quickly traveled forward like black hungry vipers, ready to consume everything in their paths!
However, just as those black cracks could have reached Khal and split his body into hundreds of pieces, Khal finally opened his eyes.
"Form."
In that very instant as that single word was said, time and space seemed to stagnate for a split second before a sound which at first was as quiet as a fly’s buzz began to increase in pitch with every fraction of the second, turning into a massive explosion in a matter of a second!
BOOOOOOM!
The trees in the surroundings shattered, the ground split and cracked, and the space attack which was ready to claim Khal’s life altered direction, descending rapidly before hitting nothing but the ruptured earth below!
"W-What?!" the eyes of the black lizard widened as his pupils shrunk upon witnessing the sudden change of events around him and watched as he was forced onto his knees as if a massive mountain with several thousand tons suddenly fell on his back from above!
"I-Impossible... You... Are just a human!" the black lizard forced words through his clenched teeth as he struggled to raise his head, but the moment he succeeded after several seconds, the first thing he was able to see was another face being only a single inch away from his, staring into his eyes with eyes that of a beast!
Khal, who was clad from head to toe in deep bronze armor, stared at the Space Cracker with a calm but threatening gaze before he straightened his posture casually despite his surroundings still undergoing a heavy and catastrophic change by each passing second, and said, "I will grant you a final opportunity to give up and remain alive."
The black lizard eyes trembled upon hearing Khal’s words before his face turned resolute and said, "I would rather die than admit defeat to a human!"
"I see." Khal nodded and without saying a word extended his hand in front of him with his palm looking downward before clenching his fingers into a tight fist with one single and fast movement!
BAM!
Squelch!
The sound of a living body getting squashed into meat paste together with the ground shattering into hundreds of pieces in a huge area resounded in the now-demolished landscape, sending a powerful shockwave through the air which not only carried the color and smell of blood but was also so powerful that it further split the already crashed earth as if it was tofu!
And right after that was done, the armor on Khal vanished into thin air while the chaos around him finally began to calm down before Khal himself was engulfed in golden light and was teleported away, indicating he has won his fight... Once again!
However, every being and creature witnessing this sight remained silent and motionless, some even becoming so dormant that they forgot how to breathe and only started to fill their lungs with air once their brain warned and forced them to respire!
And once every being finally snapped out of their daze, the whole Second Realm exploded into an upheaval!
