Chapter 2534: Leaving Primordial Chaos

Even long after Lucian left the scene, Yuan remained lingering in the void with a pondering expression on his face, contemplating everything he’d just learned.

Although he still had many questions, there was one thing that he understood clearly from his conversation with Lucian.

’Deemo... that bastard cannot be trusted.’ Yuan thought to himself.

While he already had a vague feeling that Deemo was hiding things from him, he could never have anticipated that Qian Chu was somehow related.

’Just what was Qian Chu doing for Deemo? And why did Lucian just leave after being summoned?’

Some time later, Yuan returned to Tian Qiyuan’s world, where Angela and Helena were nervously waiting.

"You’re back!"

They rushed over the moment they sensed his presence enter the world.

"Where’s Lucian? What happened?"

"Did you kill him?"

They bombarded him with questions.

"Calm down," Yuan said to them as he took a few steps back. "He’s fine, and he told me about a few things. Do you want to hear the good or bad news first?"

"Uh..."

Helena and Angela exchanged glances for a moment before responding simultaneously, "The good news first."

"Good news, there are still other Transcendents out there. Bad news, there are only two of them left, so there are five of you in existence right now."

"Only two left...? What happened to the others? Selena told us that the Demon God claimed he didn’t kill them during our fight, even though we witnessed it with our own eyes," asked Angela with a puzzled face.

"It’s true," Yuan said before elaborating. "The Demon God did not kill your friends. Instead, he forced them to participate in some gladiator-style event used purely to entertain Eternals—gods like the Demon God."

"What?! So they’ve been fighting for the Demon God this entire time?! That’s a fate even worse than death!" Angela exclaimed in shock after hearing this.

Yuan nodded.

"According to Lucian, there were six of them in the beginning. Unfortunately, there are only two of them remaining now."

"..."

Helena fell silent, her head lowered slightly, as if mourning her companions.

"Did you find out why he suddenly attacked us?" Angela then asked.

"It’s a curse from the Demon God that forces them to kill any demon they encounter for whatever reason."

"That’s outrageous!"

"Does that mean we can’t even meet them? Since they will just try to kill us?" Helena asked.

"Most likely, unless we remove the curse."

"Damn it..." Angela gritted her teeth angrily.

"It’s unfortunate, but there’s nothing we can do now," Yuan said while shaking his head.

After all, Deemo was simply too powerful.

"Unless we somehow find another Prime Eternal who’d be willing to help us deal with Deemo, there’s nothing we can realistically do to him," he added.

"And what are the chances of something like that happening?"

Yuan shrugged.

"I don’t know any other Prime Eternals besides Deemo..."

After a slight pause, he added, "Actually, I do know another Prime Eternal, but they are after my life, so there’s that."

"Lord Shiva wants me to ask—which Prime Eternal did you offend?" Mu Xuelian suddenly asked.

"Someone called Morveth."

"MORVETH?!" Shiva abruptly took control of Mu Xuelian’s body just to exclaim in shock.

"You offended Morveth?! How in the universe did you manage to do that?!"

"I killed one of her pets or something," he calmly replied.

"Unbelievable..." she muttered in a daze before continuing, "Out of the five Prime Eternal, Morveth is the most vengeful. If you offend her even slightly, you can expect a gruesome retaliation."

"Well, she’s already tried to kill me once. If it weren’t for Deemo, I wouldn’t be alive right now."

"You... should probably return to the Nine Heavens and stay there." Shiva shook her head.

"So, what are your plans now? And what should we do?" Angela asked.

Yuan looked at them and said, "I promised that I’d let you explore this world if you helped me clean up with Forsaken, and since you’ve done just that, I don’t have a reason to keep you with me any longer. Go and have fun, but remember not to cause any trouble."

"I guess it’ll help us take our minds off the others..." Helena sighed.

"When do you think Selena will be able to join us?"

Yuan shrugged, "She’ll likely be busy trying to unite the Demonic Realm and the Nine Heavens for some time, but you can join her if you’d like. Just make sure you don’t go in your true appearance and disguise yourself like her."

"Alright. We’ll meet up with her first, then decide."

Angela and Helena left his world shortly after, leaving Yuan and My Xuelian behind.

"What now?" Shiva asked.

Yuan pondered for a moment before responding, "I was going to deal with the Celestial Overlords, but I am currently waiting for something, so instead, let’s go visit another Eternal."

"What?" Shiva raised her eyebrows.

"You said you know another Eternal who’s being sealed in the Nine Heavens, correct? Let’s go meet them."

"Seriously? You’d be willing to help?"

"That will depend entirely on the Eternal’s personality and whether they’re dangerous or not. Do you know where they are sealed?"

"Well, I know where he was sealed before this world was split into nine realms, but not anymore."

"Do you remember any details about the location?"

"I remember that it had a lot of mountains, and there were beasts that recently settled nearby."

Yuan raised an eyebrow at her description and wondered if this Eternal was the same one he had encountered in Heavenly White Valley.

"I want to bring you somewhere first," Yuan said a moment later.

Some time later, they left Tian Qiyuan’s world and prepared to return to the Nine Heavens.

However, as they traversed the Primordial Chaos, they noticed something off about the atmosphere there.

"Is it just me, or has this place gotten a lot quieter?" Mu Xuelian wondered aloud.

"No, it has definitely gotten quieter," Yuan responded with a thoughtful expression. "We were being swarmed by magical beasts on our way here, but now I cannot detect even a single one with my divine sense."

It was almost as if all the magical beasts in the Primordial Chaos had been erased.

Suddenly, Mu Xuelian came to a halt, and her entire aura changed, as Shiva had taken over.

"Shiva?" Yuan turned to look at her, only to find her staring in a certain direction in the void. However, when he followed her gaze, he saw nothing but countless stars scattered across the vast distance.

"What do you see?" Yuan asked.

"I don’t know," she replied in a nervous voice.

"What?" Yuan raised his eyebrows, looking puzzled.

Not only did Shiva make no sense, but this was the first time he’d seen her look so nervous.

"I don’t see anything, but my instincts are screaming at me right now," she continued. "My instincts as an Eternal..."

"Wait..."

A look of realization suddenly appeared on her face, and she muttered, "But there’s no way... Why would she be here?"

"Who?" Yuan inquired with a frown, an ominous feeling growing in his guts.

"Hil—"

Shiva opened her mouth to speak, but before she could even say a single word, she felt something covering her mouth.

Sensing this, Shiva did not dare to move, her entire body turning as stiff as a frozen statue.

"I wanted to remain as a spectator for a little longer, but you had to ruin it."

A calm voice suddenly echoed in the void, alerting Yuan, even though he still could not sense anyone nearby.

"Allow me to introduce myself."

The voice continued, and the space behind Shiva suddenly began to bend, revealing a figure—or more precisely, a barely noticeable outline of an invisible figure who had their hand covering Shiva’s mouth.

"Who are you?" Yuan asked, preparing to engage in combat at any moment.

"My name is Hilla."

"Hilla?" Yuan quickly recognized the name.

"One of five Prime Eternals?"

"Oh? You recognize my name? How unexpected for a mortal."

"And what does a powerful being like you want from us?"

The invisible figured claiming to be Hilla removed her hand from Shiva’s mouth and said, "Nothing."

"You really expect me to believe that?"

"Saaruk," Hilla suddenly mentioned another familiar name.

"Recognize it?" she asked.

"Of course..." Yuan narrowed his eyes slightly. "Don’t tell me you’re here to avenge him or something?"

"Avenge him...?" Hilla muttered in a somewhat dumbfounded voice.

"Hahaha!" she suddenly burst into laughter.

"He is nothing more than an idiot who loves pretending to be stronger than he truly is. I could not care less if an idiot like him is killed."

"Then why did you mention him?"

"Because he allowed me to discover an intriguing existence like you, being useful for once."

The invisible figure slowly approached Yuan before circling around him.

"..."

Yuan watched her every movement in silence, wondering what she was planning.

Then, Hilla spoke again, "A mortal who is not only capable of wielding Eternal Essence, but one that can even absorb the Essence of the Void? You have piqued my interest," Hilla said.
