"An all-out war?" Zhou Yanfei chuckled at Qian Chu’s words. "I’m sure that’s what you want, considering that you have been scheming against our Demon Sealing Grotto ever since you came into power."
"That’s slander!" Qian Chu’s supporters shouted angrily.
"Slander?" Zhou Yanfei calmly shook his head. "It’s a fact that our Demon Sealing Grotto has suffered far more casualties and abnormalities ever since Qian Chu became Clan Leader—missing members, random ambushes, and more."
"How can you blame Leader Qian for any of that?!"
"Right?! It’s just that the members of the Demon Sealing Grotto are lacking in ability!" Qian Chu’s supporters retorted.
"I heard that the Demon Sealing Grotto’s headquarters was recently attacked by demons. Are you going to blame that on Leader Qian, too?!"
"You’re too much, Demon Sealing Grotto! Look at how lowly you’ve fallen!"

Zhou Yanfei and the rest of the Demon Sealing Grotto remained silent as Qian Chu’s supporters hurled insults at them.
Eventually, Zhou Yanfei stared at Qian Chu and said, "I—We did not come here today to argue with you or the Demon Sealing Clan."
"Then why are you here today?"
Zhou Yanfei walked to stand in front of Yan Hara and suddenly lowered his head, bowing to her respectfully.
The members of the Demon Sealing Grotto behind him followed his gesture, bowing to her.
"We are here today to show our support for Yan Hara, who will lead the Demon Sealing Clan and the Demon Sealing Grotto in the near future."
"?!?!"
The entire place fell silent.
Even though Yan Hara had already mentioned the Demon Sealing Grotto’s desire to merge with the Demon Sealing Clan, many of them did not actually believe her, most of them being Qian Chu’s supporters.
Yan Hara turned to face Qian Chu and said, "Since we are already here, I no longer see a reason to hide this any longer."
"Qian Chu, although I do not know what you’re scheming, I am certain that you do not care about the Demon Sealing Clan or have any interest in sealing demons. As a matter of fact, I know that you’re working for the demons!"
"What?!"
Zhou Yanfei and most of the people there expressed shock after hearing Yan Hara’s outrageous claim.
However, for some reason, many of Qian Chu’s supporters did not have such a reaction, most of them looking eerily calm.
"Me? Working for demons?" Qian Chu mumbled before bursting out in laughter. "Yan Hara, your claims are getting more and more outrageous! You must truly be out of your mind! What evidence do you have that I am working for demons?! If you really think you can force me out of my position with such slander, think again!"
Yan Hara remained calm and said, "Unfortunately, I do not have any solid evidence that you’re working for the demons, but even so, I never intended to rely on this information to bring you down."
"Then why even bother mentioning it?! If anything, it puts your credibility to question!"
"I mentioned it just purely to let you know that I know about it," said Yan Hara.
A smile suddenly tugged at her lips and said, "Qian Chu, I challenge you to the Demon Slaying Parade. If you lose, you will have to give up being the leader of the Demon Sealing Clan."
Qian Chu smiled and said, "Then if you lose, you will hand over the Divine Paragon’s demon sealing techniques."
"What?! Don’t do it, Yan Hara! We don’t need to do something so risky when we can just remove him by force!" Zhou Yanfei exclaimed.
"Senior Zhou is right, Senior Yan! The Divine Paragon’s legacy can’t be handed to someone who might be colluding with demons! They’ll definitely try to destroy them!" her supporters echoed.
Yan Hara shook her head and sighed.
"If I’m going to lead the Demon Sealing Clan and the Demon Sealing Grotto in the future, I need to prove myself properly. As much as I hate to admit it, Qian Chu is right that merely inheriting the Divine Paragon’s legacy doesn’t automatically qualify me to be the Clan Leader. That is why I will challenge him for his position."
She turned to face them and asked loudly, "Or do you think that I will lose him?!"
"That’s not it, Yan Hara." Zhou Yanfei said. "It is not that we doubt your abilities. We just don’t want anything to go wrong and lose you. After all, the Demon Slaying Parade isn’t exactly a safe event."
"Don’t worry, I will be fine." Yan Hara said with a confident smile on her face.
She turned to stare at Qian Chu in the eyes the following moment and said, "I agree to your terms."
"Then we will commence the Demon Slaying Parade exactly one month from now!"
After saying that, Qian Chu turned around and disappeared back into the library with his supporters.
"Why would you make a wager involving the Divine Paragon’s legacy, especially with that hateful bastard Qian Chu of all people?" Zhou Yanfei asked Yan Hara with a worried face.
After learning of Qian Chu’s return, Zhou Yanfei arrived at the library alongside the entirety of the Demon Sealing Grotto. Though he had no intention of starting a conflict, he was fully prepared to help Yan Hara force Qian Chu to step down if necessary.
Yet all of his efforts had been for nothing, and to make matters worse, even the Divine Paragon’s legacy was now in jeopardy.
"I am confident that I can beat Qian Chu," Yan Hara said.
"What if he plays dirty?"
"Play dirty? And how exactly would he do that?" Yan Hara raised an eyebrow.
"The Demon Slaying Parade won’t just be witnessed by the Demon Sealing Clan—many factions and outsiders will also be present. Furthermore, once the event begins, only Qian Chu and I will be allowed inside the arena."
"I don’t know, but Qian Chu is a crafty bastard. I just think it’s better if we play it safe."
Yan Hara shook her head and sighed, "Qian Chu is also a stubborn bastard who won’t give up his position without a fight. If we try to force him, there will be many casualties, and I want to avoid that if possible."
