Chapter 569: Chapter 487: Rampant Domination
"Who the hell are you?"
Among the thirteen, a Wizard wearing a monocle and holding a Metal book in his hands spoke in a low voice.
On his monocle, streams of data were flashing past at high speed.
This was a High-level detection Witchcraft, capable of analyzing a target’s Energy composition, Law inclination, and even Soul Strength.
But right now, the more he analyzed, the uglier his expression became.
Because the analysis result... was all garbled code.
Which meant "unable to parse."
The Soul Strength was clearly only at the Peak of Fifth Level, yet the external Energy Protection was so complex it was like a maze; his detection Witchcraft couldn’t even penetrate the outermost layer.
What was even more terrifying was...
"Be careful."
The monocled Wizard took a deep breath and said to his companions, his voice dry:
"That guy... the ’Energy Level’ of that attack just now already reached the standard of Sixth Level Sorcery."
As soon as he said this, the faces of all the Wizards around them changed.
They had known Jeming’s attack just now was ridiculously strong, but they truly hadn’t expected it to lead to this conclusion.
Sixth Level?
A Fifth Level Wizard, casually throwing out an attack whose power could reach Sixth Level?!
What kind of sick joke was that!
"Impossible!" a Wizard in Heavy Armor, wielding a giant hammer, growled. "There’s an essential gap between Fifth Level and Sixth Level! Even if he has some kind of explosive secret art, it’s impossible to leap across such a huge Level difference..."
"But facts are facts."
The monocled Wizard cut him off, his voice carrying a faint, almost imperceptible tremor:
"My ’Eye of Truth’ does not make mistakes. That guy just now released a total of two streaks of dark-golden light. Whether it’s Energy density, Law integrity, or actual destructive power, they all solidly reached the standard of Sixth Level."
He paused, looking toward Jeming, his eyes full of dread:
"This guy... either he’s hiding his true Level, or he’s mastered some sort of Forbidden Technique we can’t comprehend, something that can massively amplify Witchcraft power."
But whichever it was, it spelled danger.
Extreme danger.
For a moment, all the Wizards were like enemies at the gates.
Looking at the seemingly still-unprotected Jeming, they no longer held back and began to unleash their strongest Protective Magic one after another.
A female Wizard pressed her hands together, raising a transparent Force Field around her.
Within the Force Field, light began to twist, refract, and split, forming countless tiny prism structures like a kaleidoscope.
Any light-based attack entering this Force Field would be refracted and scattered infinitely, eventually dissipating into nothing.
Clearly, her defense was tailored specifically against that kind of "dark-golden light" from Jeming.
The other Wizards also showed their tricks:
One Summoned a massive Rock Giant of Obsidian to stand in front of him; another laid layer upon layer of Curse traps under his feet; one directly entered a semi-ethereal state, his body constantly switching between physical form and Energy Body; another even began preparing a large-scale spatial sealing Witchcraft to prevent Jeming from escaping.
...Although from the way things looked, that spatial sealing Witchcraft seemed more like they were trying to prevent Jeming from "chasing."
Watching them frantically setting up defenses, Jeming’s eyes remained calm.
As if he hadn’t even seen those Protective Magic forming, he spoke on his own:
"During this period, the loss rate and Death rate of scouting squads in this area have been far higher than in other sectors."
"On average, out of every ten squads sent out, seven go missing, and three retreat with heavy injuries."
"And the intel brought back by the squads that make it back all point to the same phenomenon—running into an ambush by enemies in numbers ’far beyond normal,’ with enemies coordinating seamlessly and using insidious tactics."
Jeming’s gaze slowly swept over the thirteen Wizards around him, his voice calm:
"Looks like... that was you."
"Those two guys I just took out, they were your ’teammates’ too, weren’t they?"
Among the thirteen Wizards, one who had Summoned three Rock Giants thirty meters tall, each made entirely of Obsidian, let out a cold laugh at these words:
"You guessed right."
Then he looked toward the other companions:
"Don’t go head-on with him! Stall him! We just need to hold out for three more minutes... no, two minutes! The Sixth Level Wizard on our side will be here by then!"
"When that happens, no matter what trump cards he has, he’s dead for sure!"
Hearing this, the other Wizards’ spirits lifted.
Right—!
They weren’t fighting alone!
This area was the "hunting ground" set up by the Chaos Secret Sect and the Tower of Annihilation Alliance Army.
Besides them, these Fifth Level elites, there were at least three Sixth Level Wizards stationed in the rear, ready to reinforce at any time!
They just needed to stall this monster for two minutes!
Jeming, hearing this, actually smiled.
In that smile, there wasn’t the slightest tension; instead, there was a sort of... playful amusement, as if he’d just heard something interesting.
"A Sixth Level Wizard is coming, huh?"
He nodded, his tone as casual as discussing what to eat for dinner:
"In that case, it seems I’d better finish you all off quickly."
"Can’t have... time being wasted."
As his words fell, Jeming raised his right hand.
His index finger extended, and a speck of dark-golden light began to gather at the fingertip once more.
"Stop him!!!"
The monocled Wizard roared hoarsely.
Almost at the same instant, the thirteen Wizards launched their attacks simultaneously.
"Earth Prison!!!"
The Wizard who’d Summoned the Rock Giants slammed both palms onto the ground. The molten earth beneath Jeming’s feet suddenly exploded, countless thick stone tendrils bursting forth, coiling around Jeming’s legs like giant pythons.
"Elemental Uprising!!!"
Another Wizard raised his Magic Staff high, and the Elements in the sky went violently berserk—Fireballs, ice lances, Thunder Serpents, Wind Blades... tens of thousands of chaotic Elemental Attacks pelted down on Jeming like a torrential rain.
