Chapter 2136: Intersection Between Three Central Regions
Feeling a sense of confusion over the odd group of wandering cultivator that had ended up clashing with them like their lives depended on it for a single spiritual herb, that while valuable, shouldn’t have been enough for the group of wandering cultivators to seemingly risk their lives fighting the two of them, Qing Yi and Chun Hua both decided to try and learn more about this group of wandering cultivators before returning to the sect. Feeling that their sudden appearance without any prior knowledge about the Northern Central Region hinted at them either having accidentally ended up inside the Northern Central Region through some kind of long distance teleportation formation or some incomprehensible way for some major power outside the Northern Central Region to test the strength of the Star Shattering Sect’s younger generation.
Of course, with the latter being extremely unlikely considering the last failed attempt at testing the Star Shattering Sect from a force outside the Northern Central Region, Chun Hua and Qing Yi found themselves more inclined to believe that the group of clueless wandering cultivators had come from another central region through some kind of ancient long distance teleportation formation that placed them close to or directly inside the borders of the sect.
Although this might not mean much given how much the territory of the Star Shattering Sect had grown compared to the past and the vast quantities of ancient structures and ruins scattered throughout the territory of the sect, it would still be troublesome if groups of clueless wandering cultivators without any regard for their surroundings began showing up in increasingly large numbers and started attacking the disciples and smaller branch sects under the sect.
Something that was very possible given the fact that the Star Shattering Sect and its territory was located outside the core of the Northern Central Region where the different major powers from the northern region of the continent resided. Making the wandering cultivators without any prior knowledge of the Star Shattering Sect believe that they had ended up in the territory of some weak minor power whose highest level of strength was only barely at the Soul Ascension Realm.
To avoid this kind of situation and to also minimize the potential future losses of the sect, they had to find out where these clueless wandering cultivators came from and at the same time also inform the sect itself about the situation so more disciples and elders could be sent over to stabilize the situation. After all, there was a good chance that the group of wandering cultivators the two of them had encountered weren’t all of them and was only a small number of the wandering cultivators that now moved around within the borders of the Star Shattering Sect acting without any regard for the local powers that they might even directly view as inferior and not worth their time.
The only good thing so far being the fact that the Star Shattering Sect was easy to learn about and with time, these wandering cultivators would inevitably learn about the sect’s existence.
But... before that, they could do a lot of damage to the Star Shattering Sect whose branch sects and different resources was generally not guarded by anyone above the Soul Ascension Realm because there was still a clear lack of Dao Seed Realm cultivators within the current sect, with most of these powerful elders either guarding certain important locations of paramount importance to the sect or stationed within the main sect to teach the younger generation or further their own cultivation.
When it came to the entirety of the old Sky Empire that could now be considered to have started being fully integrated into the Star Shattering Sect, only a single Dao Seed Realm Elder kept an eye on the situation there from time to time, with the territory mostly being managed by a few independent powers left over from the fall of the Sky Empire and elders between the Domain Lord Realm and the Soul Ascension Realm.
On the outside and to someone not in the know about the Star Shattering Sect, the current territory of the old Sky Empire looked like one controlled by countless smaller factions, when in fact, these smaller factions had no control over the territory and were in fact in the process of being integrated into the Star Shattering Sect.
Keeping all of this in mind, Chun Hua and Qing Yi didn’t linger around the forest they had ended up crashing into for long, as one of them directly send a message back to the sect about what they had experienced while the other attempted to figure out where they had landed.
"This is... I don’t know..." Unfortunately, even if the two of them had memorized the general map of the northern region that mapped out most locations of note, there wasn’t exactly anything special about the forest that they had landed in that could be used to pinpoint their current location.
"The normal communication talisman doesn’t work either, so we should be rather far away from the sect. Might have even been teleported somewhere by some failsafe created by master when we were knocked flying." Coming to a similar conclusion as Chun Hua, Qing Yi who had pulled out the standard communication talisman added her own thoughts upon seeing the communication talisman failing to send a message back to the sect. Indicating just how far from the sect their current location was.
"Teleportation... Well... Master is proficient in the Dao of Space, so a random teleportation when we encounter danger makes sense..." Hearing what Qing Yi said, Chun Hua slowly nodded her head in agreement as she tried to remember the few minutes the two of them had been knocked into the distance by those odd wandering cultivators last desperate attack.
Usurpingly, the speed at which the two of them had been moving was far too fast for her to have picked up anything and Qing Yi was much the same as her. Only able to detect the protective power belonging to their master that had shrouded them when they had been hit by that powerful attack.
Even if they had really been pulled through the void of space because of that power to drag them to a safe location away from the battle with the wandering cultivators that had managed to launch a combined attack strong enough to overcome their combined defenses, there would have been no way for either of them to sense it, as the protective power that had shrouded their body cut of their external divine sense to prevent any potential damage as the two of them were sent flying.
Still... Given how their normal communication talisman couldn’t even reach the closest branch sect, the two of them guessed that they should have been dragged through space by their master’s power to safety. Problem was, they had no idea where they had ended up nor just how far their master’s power could take the two of them in a few minutes.
The only thing they knew for certain was the fact that their master should have learnt about their predicament when that hidden force activated and protected the two of them.
And... He did indeed sense it the second the power guarding the two of them activated while in the process of climbing the staircase leading up to the twenty ninth floor of the ascension tower.
But contrary to the two of them who were hoping their master might soon show up and help them get back, Xuan Hao only briefly closed his eyes to sense the situation of his two disciples through the tiny fraction of himself he had left with them to ensure their safety. Sensing that the two of them weren’t in any danger any longer and were in fact safe.
The only somewhat surprising thing when he sensed the state of these two disciples was the fact that he realized that the two of them had somehow ended up in the Western Central Region after the power he had left to reside inside of them had made use of the Dao of Space to pull the two of them out of danger.
Not somewhere in the middle of the Western Central Region nor the edge between the Northern Central Region and the Western Central Region. Instead, the two had ended up somewhere where the Western Central Region, Northern Central Region and Southern Central Region intersected. Ending up on the Western Central Region side.
Far away as this location was from the Star Shattering Sect, going through what little information he had on the different borders between central regions, it didn’t take long to understand that the place the two had ended up was somewhere of little importance with no major power around and a place where wandering cultivators travelling between the three central regions were the most common sight.
In other words, after a short break, Xuan Hao resumed his journey up the staircase. Seeing the situation of Chun Hua and Qing Yi as a perfect situation for the two of them to hone themselves.
