Chapter 2113: New Changes to the Twenty Seventh Floor

Moving down along the path he had once moved up to reach the twenty eighth floor, it didn’t take long for him to realize that the environment centered around the stairs leading downwards had shifted from bright points of light all around into one of eternal darkness with no sign of light no matter what direction he looked. Like entering a dead galaxy with no stars around, everything had died off and nothing could be gleamed from the space around the stairs down. All he could do was continue descending while trying to see if there was anything to note within that darkness.

Doubtful that the darkness was just a blank space with nothing in it, as he clearly felt a very distinct feeling of something moving within the darkness, it was just that whatever moved around within the darkness was too far away for his divine sense to pick up on and all he could do was sense the subtle movements of something massive in the distance as he continued descending down towards the twenty seventh floor.

Noticing during his descent that whatever moved around within the darkness wasn’t just a single thing but multiple large things that in his eyes could either be some kind of massive lifeform or some smaller world that remained hidden within the darkness.

No matter what it was, it wasn’t anything he could investigate for now, as his divine sense coverage was far too small to reach those massive things moving within the darkness for. Not so much because the range covered by his divine sense was small by any means, but instead because the dark space between the twenty seventh floor and the twenty eighth floor of the tower was far too vast.

Vast to the point that even his divine sense, that by size alone, could cover an area comparable to someone in the Star Creation Realm thanks to his powerful soul, was nothing more than a drop in the ocean. Even if he reached the Star Creation Realm in the future, he doubted his divine sense would get anywhere close to reaching those massive things moving around within the eternal darkness unless one happened to brush up against the space near the staircase.

Then again, even if he could reach those things moving around within the eternal darkness with his divine sense, he had a feeling doing so might result in him being targeted by a potentially powerful lifeform and sent back down to the ground floor of the ascension realm tower to start all over again. In a way, it might even be some kind of challenge to avoid the attention of the lifeforms lurking around within the darkness when descending downwards along the original path instead of using the teleportation function that would normally take one between floors without having to go through this cumbersome day long travel downwards.

However, though there might be danger involved, Xuan Hao understood that he would still use his divine sense on those things moving around within the darkness without the slightest bit of hesitation should the opportunity present itself. His curiosity about them simply being far too big to make him ignore them when even death only meant being set back by a few days.

At the same time, the changes to the path down to the twenty seventh floor of the tower also gave him some hope that he would be able to return to the twenty seventh floor and avoid the hundred-year wait time in this manner.

Just to be sure he was ready in case he could really return to the twenty seventh floor of the tower, he had made sure to raid the sect storage room before returning to the ascension realm tower and caried more than enough special spiritual metal not easily found within the small world of the twenty seventh floor along with a large pile of unused interspatial rings.

With this, several days quickly flew by descending through the darkness with only the stairs he travelled along illuminated by the faint spiritual light of embedded spiritual stone that unsurprisingly couldn’t be forcibly pried out of the stairs even with his strength at the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm and by the fourth day of travel, he found himself standing at the end up the stairs. In front of him was the passage he had passed through in the past when ascending from the spiral staircase within the small world of the twenty seventh floor towards this long staircase leading up to the twenty eighth floor.

Only, different from the world ending scene he had seen back then, the scene he saw on the other side was completely different from either of the two scenarios he had expected to see.

The world beyond the passage wasn’t one that resembled the small world nor was it that of a destroyed world.

Instead, what he saw was countless smaller floating worlds scattered throughout a vast area that was undoubtedly larger than the small world from back then, each of these smaller floating worlds forming a small power of their own with the very clear presence of being at the Land Creation Realm being present within some of the floating worlds that his divine sense could sense from afar.

The spiral staircase that should have been present on the other side at the very center of this space being in a hidden state of sorts that made it invisible for anyone outside of him, looking down from above at this changed world

Still, though he found this change a bit confusing, a few signs soon made it clear to him what had happened to this floor of the dungeon following the world destroying catastrophe he had caused when ascending towards the immortal world in the eyes of the local inhabitants.

From these signs, he put together that the small floating world scattered around this large space were the remnants of the old small world that had been shattered back then and over the years been transformed into the countless small floating worlds by the survivors from the disaster back then. Most of these survivors obviously belonging to the weaker sects and powers that had once existed at the very edge of the small world, as there was absolutely no way for those major powers that had existed at the very core of the small world to have survived given how the world destroying palm descending from above had fallen there.

Even if someone had been lucky enough to survive back then, they would have been in the minority and should have perished over the long years, as the kind of development that had shaped the now transformed twenty seventh floor of the tower wasn’t something that could take place over just a few million years.

If he wasn’t wrong, it might have been tens of millions of years since the destruction of the small world. Meaning that information of that era might have already vanished outside of a few legends.

Still, though this change was bad for someone like himself who wanted to trade with the Star Creation Realm cultivators who had once been abundant or even seize all the resources of that small world when he grew strong enough in the future, it wasn’t entirely a bad thing, as he clearly sensed that the current environment of the twenty seventh floor was optimal for the birth of spatial heavenly and earthly treasures.

After all, throughout the vast space that separated the small floating world, there were countless spatial anomalies and spatial storms sweeping through the space. Making travel between these small floating worlds deadly even for someone at the Profound Immortal Realm, while at the same time also serving as a perfect place for nurturing different spatial heavenly and earthly treasures.

Something Xuan Hao witnessed firsthand, as just a short distance away from the passage down to the twenty seventh floor, he sensed a spatial heavenly treasure that had formed with a small spatial storm that had been ongoing for countless years without any of the locals stumbling on it by accident because of how deadly travelling outside those small floating worlds were.

[Can’t enter the floor ahead.]

[Time Limit: 99 years...]

But as he tried to push forward to grab this precious cultivation resource for deepening his comprehension of the Dao of Space, he was met with a cold slap to the face from the ascension realm tower. Preventing him from moving through the seemingly thin barrier that separated him from the twenty seventh floor of the tower.

To say he was annoyed at this arbitrary time limit would be an understatement. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about, so, with a final reluctant glance in the direction of the spatial heavenly treasure, he began making his journey back up towards the twenty eighth floor of the tower. Finding out much to his annoyance that there wasn’t any kind of teleportation formation around for him to move through and no way for him to end things and go back to the ground floor with those things moving around in the darkness ignoring his presence entirely.
