Chapter 1068: Chapter 552: Extra Story: Alice Robinson, The One He Spoiled

"There won’t be any ’perhaps’ anymore..."

As she said this, Alice Robinson saw Chester Robinson.

He had just stepped out of the car, hand in hand with the elegant lady inside.

The woman stood beside him like a petite bird, affectionately holding onto him.

Rebecca Quentin followed Alice’s gaze and also focused on the graceful woman beside Chester.

Chester had good taste; that woman looked gentle and virtuous, beautiful and poised. Standing next to Chester, they seemed perfectly in sync.

Alice recognized that woman; she was the one who had a lively conversation with Chester at the banquet, and later Chester personally drove her home.

As Alice was about to withdraw her gaze, she inadvertently made eye contact with Chester...

His gaze was not intentionally cold, yet it didn’t hold much emotion either.

Alice had already looked away, saying, "I’ll go ask the minister roughly when the wedding ceremony will take place so Mr. Jones can get ready..."

"...Hmm." Rebecca wanted to say something but ultimately remained silent. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Alice left.

Chester and his girlfriend walked towards Rebecca...

Half an hour later, the wedding ceremony began...

Christine Quinn walked arm in arm with Skyler Jones up the red carpet...

Marilyn Quinn and Andrew Geoffrey, acting as the flower children, scattered rose petals into the air...

The rose petals danced in the sky, and Alice accompanied the groomsman, following the newlyweds on the red carpet...

Friends and family on both sides clapped in congratulations, while numerous media clamored from a distance...

The wedding of Skyler and Christine, though not distinctively unique, was humble and sincere, which made it even more enviable...

As a woman, who wouldn’t want to walk towards the minister in a pure white wedding dress, arm in arm with someone who brings peace to their heart?

Alice thought absentmindedly, yet even if she purposely tried not to notice, she was still acutely aware of his presence.

She noticed he was wearing a well-tailored black suit today...

He rarely dressed so formally; usually, his most striking impression was his white attire, exuding the demeanor of a doctor unreservedly.

When he wore a suit, there was no way to associate him with the usual doctor image because he appeared noble, coldly arrogant, full of vigor, and with an air of superiority.

This demeanor could also be seen in Skyler and Howard Geoffrey because they were the same kind of people—proud, arrogant, yet with the capital to back it up.

He was currently engaged in conversation with Howard Geoffrey...

It seemed they had indeed turned hostility into friendship.

The minister solemnly recited the wedding vows as Alice stood below, quietly watching.

When Skyler and Christine looked deeply into each other’s eyes and said ’I do,’ Alice’s eyes reddened, filled with tears of emotion.

Their love had been so difficult and challenging, yet ultimately, they still held each other’s hands, to grow old together...

The deep love in their eyes moved everyone present.

Skyler firmly kissed Christine, amidst a rain of flowers; under the Eiffel Tower, he gave her a lifetime promise.

"Over here, over here..."

When the bride tossed the bouquet, all the women present eagerly rushed forward...

Whether it was Christine’s intention or destiny, the bouquet landed right into the hands of Alice, pushed forward by Rebecca.

Holding the bouquet, Alice stood there in a daze for several seconds.

Christine descended from the platform and personally said to her, "Congratulations... Alice, it is said that those who catch the bride’s bouquet will soon become brides themselves. I wish you happiness."

"Th-thank you, Christine."

The wedding ceremony concluded...

Everyone was supposed to head straight to the wedding banquet venue, but Uncle Grant called Alice.

Uncle Grant mentioned some issues at the northern vineyard and needed Alice to go there personally, stressing it was quite urgent.

Alice knew it was improper to leave as a bridesmaid, intending to delay it for a bit, but Rebecca overheard her conversation with Uncle Grant by chance and realized the severity of the matter, so she took the initiative to inform Christine, allowing Alice to leave early to handle the issue.

Alice felt quite apologetic and thus had a drink with the newlyweds as an apology.

After drinking, Alice prepared to leave first, but as she turned, she unexpectedly ran into Chester and his girlfriend, who had come over to toast Skyler.

At that moment, Alice was stunned.

Chester’s gaze fell on her suddenly pale face.

"Miss Robinson."

Chester’s girlfriend greeted Alice proactively, with much courtesy.

Noticing all the guests around were watching them, Alice opened her lips dryly, calling out, "Brother."
