Chapter 1044: Chapter 538: Extra: Stay with Me 2
"Mommy, I want to sleep," Rachel was rubbing her eyes with her hands.
"You little rascal, you stayed up so late last night, of course you’re sleepy now... Okay, Mommy will carry you upstairs to sleep now."
"Okay." Rachel reached out her hands and clung to Alice like a koala.
Alice carried Rachel upstairs.
As soon as she went upstairs, Alice noticed something was off in the room, but she didn’t have time to deal with it then and focused on putting Rachel into the cradle first.
In her beloved cradle, Rachel fell asleep immediately.
Once Rachel was asleep, Alice finally glanced around.
The drawn curtains, a brandy glass on the low cabinet, a man’s robe on the sofa, and a lingering smell of someone...
This...
Suddenly, a black phone on the bedside table caught her attention.
She walked over and saw that the phone belonged to him.
Her brows furrowed slightly, just as Aunt PA walked into the room.
"Miss."
"Hmm?" She snapped back to reality.
"Rachel’s asleep?"
"Yes."
Aunt PA noticed the phone in Alice’s hand and asked, "This is..."
Alice turned to look at Aunt PA, "Has brother been sleeping here these days?"
Aunt PA nodded, "I’m sorry, Miss, I couldn’t stop Mr. Robinson." Since Alice announced she would have nothing more to do with Chester, Aunt PA no longer addressed him with the familiarity she once did.
"I know."
Aunt PA continued, "That night Mr. Robinson came back and found that all his things were gone from his room, he went looking for you, but when he came to your room and found you weren’t there, he was very angry."
"Was he angry that I threw out his things?"
"I don’t know, but Mr. Robinson has been sleeping in your room since that night, and these past few nights too."
"Oh."
"Miss, Mr. Robinson’s phone was left here, what should we do?"
"I’ll call Assistant Antony later!"
"Alright."
To avoid waking Rachel, Alice walked to the window and dialed Keith Antony’s number.
"Miss Alice."
"Assistant Antony, have you all left France?"
"Not yet..."
Alice let out a sigh of relief, "That’s good, he left his phone here..."
"Left?"
"Yes, didn’t you guys just leave?"
Keith Antony replied awkwardly, "I’m sorry, Miss Alice, I made a mistake... The boss told me to call New York this morning to say he would be there tomorrow morning, so I thought he was planning to go to New York, but he just told me he’s planning to return to New York tomorrow."
Alice was momentarily stunned, then realized, "You’re saying he’s staying one more night in France?"
"Yes."
"But I’ve already moved back..."
"What?"
"Where are you guys now?"
"I’m parking, the boss has already gone upstairs."
"Upstairs?"
"Yes, the boss is back at the villa."
"What?"
Before Alice could react, she heard the doorknob turning.
Alice suddenly looked up, her gaze inadvertently meeting Chester, who was entering the room.
Alice was stunned, and her phone slipped from her hand.
Chester was also surprised to see Alice in the room, his gaze deepening as he spoke in a low tone, "Why, seeing me is like seeing a ghost?"
Alice shook her head, staying silent.
Noticing Rachel peacefully asleep in the cradle, Chester walked quietly to Alice.
Alice felt a bit tense, her face slightly pale, her hands clenched tightly.
Chester took Alice’s hand.
When his hand touched hers, she instinctively recoiled.
Chester frowned at her reaction.
Alice wanted to rush out of the room, but he caught her waist a second before she could escape.
With a swift turn, he held her within his embrace.
The familiar scent, the pleasant aroma, the domineering grip...
She stared at him in panic, "You... what do you want to do?"
He looked intently at her and suddenly raised her hand, taking the phone she was tightly clutching.
Alice was startled, realizing she had been nervously clutching his phone.
After putting the phone in his pocket, he didn’t immediately let her go, instead, he held her slim waist tighter, pulling her closer.
His body was a bit warm, his breath hot against her...
She felt his lips near her nose, thinking if she moved slightly, he would kiss her.
She dared not move an inch, looking up at him, "Let go."
He smirked slightly, as if enjoying her fierceness at the moment, not answering her or letting go.
"Let me go!" she didn’t raise her voice too much, not wanting to wake Rachel.
He suddenly lowered his head and pecked her lips, "Stay with me, hmm?"
"I don’t..."
Before Alice could finish speaking, he had already lowered his head and kissed her precisely.
She struggled intensely, her fingertips even digging into his skin, yet he continued to press firmly against her lips.
His invasion was thorough, lacking any gentleness, as if driven only by possession.
"Mmm..."
She pinched him hard, but realized it was all in vain.
Aunt PA and Keith Antony rushed in and were faced with a shocking scene.
Both stood frozen in place.
"Miss..."
"Boss..."
"Get out!!"
In that moment, he broke away from her lips and coldly ordered the stunned pair at the door, "Get out!"
Alice Robinson was panting heavily, her fists pounding on his chest.
Aunt PA wanted to step forward, but Keith Antony quickly pulled her out.
With a loud "bang," the door closed, and Alice Robinson’s angry hands were tightly grasped by him.
"What are you doing..." She struggled desperately.
But unexpectedly, he pressed her down onto the large bed behind them...
She had no time to resist; his body was already on top of hers, capturing her lips...
Staring blankly at the ceiling, Alice Robinson’s eyes were filled with tears.
She tightly gripped the sheets, her lips bitten until they turned purple.
Suddenly, she hugged the blanket and sat up.
However, at the moment she got up, her wrist was grabbed.
He wasn’t asleep; he opened his eyes and looked at her intently, "Where are you going?"
She said coldly, "Let go of me."
He sat up as well, holding her slender waist.
She tried hard to pull apart the hands encircling her waist but to no avail. She raised her hand and slapped him hard, "Bastard!!"
But his hand firmly gripped hers, comprehending her every action.
He held her restless hands tightly, his voice hoarse from exertion earlier, "Shall I carry you to take a shower?"
"I don’t want your hypocrisy."
She pushed him away forcefully, wrapped herself tightly in the blanket, and cried out in grievances.
"You’ll wake Rachel like this."
"None of your business!!"
"It’s not the first time. Why cry?"
She hugged her knees and cried even louder.
He felt somewhat irritated and turned her face towards him, "When we were doing it just now, weren’t you enjoying it?"
She was furious and embarrassed, using her fists to pound on him.
He let her vent, soothing her, "Alright, alright, it’s my fault..."
She hit him hard until her hands were tired, gradually stopped, and continued to sob.
He said, "Stop crying."
She still didn’t stop.
He brushed off his hair, "I said stop crying!!"
She finally raised her tear-filled eyes, looked at him painfully, and hoarsely asked, "What do you take me for?"
There was not a shred of guilt on his handsome face, "Adults who fulfill each other’s needs."
"You bastard!"
He put on a pair of pants, then pulled back the blanket, and got out of bed.
She held onto the blanket tightly, leaning against the headboard, watched him walk into the bathroom and punched the bed forcefully.
When he came out of the bathroom after showering, she was still dazed against the headboard.
He sat on the edge of the bed, placing a cup of water on the bedside table.
"Take the medicine," he said to her.
She ignored him, seeming not to hear his voice.
He opened the drawer, took out a white medicine bottle from the compartment inside, then poured out one pill.
Picked up the water and handed the pill to her, "Or do you want to give me another child?"
She heard this, immediately turned around, took the pill and the cup of water from his hand, and gulped it down.
The pill was quite bitter, making her frown.
He looked at her, smiling slightly, reaching out to caress her face.
But she moved her face away, unwilling to share even a bit of closeness with him.
His hand paused in mid-air, then dropped down, his smile untouched.
He whispered softly, "I suddenly changed my mind... perhaps we can consider maintaining this kind of relationship."
She blushed and glared at him fiercely, "Get lost."
He lightly pecked her lips as he got up, "I’ll be back very late tonight, no need to wait up."
Wait up?
Damn...
Alice Robinson grabbed a pillow and threw it hard at him, unfortunately hitting the closed door.
Alice Robinson came out from the bathroom after showering, just in time to see Rachel rubbing her eyes in the cradle.
Rachel had just woken up and, upon seeing Alice Robinson, sweetly called out, "Mommy."
Alice Robinson’s eyes were still red, but she showed not a hint of negative emotion in front of her daughter.
"Awake, sweetheart."
Rachel reached out and wrapped her arms around Alice Robinson’s neck.
Alice Robinson lifted Rachel out of the cradle, saying, "Are you hungry? Mommy will carry you downstairs for some food."
Rachel lazily leaned on Alice Robinson’s shoulder, asking, "Mommy... who were you talking to..."
"Huh?"
Rachel mumbled, "While I was sleeping, it seemed like I heard Mommy talking to someone..."
"What... what did you hear?"
"It’s... just Uncle’s voice."
"Impossible." Alice Robinson held Rachel tightly, "Your uncle isn’t here."
Rachel glanced around, indeed not seeing her uncle’s figure, and let out an "Oh."
