Chapter 1021: Chapter 525: Extra: Throwing Oneself Into His Arms 2

Over ten hours later, T City.

Just like every previous visit, Alice Robinson’s sudden arrival was met with the same reaction; the servants in Chester Robinson’s villa considered her an unwelcome guest, yet they dared not neglect her.

"Miss Alice, what brings you here?"

Alice shot a glance at the servant behind her, "Can’t I come?"

The servant instantly fell silent.

Alice said, "Put my luggage in the room on the second floor..."

"But Miss, Mr. Robinson is not here right now."

Alice sat down on the sofa in the hall, coldly replying, "Just because my brother isn’t here, I can’t wait for him to come back?"

The servant quickly lowered his head, said "yes", and dragged Alice’s simple luggage up to the second floor.

The lengthy flight had left Alice exhausted, and she leaned back into the sofa.

She glanced around the room in boredom, noticing the villa’s decor for the first time, realizing how elegant it was.

On all her previous visits, she had never paid attention to the decor, which made her curious as she asked, "Was this place designed by my brother himself?"

The servant standing nearby nodded, "Yes, Mr. Robinson designed it personally."

Alice’s eyes landed on the exquisite tassel crystal chandelier in the hall, and she asked, "Did he choose that chandelier too?"

"Yes."

"He has quite the taste." She too loved tassels, and was instantly drawn to the opulent crystal chandelier.

She often came in a rush and left in haste, never noticing how cozy the decor truly was.

"Does my brother frequently stay here?" Alice asked again.

The servant replied, "As long as he’s not busy with hospital matters, Mr. Robinson will stay here."

"He hasn’t brought any friends back, has he?"

"Indeed, very few; I remember Mr. Robinson only bringing one."

"Who?" Alice turned to look at the servant, "Male or female?"

"It was Miss Quentin."

"Rebecca Quentin?"

"Yes," the servant answered truthfully, "Once Mr. Robinson was very happy, it seemed like Mr. Robinson had won some award in the medical field, and he invited Miss Quentin over to the villa as a guest."

A hint of melancholy flashed through her eyes, and Alice asked quietly, "So my brother didn’t invite anyone else that night?"

"No, only Miss Quentin."

Alice lowered her head, "What... how did they celebrate that night?"

The servant replied, "Mr. Robinson seemed to really like that Miss Quentin, he drank red wine with her, they danced, and he talked to her a lot."

"They danced?"

"Yes... they danced right there, it was quite beautiful."

Alice looked at the spot the servant indicated, under the lavish crystal chandelier.

Spacious hall, elegant classical European decor, melodious music, beautiful crystal chandelier, handsome man and beautiful woman...

Imagining these in her mind was already a very graceful picture.

Her heart felt as if something had blocked it, causing Alice to fall silent.

Seeing Alice ask no more questions, the servant quietly retreated.

Alice’s mind was still filled with images of Chester Robinson and Rebecca Quentin gracefully dancing under the crystal chandelier...

She could imagine that he must have been confessing to Rebecca Quentin at the time.

The outcome now seemed clearly to be a rejected confession, but at that time, he must have hoped she’d accept.

She knew about the medical award—the Gairdner Foundation International Award, the world’s second-largest medical prize after the Nobel Prize.

He had always wanted to win this award, as he desired to achieve something in the medical field, and unexpectedly, he actually accomplished it...

Unfortunately, she only found out later; she had always wanted to congratulate him, but by then, he was lying in a hospital bed, unconscious.

Winning the award was such a joyous occasion, but he never shared it with her, only with the woman he loved most.

Rebecca Quentin was indeed very lucky and very happy; not only did she have Howard Geoffrey, the president of the Skytop Group adored by countless young women, as her husband, but also Skyler Jones and Chester Robinson quietly infatuated with her—she was so enviable.

Alice had been jealous, had envied, yet knew she could never compare to Rebecca Quentin.

Regardless of Howard Geoffrey or Chester Robinson, they had said that Rebecca Quentin’s kindness and innocence were unparalleled, and these traits were utterly absent in her, brought up in privilege.

Therefore, she was destined to lose to Rebecca Quentin in this lifetime.

Sighing, Alice stood up and walked to the second floor.

Night fell.

The car maintained a steady speed on the city’s roads.

Keith Antony sneaked a glance at his master sitting in the back seat, quietly asking, "Boss, should I take you home?"
