Chapter 1014: Chapter 521: Sisi, It Seems I Spoiled You in the Past 2_2
As Aunt PA was speaking, Alice Robinson pretended not to hear, focusing only on feeding Rachel.
Rachel was very adorable, holding a spoon, insisting on feeding herself, ending up with curry sauce all over her mouth...
Seeing Rachel’s cute demeanor, Alice Robinson suddenly forgot all her troubles.
Aunt PA suddenly asked again, "Miss, don’t you want to call Mr. Chester down for dinner?"
Alice Robinson gently wiped the corner of Rachel’s mouth and said blandly, "Whatever... But even if you call him, he won’t come down."
"How come?" Aunt PA questioned, and then headed to the second floor.
While feeding Rachel, Alice Robinson’s thoughts were already drifting far away.
How could he possibly come down to dine with them? Whether for her or Rachel, he was repulsed by them, and she wouldn’t hope for him to glance at Rachel even a few more times.
Not long after, Aunt PA indeed returned to the dining room dejectedly, puzzled and exclaimed, "It’s really strange, Mr. Chester used to never be so angry with you, Miss..."
Alice Robinson remained silent, but her heart inexplicably filled with discomfort.
In the evening, Alice Robinson sat by the cradle telling Rachel a story.
"Snow White came to a small cabin, gently opened the door, and saw inside a very large table with seven chairs, seven sets of tableware..."
When speaking this part, Alice Robinson sneakily glanced at the little sweetheart beside the cradle, finding the little one already asleep.
Alice Robinson smiled a bit, closed the book, bent down, and kissed Rachel’s innocent and cute face.
Tomorrow she would need to see the lawyer, and Alice Robinson decided to go to bed early.
Grabbing a set of pajamas from the wardrobe, Alice Robinson walked into the bathroom.
After showering, Alice Robinson was just about to go to bed when suddenly there was a soft knock on the door outside.
Alice Robinson, wearing pajamas, went to open the door and found a servant.
"Miss, Mr. Chester requests you to go to his room."
Alice Robinson frowned slightly, "Did he say what it’s about?"
The servant replied, "Mr. Chester just said he wants to talk to you."
What does he want to talk about?
Is he planning to help her?
No... he surely has an agenda.
But, what could he possibly want from her?
No matter what, she must figure out his purpose of returning this time; otherwise, she can’t feel at ease.
After thinking it over, Alice Robinson responded, "Tell him I’ll be over after changing clothes."
The servant nodded and withdrew.
Chester Robinson’s room used to be one of the places Alice Robinson was most familiar with in this house.
As a child, whenever she faced any issue she couldn’t solve alone and needed his help, she would linger in his room, pleading until he agreed. Back then, even though he didn’t care much for her, he would still eventually help her... Later, he grew very fond of her, almost always granting her requests. Subsequently, she learned he wasn’t her real brother, completely alteringing their relationship... But she never went into this room again thereafter, because he would always go to her room.
Taking a deep breath, Alice Robinson gently knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Chester Robinson’s clear and elegant voice came from inside the room.
Alice Robinson hesitated in front of the door for a few seconds, eventually pushing the door open and entering.
Chester Robinson comfortably lounged on the sofa in the room, legs crossed, having taken off his suit, with two buttons on his shirt undone, making him appear languid and full of allure.
Alice Robinson stood three meters away from Chester Robinson and spoke faintly, "Tell me, what exactly do you intend to do?"
Chester Robinson patted the seat beside him, "Come sit."
"No need, we can talk right here."
Chester Robinson’s narrow eyes squinted into a line, his lips curling with interest, "Afraid of me?"
Alice Robinson gave him a sideways glance, "What would I be afraid of you for."
"Then come sit over here."
"We can talk from here," she noticed with peripheral vision that his room hadn’t changed over the years, indicating he wasn’t fond of altering habits and suggesting he was sentimental.
Chester Robinson’s voice started carrying a thread of danger, "What if I insist you come over?"
"Then I’ll leave." With that, Alice Robinson turned around.
But as Alice Robinson turned, Chester Robinson’s unhurried voice came from behind her, "Don’t you want to resolve the current property dispute? I can make sure you won’t be troubled by it tomorrow."
Alice Robinson’s steps halted in place, gritting her teeth, she eventually turned back and walked towards him.
"Have a seat."
Alice Robinson just stood, making Chester Robinson repeat his command.
Alice Robinson sulkily sat down, yet maintained a distance from Chester Robinson.
At this moment, no one expected Chester Robinson to brace his hands on both sides of her, pressing her body towards the sofa armrest.
This kind of action was not unfamiliar to them...
Alice Robinson was startled, pressing her hands against his solid chest, "What do you intend to do?"
He caught her hands that were pressed against him, pinning them aside, his breath intimately close to hers, his lips carrying a hint of enticement, "After all this time, haven’t thought of revisiting old dreams?"
Alice Robinson showed no fear, staring straight at him, "Don’t you dislike me?"
Chester Robinson leaned down, at her neck, inhaling her post-bath fragrance, lazily murmured in her ear, "Men sometimes don’t need to like a woman; as long as she’s pretty with a good figure, it’ll suffice."
"Oh really?" Alice Robinson didn’t resist, just coolly laughed, "Or maybe she can be a stand-in for someone else!"
Chester Robinson’s hot breath touched her neck briefly, "You could also see me as a stand-in for a certain man; you know my capabilities exceed his."
"Asshole!"
Alice Robinson abruptly pushed Chester Robinson away, reaching over to slap him.
But, Chester Robinson knew her too well, having anticipated her move, he firmly grasped her slender wrist.
Alice Robinson struggled forcefully, yet he held tighter.
Until Alice Robinson was too pained to move, wrist slightly bruised, he calmly, without any trace of anger, spoke slowly, "Who allowed you to have the child? Huh?"
Alice Robinson, squeezed painfully, furrowed her brow tightly, lips turning slightly pale, "My affairs never needed others to concern themselves!!"
