Chapter 1011: Chapter 520: Extra Story: It Seems I Spoiled You in the Past 1
"Oh?"
Keith Antony replied, "Robinson and Rose Robinson have always coveted David Robinson’s estate. Now they’ve uncovered the bloodline issue with David Robinson, and are suing Alice Robinson recently, trying to claim David Robinson’s property."
Chester Robinson didn’t have much of a reaction, and said indifferently, "They really are bold."
"That’s because you’re not there." Keith Antony tentatively looked at Chester Robinson, "If you were in France, they wouldn’t dare to bully Miss Alice like this."
"How is she handling it?"
"Miss Alice hired a team of lawyers with a significant amount of money, but these lawyers aren’t very confident... The main issue is that the evidence Robinson has is hard to overturn."
"Hmm."
Chester Robinson only softly responded to Keith Antony with this single word and didn’t say more.
Seeing Chester Robinson’s lukewarm reaction, Keith Antony tried again, "Boss, this situation is very serious... If Robinson and the others really win, Miss Alice will have nothing left."
"I thought I’ve said, her matters have nothing to do with me." Chester Robinson said with almost cold indifference.
"But if Miss Alice really loses everything, then Rachel..." Keith Antony didn’t dare to continue, only secretly observing Chester Robinson’s expression.
Though Chester Robinson’s expression was cold and his eyes even carried a hint of hatred, the English name "Rachel" seemed to take away a bit of the coldness in his gaze.
The next moment, Chester Robinson stood up coldly, "You’ve ruined my mood." With that said, he stepped away from the balcony on his own accord.
Only after seeing Chester Robinson leave did Keith Antony finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Alice Robinson received a call from Keith Antony while she was playing with Rachel in the room.
At the sight of the incoming call from Keith Antony, Alice Robinson could hardly believe her eyes.
Letting go of Rachel so she could walk and play in the room on her own, Alice Robinson slowly pressed the answer button on her phone, and softly said, "Hello..."
"Miss Alice."
"Keith Antony."
"The boss will be in France tomorrow."
Alice Robinson widened her eyes, "He... he’s coming back?"
Keith Antony truthfully said, "I was the one who informed the boss of your recent situation."
Alice Robinson remained steeped in disbelief.
It’s been over half a year since she last saw him or had any contact. She never thought he’d suddenly come to France to find her.
She even thought they would never cross paths again in this lifetime.
"What’s he coming for?" She knew he surely wasn’t coming back to help her, it was something she never even considered.
"Of course, to help you..."
Alice Robinson calmly replied, "I don’t believe it."
"Maybe you could wait until the boss arrives to find out."
"Thank you, Keith Antony."
During these past six months apart from Chester Robinson, Keith Antony frequently called to show concern for her. She certainly knew this concern didn’t come from Chester Robinson, which is why she was always very grateful to Keith Antony.
"No need to thank me. I just hope to do something for you and the boss."
After ending the call, Alice Robinson was lost in thought for a moment.
Seeing Rachel wobble her way to the door, Alice Robinson ran over to pick Rachel up, "Hey, there’s a staircase outside, hasn’t mommy told you that you can’t go here alone?"
Rachel was dressed in a pink frock, clinging onto a teddy bear, looking absolutely adorable. Her little fingers like green scallions pointed at the stairs, "Down... down... mommy..."
She wanted Alice Robinson to carry her downstairs to play.
Alice Robinson smiled and planted a kiss on her daughter, "Okay, mommy will carry you downstairs to play."
After bringing her daughter downstairs, Alice Robinson played with her daughter in the living room.
Rachel dragged her teddy bear across the living room, wobbling, which made Alice Robinson laugh.
Finally, Rachel grew tired and dropped her teddy bear, coming over to Alice Robinson and hugging her leg, "Mommy..."
Aware of her daughter’s need for a hug, Alice Robinson smiled and picked her daughter up to sit on her lap.
Her daughter toyed with the fabric at Alice Robinson’s chest, giggling with delight. Alice Robinson gazed at her daughter’s features, which resembled a certain someone, feeling a sudden pang in her heart.
Abruptly, Alice Robinson stood Rachel on the sofa and softly said, "Rachel, someone is coming to the house tomorrow, do you know who it is?"
Rachel sweetly watched her mom, her long eyelashes fluttering.
"It’s your daddy, but you can’t call him daddy, you can only call him uncle..."
Hearing what Alice Robinson said, the confused Rachel only widened her beautiful eyes, her expression innocent and uncomprehending.
Alice Robinson continued, "Mommy will only mention this once, after this mommy won’t talk about the word ’daddy’ again... My dear, when you grow up, don’t ever ask mommy about this matter, since mommy has already answered you, understand?"
Rachel looked at Alice Robinson with her bewildered eyes, not understanding the meaning, yet obediently nodded her head.
