Chapter 914: Bickering Bulky Men [Free Bonus Chapter]

Asher was surprised for a moment as his mind immediately drifted back to the moment Arianna had said their fathers were best friends. Of course, he had been doubtful at the time, as he didn’t see Azaron as the type of man who had friends.

But now, seeing it for himself, he understood Arianna hadn’t been lying. There was no way Azaron would introduce someone as a nutjob right in front of everyone. That sounded like something only the closest of friends would say to each other.

Hearing Azazel talk about his daughter’s face being smashed against a wall, Asher could only smile helplessly as he replied, "My apologies, sir. That only happened in the heat of the moment. I will try not to let that happen next time," his tone apologetic and helpless, as though the situation during the battle had been beyond his control.

And indeed, it hadn’t been in his control, as almost every decision made in the heat of battle was executed subconsciously. Also, Asher made sure not to promise anything. After all, his hands were gender-neutral, and he wouldn’t hold back against Arianna even if they fought again.

"Hoo!!!! Your son thinks he can play old men like us with words," Azazel replied as he stared at him.

Azaron, who had been silent until then, finally spoke. "Okay, that’s enough. Stop scanning and analyzing my son with your senses."

Asher arched an eyebrow, as he hadn’t felt anything the entire time. If Azaron hadn’t said anything, he would never have known.

"I just wanted to know how monstrous someone has to be to defeat my daughter," Azazel replied as he withdrew his senses.

Asher and Malrik simply remained silent and watched Azaron and Azazel go back and forth.

"And also, because your son smashed my daughter’s face against a wall, the bride price has increased by two times," Azazel stated.

"In your dreams. If the Elox Family Head hadn’t decided to be so generous, you and your daughter would be living on the streets," Azaron replied, as he wasn’t about to open his vault for this guy. "Besides, the youngest needs to become the Primarch before he can even get married. If not, he can only date your daughter until they both die of old age," Azaron continued.

Azazel smirked and replied, "Why should the strong care about family rules and ancient traditions? Even if Malrik ends up becoming the Primarch, if Asher and Arianna are the two strongest beings on the planet, who dares tell them whether they can get married and have children or not?" Azazel countered sharply.

Asher could barely believe or understand what was going on before his very eyes. Seeing Azaron go back and forth with another person was truly a new sight for him. Imagine walking down the road and seeing two bulky men who were both over eight feet tall bickering back and forth.

"Are they always like this?" Asher whispered to Malrik, who was standing beside him.

"Sigh... I’ve been sitting with them for the past few days. They’re always like this," Malrik whispered back, as though Azazel and Azaron weren’t standing right in front of them and couldn’t hear every single word.

Asher nodded and said nothing else, but his mind couldn’t help but wonder how Azazel and Azaron were already shipping him with Arianna. He had only just gotten over the hurdle of letting go of the love he had for Jennifer due to the reality of his situation. There was no way he was diving headfirst into another relationship.

He couldn’t help but wonder how those two had even started this discussion in the first place. Didn’t they have other manly things to talk about?

The most maddening part to him was the fact that they were discussing bride price, marriage, and children.

Azaron turned his head toward Asher as he spoke, "Like I said, he’s a nutjob. Don’t listen to anything he says."

’More like I’m not listening to either of you,’ Asher thought to himself, not daring to say such words out loud.

"Anyway, since you’ve made us proud this time, name what you want, and I will go to the ends of the world to get it," Azaron said, his eyes fixed on Asher.

Hearing Azaron’s words, Asher remained silent for a moment. Personally, he hardly needed anything, as he lacked nothing. But the moment that thought crossed his mind, he remembered something he still lacked.

"I would ask for the same thing I requested after my True Awakening," Asher replied, his tone calm.

After his True Awakening, Azaron had offered him a reward. At the time, Asher had asked for the blood of an End-class Monster. However, Azaron had said that was impossible due to the calamities that followed whenever one of those beings decided to make a move.

Because of that, Azaron had given him Myth-class blood, which he had used to heal during his battle with Arianna and even during his battle with Debro.

Even with the immense potency and vitality contained within Myth-class blood, it had still taken him a full five minutes to heal the damage Arianna had inflicted upon him. In a real battle, he would have died, and he knew he needed the blood of a higher being to close that gap and avoid being at the mercy of others the next time.

Besides, Asher had already come to another conclusion. The healing had taken five minutes not because Myth-class blood was weak, but because his own physique and vitality were simply too powerful and immense for someone at his current Life Rank.

If someone else at the Dust Firmstar Life Rank possessed the Crimson Pact ability alongside Myth-class blood, they would have been healed almost instantly, unlike him.

Besides that, at the moment, he barely had any Myth-class blood left after his battle with Arianna.

And with Azaron telling him that he would go to the ends of the world to make it happen, Asher couldn’t help but wonder whether the man would disregard his own previous advice and actually go for it.

"No problem," Azaron immediately agreed, a small smile appearing on his lips as he was already looking forward to battling an End-class Monster.

Although he had warned Asher about the calamities that came with confronting one, Azaron knew that End-class Monsters existed in desolate places that weren’t even close to the Zarethorne Empire. There, he would fight one and erase everything within one or two million kilometers if necessary.

Besides... ’The Maddening’ organization and the Sinvaira organization might catch wind of his location and decide to attack, making things even more perfect for him.

The more enemies, the merrier.

"But, due to the uniqueness of our current situation, you will have to make do with Void-class blood for now until we return to the Zarethorne Empire," Azaron added.

He didn’t plan to hunt a Void-class Monster. He would simply request it from the Overlord. After all, as a technologically advanced Empire, they conducted more experiments than anyone else, so they would naturally possess huge quantities of blood.

"Thank you, Father," Asher replied, happy that he would be obtaining both Void-class and End-class blood. How could he not be happy?

Azaron smiled as he spoke, "You can return now. The barrels will be sent to your room."

Asher nodded before glancing at Malrik, who simply touched his shoulder. Instantly, Asher vanished from where he was standing and reappeared back in the tunnel, while Malrik remained within the Luxury Viewing Box.

"I will be back," Azaron said to Malrik and Azazel before vanishing as he teleported to the Overlord’s location.

There was no need to waste time. He immediately went about his business, knowing just how important the blood was to Asher.
