Chapter 97: What Now?

His grip on her legs as he pulled them down was gentler than she had expected. She was used to the pain and had braced for it as he marched toward her with such intense anger in his gaze.

However, as he touched her, it felt like there was a plea in his touch. She never intended to put up a fight, but there was no way she could even think of doing so now.

He parted her legs easily, and his weight as he rested on her was strangely comfortable. But it was the look in his eyes that she found even stranger. He was staring at her with a look she didn’t recognize.

"Alpha Keenan?" She softly asked, forgetting her terror and worries.

She had to stop herself from cupping his face. Each time, she was reminded he really was the most important. Seeing a side of him she usually wouldn’t have made her so hopeful.

He didn’t respond; rather, he kissed her neck, and she couldn’t help but react to the sensation. She could tell exactly what was about to happen, and she had no plans to stop him.

His scent flooded her nostrils, and she wanted to touch him as he had touched her the night before, but Maya didn’t think she was allowed. Even as he lay on her, it felt like he would rather not.

She was greedy, wasn’t she? This was the closest they had ever come, and she wanted more. She wanted to burrow right into his heart.

However, it was not a space she deserved, so she would take the part he was willing to give her. So, she satisfied herself with just lightly placing her hands on him as he kissed her neck.

He groaned against her as she touched him. His kisses were getting desperate, and she could feel his lips quiver against her neck.

His mouth opened wider as if to bite her neck, but he stopped himself, and his hand moved upward to cup one of her breasts. Maya moaned as she clasped him tighter.

He swore, grinding himself against her. His scent felt stronger, and Maya couldn’t get enough of his scent. She wanted to bury her head in his neck, too; she wanted to grab his hair. But most importantly, she wanted a kiss.

She bit her lower lip. It didn’t happen last night when he was less aware; she didn’t expect a kiss now, but it didn’t stop her from being hopeful.

His palm around her breast tightened, but it didn’t seem nearly enough for him. His hand sought downward, tracing her skin until he reached the end of her nightdress that had gathered around her hips.

He pulled it down, exposing her further, and her legs spread even more. Maya tried to stop herself from squirming; the chaise lounge was a tight fit, but it was hard to stay still when her body could already anticipate what was coming.

Wasn’t she shameless? She could hardly wait for him to touch her. She wanted to hide her face at her lust, but then his warm fingers grazed her, and she forgot about decency.

"Alpha Keenan," she cried as he slipped a finger right in. He didn’t even give her a chance to prepare herself.

She heard him curse, and he lightly pulled away from her, lifting his groin off her as he ripped at his pants. When she felt his weight again, he was pushing at her wet entrance.

She wrapped her arms around his back, underneath his arms, and buried her face in the crook of his neck. His arms locked her in on the chaise lounge as he thrust into her.

Maya buried her face deeper into his neck as the chair rocked. She bit into his shoulder through the fabric to keep from shouting out. She didn’t have a wolf; there was no worry of her marking him. She wondered if it had crossed his mind...

"Ah, Alpha Keenan," she cried, pulling her mouth away from his shoulder.

He was thrusting even harder and hitting a sensitive spot. She dug her fingers deeper into his back and tried to clamp her mouth shut, but her body was not listening to her.

She bit into his shoulder again, and Keenan seemed to get more agitated. She could hardly keep up. Every part of her felt sensation as he thrust in and out of her.

Maya was conscious of how tight the space was, and perhaps because of that, she could barely contain herself. He kept rubbing against her walls. She could feel every movement.

Water pooled in her eyes as a sensation similar to last night’s but slightly different started to fill her. Using his shoulder to stop her from crying out had long stopped working, and she had lost count of how many times she had called his name.

She was meeting his thrusts; she hadn’t realized when she had started to move, and Keenan’s grunts in her ears made her feel less lewd and less alone. He wanted this as much as she did.

"Maya."

It was only a gasp; she might have even misheard. But as soon as he said her name, she came apart. She was gasping for air as she clung to him, but the sensation didn’t stop, and neither did Keenan. She bit into him to keep from crying out even more.

Eventually, he stopped moving and fell onto her, and like before, he was careful not to put his whole weight on her.

Maya stared at the ceiling with her eyes wide open as the smell of their intertwined scents floated in the air. His scent clung to her, and she couldn’t help but notice they were still fully clothed. She had bitten him through his clothes. Just how out of it was she?

Keenan didn’t stir as he lay on top of her, and she was too scared to move. She couldn’t dare breathe. It would ruin it.

Oh, dear Moon Goddess. What is to happen now?
