Chapter 181: The Wedding Night
When Rowan looked up at her, he noticed a shift in her expression, likely because it was their first night together as husband and wife, and with a small exhale he tried to ease the tension between them as he said, "Seeing you this nervous is almost making me nervous too"
He rose to his feet and gently helped her unclasp her necklace, removed her earrings and the pins in her hair, taking his time with careful hands as though afraid to startle her, before adding softly, "I know you must be tired... you should rest."
Rosalind’s gaze lifted to meet his...
She had prepared herself for this moment more than she could admit, and even though her nerves lingered, she was not tired in the least as she shook her head slightly and let him know, "I’m not tired."
He paused at that, then slowly sat beside her on the bed. His gaze was steady on hers as the air between them grew heavier with awareness, until she gathered courage and asked, "So... can we start our duties now?" her cheeks flushing deeply the moment the words left her lips.
Rowan stared at her for a moment before a faint smile appeared on his lips.
Rosalind looked both determined and endearing in a way that made it impossible for him to refuse her... especially when she looked at him like that, or even when she simply looked at him at all.
Slowly, he fingers brushed along the side of her face, "Yes, wife" He answered.
Rosalind’s cheeks were as red as tomato but she did not pull away, so he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.
The kiss started gently, almost testing, before deepening as his lips parted against hers and he drew her bottom lip softly between his, sending a quiet flutter through her stomach as though it were their first time kissing all over again.
Rosalind responded instinctively, parting her lips for him as his tongue slid in slowly, exploring her mouth with unhurried intent while she melted into him.
Her hands found his shoulders and she clung to him, fingers pressing lightly into the fabric as his arms moved around her waist and traced slow, grounding lines along her spine, each touch sending a shiver through her body.
His tongue teased hers just as they shifted together and fell onto the bed with Rowan towering above her.
Her breath caught as he broke the kiss only to trail his lips along her jaw and down the side of her neck, leaving slow, lingering kisses.
Her fingers tangled in his hair, gripping gently while her body reacted to every movement, her toes curling against the bed beneath her.
When Rowan pulled back, his breathing heavier, he reached for his shirt and began unbuttoning it slowly, never breaking eye contact for long.
He let it fall away before pulling her back into another kiss and Rosalind’s fingers moved across his bare chest and arms, feeling the strength beneath her fingertips while he worked at the laces of her gown.
Once the ties were undone, the fabric slid down her body, revealing flushed skin that immediately met the cool night air, though the chill did not linger for long as the warmth of his tongue trailed across her body. His hands explored her body slowly, from her thighs to her waist and then to her breasts while Rosalind’s breath began to tremble.
Rosalind arched beneath him as his tongue teased and sucked on her hardened nipple, her moans spilling out in soft sounds she could not control.
Her body responded to every kiss and every movement, until her thoughts blurred and all that remained was him, and the way he made her feel seen, wanted, and undone all at once.
Rowan held her waist firmly, grounding her as his lips traveled lower... to the place where she ached the most and her voice broke as she called his name, "Rowan..." He flicked his tongue over the spot, circling around it and pressing deeper.
Sensation overwhelmed her senses as her fingers tightened in his hair while she trembled beneath him.
Every tease of his tongue pulled her further into him until she could no longer think of anything else.
"Oh..." Her body betrayed her completely, responding to him as his pace increased with urgency.
Rosalind’s vision was hazy, her breath turning uneven as her thighs shook around him. Her head fell back just as she tried to regain control of her breathing.
Rowan stayed focused on the wetness slipping out of her, lapping them all, his own restraint slipping as the night deepened between them.
Eventually, with one swift motion, he released his trousers, letting them fall away as she watched him with parted lips and a rising chest. The anticipation between them became almost unbearable as he inched closer and kissed her lips, their bare skin meeting fully now and her legs instinctively wrapped around him.
Rowan let out a low curse against her lips, feeling her bare body under his... his voice was rough with restraint as he confessed, "I want you so much, Rosalind,"
The words slipped out against her ear and sent another wave of heat through her. Rosalind swallowed, breathless but certain as she looked up at him and answered softly, "I’m ready..." before adding more firmly,
"I want you now."
"That’s all I needed to know," he murmured, his voice steady but heavy with emotion as he positioned himself carefully, guiding himself against her with deliberate slowness, teasing her, making her hips shift instinctively as anticipation built between them.
Then, finally, he eased into her, and Rosalind’s breath hitched sharply at the sensation as her hands gripped him tighter, her body tightening around him in response while Rowan paused only briefly before moving slowly, allowing her to adjust as his gaze never left her face.
Every expression that crossed her features mattered to him, every small sound, every shift in her breathing until her gaze met his and her lips parted as he began to move with steady control, drawing a broken cry from her as the intensity finally overtook her voice. "Ah... Rowan..." she gasped.
"You’re doing fine, Rosalind" he said softly, kissing her and grounding her in the moment as he eased her back into the rhythm between them.
Rosalind nodded shakily, her fingers digging into his back, her breath unsteady as Rowan thrust with a steady pace, each motion drawing soft reactions from her while her legs held onto him tighter, unable to let go.
Their lips met again as though neither of them could stay apart for even a second, and the kiss deepened with the movement between them, growing heavier with every passing moment as they lost themselves in it completely.
Rowan’s pace gradually strengthened, each movement more harder than the last, and Rosalind’s voice broke softly as she clung to him, "Ahh..." her body arched instinctively as emotion and sensation tangled together in a way she couldn’t fully control.
Rowan groaned, his breath heavier with each thrusts and every reaction from her seemed to pull him in even more, as though nothing else in the world existed outside of her.
Rosalind’s grip tightened around him as her breath turned uneven, her legs shaking around him due to the intensity building between them until she could barely think beyond the moment itself.
****
Rosalind couldn’t count how many times he had brought her to that peak that night, and even though she had no complaints, she found herself wanting every moment of their wedding night to last a little longer, as if time itself might slip away from them too soon.
Rowan wrapped his arm around her from behind as his leg gently parted hers, and her hips arched instinctively against him when she felt him inside her again, soft moans escaped her lips as she realized he was even deeper this time. His breathing grew heavier against her skin while his hands roamed over her body, and he moved slowly at first, as though carefully building every moment between them so it wouldn’t end too quickly.
Rosalind breathed just as heavily, sweat clinging softly to her skin, but the warmth surrounding them blurred her senses until nothing else mattered except him. His hands explored her again as he whispered reassurance into her ear, guiding her back into him, and she trembled as another cry left her lips, "Ahh..." while he kissed her from behind, his lips and tongue kissing along her ear and other sensitive places she hadn’t even realized before, and gradually his movements became faster.
"Oh... God," Rosalind whispered helplessly as she bit her lip, her mind completely overwhelmed while he carried her once again toward that height, her body tightening around him as she clung to him without restraint, urging him closer with every breath she took.
"Rowan... ahh..." she cried out as her body shook against him, and with one final deep thrust, everything inside her seemed to break and release all at once, leaving her completely spent and breathless in his arms.
Rowan immediately slowed, holding her carefully as he pulled her close, and kissed her softly before murmuring, "I’m so proud of you, wife," as he settled her against his chest.
Rosalind exhaled shakily, her breathing uneven and her body heavy with exhaustion, yet strangely warm in a way she had never felt before. Even though she didn’t want the moment to end, sleep was already pulling at her, and she let herself relax fully against him.
"I love you, Rowan," she whispered faintly, her voice soft as her eyes began to close.
Rowan brushed her hair gently away from her face, his fingers lingering in a slow, comforting touch before he replied, "I love you too, Rosalind,"
Her breathing gradually steadied as the warmth of his arms held her close, and despite wanting to stay awake a little longer, her eyelids grew heavy. The last thing she felt was his hand in her hair and his voice near her ear before sleep finally pulled her under.
