Chapter 566: Sisterly Love

"What the hell was that for?" Dalia yelled at Amira, rubbing her cheek.

"For being an idiot. I can’t believe you would just disappear like that," Amira screamed back, obviously angry.

SLAP!

This time, Dalia hit her sister hard in the face.

"You bitch!"

"You deserve it. I did this for you you fucking whore!" Dalia screamed back while her eyes shot daggers.

Before Laz could even step in, Dalia and Amira were fighting rolling around on the floor.

"Wow... This is... kinda hot actually," Brittany said, walking over to the mini bar and pulling out a bottle.

Laz had mixed feelings about it, but went and sat next to Brittany who poured him a drink as they sat back and watched.

It wasn’t a cat fight, as that would be completely out of character for two Awakens who’s strength relied on their bodies. Instead of slapping, biting and hair pulling, there were punches, kicks and palms. Both sisters were around the same level of strength, at the opening stage of the foundation realm. So while their bodies were tougher than the average person, their strength was still developing. In this sense, Laz was kind of interested in seeing if two awakened who shared the same bloodline would awaken a blood that was the same as one another, or if a different bloodline would show itself in each of them... assuming they had the same father and mother. While Amira had said they were sisters, that didn’t always mean with both of the same biological parents.

"So who’s your money on?" Brittany asked, watching with far more interest than Laz. In fact, every time some clothing got ripped as a result of the fight, her eyes lit up.

"You seriously want to bet on this?" Laz asked, leaning back a little more since they didn’t seem to be finishing soon.

"Yep. My bet is on Amira, mostly because thanks to you, I know she can take a pounding," Brittany said, almost making Laz spit out his drink.

"I worry about you, you should know," Laz said, taking a few breaths.

"So your answer?" Brittany replied with a laugh as a rather nice, carved end table was blasted to pieces by Dalia’s body flying into it, before Amira came over close and tried to follow up with a knee to the face,

"Dalia will win, if you must know," Laz finally replied with a sigh.

"Oh? You seem sure? Why is that?" she asked while raising her eyebrows.

"Because she has been training with instructions here at this temple. While Amira has been awakened longer, she hasn’t yet fully embraced her strength or had someone to guide her. Add to that the stigma that is attached to awakened in the outside world and what you have is someone who was never fully able to experience her own power. As for Dalia, despite how she went about it, she has been fully able to grasp her own strength here while getting in fights with people in her own realm, be it chosen or awakened. On top of that, neither of them are going fully all out to kill one another cause despite their anger at each other, they are still sisters," Laz analyzed for Brittany.

Just then, Amira grabbed Dalia’s hair and tossed her, her body slamming into a sofa and flipping it over.

"Alright. Bet then." Brittany said, reaching out her hand.

Laz looked down briefly and shook it, agreeing with the deal.

"Alright. I’m done fucking around," Dalia exclaimed, getting back up on to her feet from behind the fallen sofa. Her dressed was ripped thanks to catching on a portion of the couch, one side having been completely removed from her shoulder to the point where one of her perky breasts had almost fallen completely out. As for Amira, her shirt had been ripped in half down the middle, revealing her black bra after she just barely shot back out of reach of Dalia’s claw strike earlier.

Dalia raced forward, as though going in for a direct strike, but then ducked Amira’s punch and came up underneath her. Curling up, she lashed out, striking Amira full in the stomach and sending her straight into the ceiling with a loud whomp before she crashed straight into the ground with a hard thud. Just as Dalia was about to grab her hair and strike her face, Roma had walked back in with several plates of food.

"What the hell?" Roma asked, shocked.

Dalia, despite not having a single hesitation about getting into a fist fight with her sister, bowed away slightly, the effects of the order of the temple showing immediately.

"I’m sorry..." she said, apologizing for her actions of destroying the room.

Amira got on to her hands and knees and spit, a bit of blood mixed in with the saliva.

"Why the fuck are you apologizing to her?" Amira asked, not knowing who Roma was.

Dalia was going to say something but Roma had turned her attention to Laz who was sitting close to Brittany on the couch, Brittany’s leg having somehow draped itself over Laz’s during the fight.

"Sister’s should solve their own problems, right?" Laz asked, emptying his cup.

"Sister’s huh? Well... that makes sense I guess," Roma said with a sigh, setting the food down on a non damaged table.

After Dalia and Amira had calmed themselves down enough to sit, all be it as far away from one another as they could, things had grown quiet in the room. Brittany, Roma, Amira and Dalia weren’t speaking, but Laz didn’t mind. He didn’t know where Roma had gotten the food from, but it was quite good so he didn’t bother with the girls and just ate to his heart’s content.

"Ahh..." Laz finally said, leaning back. The girls were looking at him with a strange look on their faces.

"What?"

"I just... I don’t get it. Who are you exactly? I have only personally met our god three times, but I was almost too scared to move. Besides the priests who see them all the time, most people aren’t even able to form a complete sentence in front of them, but not only do you seem fine, but you also seem totally indifferent to it?" Roma asked Laz, getting the attention of the others.

"I have come across several gods in the past few years, some sleeping, some just having awoken and one who was stuck in a pocket dimension for several thousands of years just to regrow their strength after dying once. While your god is... strong? I’ve seen stronger. Hell... I even... uh... well... yeah. Nevermind," Laz finally said, deciding it was better not to mention having slept with Maia.

"I guess that makes sense. Considering that master of yours... I.. oh... uh..." Roma started to say, but found herself unable to speak.

"Yeah. I’m getting the impression she doesn’t like being spoken about, so you’ll have to forgive me for not discussing her," Laz apologized.

"Yeah. I can’t even remember what she looked like," Dalia said, speaking up for the first time.

"You have a master?" Brittany and Amira asked, obviously hearing this information for the first time.

"Yeah. Hard to explain so don’t ask," Laz responded, brushing it off.

While Amira excepted this, Brittany seemed to be thinking of things from a different angle.

’He met this lust god and not only did he get away completely unharmed, but we were also let off the hook. Not only that, but this woman who has personally met the god before seems to be... afraid of his master. If that’s the case... that can only mean that his master is stronger than her god... Is that even possible?’ Her mind was working while Roma was thinking about something else.

’They want me to form a good relationship with this boy, even more so now than when they tried to recruit him into the temple. But how the hell am I suppose to do that?"

:How do you think? Seduce him if that’s what it takes. Bring in more girls or guys if he wishes it. But either way, if you succeed, I will reward you greatly for this: the voice in her head said as she was thinking things over, the voice belonging to her god.

Roma was so startled she almost yelled out in surprised.

None of the others caught the change in her, but Laz could tell something had happened and considering Roma’s identity was now revealed to be a level four chosen, he knew she didn’t have a low ranking at this temple.

"Anyway. As for you two, we came here at Amira’s request to rescue her sister and find out what’s going on. So you two need to get that out of the way. As for you Mistress Chrome, I was also asked to come check this place out since it seemed like some teams who are associated with me went missing while checking this place out," Laz said, finally getting to the point.

"The teams were with you?" Roma said, a glint of understanding coming into her eyes.

"Yes. Not only that, but your temple seemed to want to mess with my people which is not something I take lightly to," Laz added on, remembering the incident on the rooftop.

"Ah. I am truly sorry about that. Our high priest had contacted me which I was preparing the food after hearing about everything and I understand your anger. While we value our disciples deeply, I believe you’ve heard about our system from young Dalia here, correct?" Roma asked.

"Why do you think this place is still standing?" Laz shot back, a hint of annoyance in his voice for her not getting to the point.

"Right. Well, sometimes the new members get a little over zealous with their lust needs and try things that go against the rules of the temple. Even if you hadn’t stepped in, the two red robe priests who ended up being there wouldn’t have allowed the people to be kidnapped. They had only just arrived when the commotion started and ended up taking Rick’s side, if only because he had joined the temple. While their decision wasn’t right, it was one that was hastily made and I am sorry for any inconvenience it caused you," Roma said, getting up and bowing low on the floor, as though trying to prove her sincerity.

"Alright, let’s say I believe that. Where might our teams be then? Did you kill them?" Laz asked, getting the feeling that Roma wasn’t lying.

"No. They are currently being detained in the prison ward in the basement and while I would like to apologize for that as well, you must understand our situation. When strange people begin sniffing around your base... well... you can’t just let them go with a stern warning, correct?" Roma said, hoping to explain.

"As long as they are alive and can be released to me, I shall understand and accept your apology," Laz replied back, allowing Roma a sigh of relief.

"Then my final question can now be addressed."

"Which is? Obviously I will do anything in my power to help or assist you in any way," Roma asked, delivering a line so cheesy, it took Laz everything he had no to cringe.

"What was the giant dragon like entity we saw in the sky above the temple?" Laz asked, wondering what the answer to this question would end up being.

Contraire to Laz’s thoughts, Roma froze up and dropped the spoon in her hand.

"What... what? What did you see????" Roma asked, her face going from elegant to crazy in almost no time flat as she rushed Laz.
