Chapter 526: Should Have Expected This

Laz had fought gods and monsters from other worlds and other dimensions. He even stood his ground while having an entire army pointed his way, as such, a battle of this level was considered very low level for him. Even for the rest of the girls he was with, which one of them hadn’t had their fill of violence and blood over the years.

Still though, Laz looked on in with great attention as they started. While their steps were firm and their moves polished, it was clear that both were holding back their strength, not willing to fully commit to hurting the other has they had been very close the past few days.

Even War and Leona couldn’t help but frown when they noticed this problem. They hadn’t thought about it being a problem as when they fought or taught the others, they were always able to go all out while letting their opponent go all out since their skills allowed them to keep it under control.

Laz got up and walked out to both of them, stopping the fight that wasn’t really a fight.

"Alright. Time to do something different," he said, waving over War to stand next to him and Leona.

Both girls noticed the displeasure on their faces, but didn’t know how to address it.

"It’s no one’s fault and I should have made things more clear," Laz said, stepping forward before anyone could stop him and sending a punch with both hands towards the girls stomachs.

Unable to even respond, the girls flew away and smacked hard into the opposite wall, implanting themselves before sliding down it.

The other girls were shocked, not knowing what had happened and confused on what they should be feeling.

"If you wish to remain here, you need to be willing to go all out, even against your own sisters. You need to truly trust one another and trust us, those watching and training you. NOW GET UP!" Laz roared shocking everyone.

They were going to turn and yell at Laz when they noticed two figures rise at the same time. One had a light blue and purple aura about her that would remind one of of a azure sea at sunset while the other had a dark purple and black aura, wiggling like a snake and yet strangely seductive.

Strangely, neither of the girls were injured in the slightest. If anything, they were just as surprised as the ones who were left staring in awe.

Of course that didn’t matter.

All of the girls turned on Laz at once and glared at him, as though wanting to take a bite out of him.

While Laz was somewhat prideful and strong, there was one thing he knew he couldn’t deal with... an angry woman. So having a group of angry women directing their anger at him while also being his lovers... Laz looked to the door quickly and was deciding on whether he should bolt or not when War and Leona came up beside him. Strangely enough, they were smiling as they grabbed both of his arms and held him tight.

"You know I could just break out of this, right?" Laz said to the two amused women.

"We know. But we also know you won’t," Leona said with a laugh.

"And you’re not mad?" Laz asked.

"Nope. Compared to how we would train them, they would actually get hurt. But you didn’t do that, even if you did surprise everyone. We don’t like doing it, but...." War started.

"A little pain now can prevent a lot of pain later," Leona finished. "You taught me that."

"Ah," Laz said, understanding.

Laz then ended up getting beaten up by his ladies, one after another. They all avoided his private parts, but that was about it, even choosing to hit his face.

"I should have expected this," Laz said, knowing that no women would could be with him would be weak.

But Laz didn’t flinch once or falter in the slightest.

At the end, it was Kennedy who called everyone off, not that anyone was directing any attacks at him anymore. Laz was a pure fighter, hand to hand and all that. In the end, the only thing that happened was the girls ended up hurting their hands, feet, knees and in Malene’s case, her teeth.

"How the hell are you that hard?" Malene asked, rubbing her sore jaw.

"I refuse to answer that question," Laz said with a smirk.

Laz wasn’t sure how to feel, considering Leona and War had let go of his arms at one point and even took turns beating him up. While they were in better shape than the others, it was only because their style of fighting was similar to his.

When he looked at each of them though, Laz didn’t feel upset. Instead, he saw within their eyes something new and profound.

Respect.

Perhaps some would think that a woman beating her man was a crime... same as if a man beat a woman. But these weren’t normal people and this was far from a normal relationship.

Had Laz flinched or fought back, they wouldn’t have cared, but the end result wouldn’t have been as impressive. Sometimes a partner needs a shoulder to cry on, but these weren’t the type of girls who cried easily. Sometimes they need an understanding ear, but they were stable and smart, preferring to work through their own issues and consulting each other when they ran out of ideas.

What they wanted and needed from Laz was something else, something more primal and simple than that. They didn’t need a man, they needed more.

And that person was one who could take their anger, their pain, their hardship, their rage and despite all of that, remain strong.

So when they looked at the still smiling face, the one showing care and concern for each one of them, they understood that he was exactly what they wanted and needed.

"Are we good then?" Laz asked, looking at each one of them in turn.

They simply nodded their heads, unable to express their words.

"Ah. Good. Sheesh.... if looks could kill I wouldn’t have made it through that," Laz said, slumping down onto the floor as though he had suddenly become weak, getting a laugh from everyone.

"Alright. Enough. Now that we all know you two are quite protected, you can go all out," War said, pointing to Lyssa and Jill.

"But that’s just this time. When you get better in the future, blood will flow. So don’t get too used to this and instead, focusing on learning how to control yourselves better," Leona commanded, getting a nod from both girls.

They stood up and faced each other now, even taking out weapons. Jill had two short swords that she held blades facing down while Lyssa had a strange circle like thing that was half the size of her body.

The blades Jill had were forged from the elves and were old, but well cared for. The blades were black with runes etched on the sides of them, glistening with the purplish black of her aura.

As for Lyssa, her circle like this also had runes along the edge, displaying the azure and purple radiance.

When they started fighting, Jill tried to get in close, jumping straight at her but Lyssa was ready as the wheel like thing spin around her, blocking the blades. It then turned sideways so that the center of it was facing her and Lyssa screamed into it, like a banshee of old, causing soundwaves to come rolling out of the ring and crash into Jill’s body which rippled like water before disappearing.

Jill then appeared behind Lyssa and struck again, forcing Lyssa to roll to the side to dodge. Just as she was standing up, Jill was there, ready to strike her with a downward stab.

Lyssa suddenly vanished into the floor and popped out again behind Jill, the ring slicing for her head.

Under everyone’s watchful gaze, Jill again vanished. This time though Lyssa didn’t panic and instead started humming. Before Jill could understand what was happening, her body flickered once, causing Lyssa to lock on to her. Jill dodged the ring’s attack and crouched low, her eyes suddenly focused on Lyssa. With a bright glow of purple that was mirrored in Lyssa gaze, Jill stood up with a smile. Just as she charged towards Lyssa to deliver a blow, Lyssa smiled and the glow vanished.

Knowing she had been tricked, Jill didn’t change her plan and continued the charge, her body suddenly splitting into two identical copies that raced for Lyssa from two angles.

Lyssa’s ring materialized in front of her and began spinning rapidly as Lyssa then sang a quick ’La’ sound. The right Jill vanished and the ring shot out at the left Jill.

Just as Lyssa was convinced she had won, the left Jill vanished when the ring hit her and Lyssa felt something crash into her back and sent her flying forward, her health bar dropping to zero right away.

Standing up, Lyssa saw Jill was standing right were she had been, a sassy smile on her face. It was clear that she had come up behind Lyssa as she was focused on the two in front of her and attacked her from behind with those black short swords.

Everyone stood up and cheered as Lyssa walked over to where Jill was standing with a swing to her hips.

"I’ll take care of you later," she whispered to the now slightly stunned Jill as everyone approached them to ask them about their abilities. Lyssa had shown them things they had never seen her do before while everything Jill had done was something they hadn’t seen before.

Leona and War were just standing their, a bit shocked as Laz came up from behind them and slipped an arm around each of their waists.

"Surprised?" He asked.

The both just nodded.

"Seems like you two have your work cut out for you with them, especially Jill."

"Just where did you find her again baby?" Leona asked, regaining her voice. She wasn’t surprised by the girls abilities, but her battle sense. That wasn’t something someone could learn in a short period of time no matter how she thought about it. Her ability to attack, dodge and even predict and trick her opponent was something she hadn’t seen before. After all, Leona and War were strong and used to being stronger than those they fought. The only time they ever really felt a challenge was fighting each other, hence why they both enjoyed it so much.

"I dragged her out of hell if I’m being honest. She was forged in fire and darkness and has taken shape. Now you two need to sharpen that edge on her. Sound good?" Laz said, pulling them close.

"Our pleasure," they both responded, their faces lighting up at this similar new sister.
