Chapter 514: The Real Fight Begins

The four sisters looked over at Laz and gave him a weird look.

"What?"

"It’s been almost a year since we last met and the first thing you say is something so..." Death started.

"...Cringy worthy?" War finished while pestilence and famine laughed.

"You know you’re really hurting my image here," Laz complained, but said so with a smile. He didn’t know why the sisters were here, but he wasn’t complaining. He missed them. He missed a lot of people he hadn’t seen in a while. It gnawed at him more than he liked to admit at times, but he was never one to let things weigh him down too much. Lives were like that sometimes, coming and going. Ships passing in the night as the saying goes. If he heard they needed help, he would drop what he was doing in an instance to go help. If anything bad had ever happened to them, he would raze hell to the ground if he had to just to get revenge. But in the end, he wasn’t their sole reason for existing, nor did they need his protection. One thing he knew about the women he had chosen to be with, each one of them were strong in their own right and would grow stronger on their own. If he could be with them in the future, he would.

If he couldn’t? Laz didn’t think about that too much.

"Nice to see all of you have developed a sense of humor..." Laz said with a sigh. Despite his mock agitation, Laz was happy that he could see them again. He had felt there approach as he battled Neferia, but that didn’t make the surprise any less intense.

"They... they...." Warden McKnight was stumbling with her words, unable to get out what she wanted to say. Even worse was the chosen still around with her, the tide of skeletons having momentarily taken pause.

"Yes. The four sisters of sin... Why am I not surprised you are acquainted with... THE FUCK?" Annie said before she was cut off. While watching four more of the most wanted infected in the world due to their exploits across the border, she couldn’t stop herself from gasping as they took turns giving Laz a long, deep kiss each.

"You... you...?"

Laz heard Annie’s words, but ignored them, just holding the four sisters tight to himself in an embrace after the kissing finished.

"I missed you all," Laz said, he voice tinged with sadness. As for the four sisters, while their faces remained impassive, they all had at least one tear drop down their faces.

"How sweet. Really... it’s sickening. Can I kill you now so that I might start the rise of my kingdom? Or do you need a few moments to talk about the old days?" Neferia said with a scowl on her face.

"Interesting. A goddess of death. Somehow... I feel angered," Death said, turning her gaze upon the goddess yet without a hint of fear in her eyes. Her sister’s turned as well, seeing this newly risen goddess and sensing something... desirable within her.

"You... are also one of us... aren’t you?" Neferia said, her eyes locking on Death.

"One of you? I doubt it. I have much better taste after all," Death said, her eyes scanning the practically see through attire Neferia was wearing.

"I mean a seed of death you bitch."

"Oh. That. I suppose so."

"I’m lost...." Laz said, looking back and forth between Neferia and Death.

"It’s hard to explain master and now isn’t the time. We shall speak to you about it after we remove this slut’s head from her body," Pestilence said, obviously angered at the slight towards her sister.

"So be it," Laz said, turning to face Neferia once again.

"HA. So you think adding a few more lords is enough to make me bow? How amusing of you. While I admit your blood is strong, your choice in allies is quite weak. I can’t even sense their race which means they aren’t from the bloodline of the omniverse’s strongest. And yet here they stand against me, one little death seed and her sisters. I truly need to show this pitiful world just who I am..."

The girls, hearing this insult, growled in anger, releasing not only their projections but also their transformations. Much to Laz’s surprise, the girls looked way different than before. Instead of them morphing into these grotesque figures, it seems like the growth in their realms also came with a growth in their powers. Their hair stayed black while their skin turned a pale, lifeless shade of white. On their bodies formed armor, each of them looking different than one another.

Death’s armor was a pure black, form fitted that covered her from head to toe. In her hands was still the massive scythe, but it looked bigger than before while the blade looked as though it was formed from moonlight.

War’s armor was a dark red, the color of blood. It was much bulkier than Death’s and made it look like her body was several times larger and stronger than before. In her hands were a massive sword in her left and an even bigger hammer in her right, both forged from some strange black substance.

Pestilence’s armor was a deep green color and while it covered her entire body, it didn’t seem bulky like War’s nor form fitted like Death’s. In her hands were a book, with a black cover and pages the color of blood.

Famine’s armor was a brownish yellow and sat close to her but hung loose, almost like it was more or a robe than an armor. In her hands was a staff, massive in length and almost twice the size of her.

Each of them seemed to have changed substantially since the last time Laz had seen them, but it was clear their power had grown immensely.

"WAIT!!! Those weapons... how are they on this planet... that’s impossible...." Neferia said, clearly upset by what the girls were holding.

The weapon she was really focused on was the scythe that Death held, her eyes showing both shock and excitment.

"That weapon looks a bit out of your league little girl. How about you hand it over to me for safe-keeping?" Neferia said, the sound of greed evident in her voice.

"Sorry you saggy old bitch, but you’re not even the least bit worth," Death said with a grin, obviously mocking her.

"THEN I’LL TAKE IT MYSELF," Neferia said, blasting out with a swelling of power. While she had been fighting before, she was holding herself back as she wished to preserve Laz’s body in order to take it and make it her pet. But now that she laid eyes on the weapon death was wielding, she couldn’t care less about Laz.

"This..." Annie was at a loss at the moment feeling the power coming off from Neferia. She had been considered strong among the chosen even though she never exercised her power, allowing it to grow faster. But seeing this clash between a god and her enemies, she felt nothing but regret at that wasted time.

"Record them. I want all of this recorded and sent back to headquarters," Annie said, snapping out of her daze and ordering one of the chosen.

"Yes mam..."

"That’s assuming we survive," said another, but quickly shut his mouth.

"... Stream it just in case we don’t. We won’t fail this mission," Annie said, changing her tone once she realized that she too didn’t know if they would survive after feeling a taste of Neferia’s full strength.

The other chosen took the orders while understanding her words. The one with the camera nodded and began the video transfer, sending it directly into the office for recordings. He knew they would see it and then it would get transferred to the higher ups. And in an effort to maximize security, the office would be purged. But since they were all humans anyway, he didn’t care too much.

As for Laz, looking at thing that would soon get out of hand with the power Neferia was displaying, he knew it was time he took things seriously too. While still in his battle form, the massive battle palace emerged behind him, like a portal to another world as the apocalypses ring appeared, circling around it like the ring around a planet.

With the mergence of the ring, something strange happened to the four girls.

They eyes all suddenly went from black to red as the pressure coming off their bodies grew, causing their energy to no longer feel like a massive waterfall, but instead like a tsunami, threatening to blow away everything in it’s wake.

"THAT RING... I KNOW... I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE!!!" Neferia said, sounding afraid for the first time since the battle began, despite her overwhelming power advantage.

"Too late," hissed death as she charged forward, her sister’s on her tail.

Laz stood there looking stunned for a moment as the four of them laid into Neferia, drowning her in attacks from every angle. Even looking at it from where he was, he couldn’t find an open angle to try to assault the ancient god.

While this happened, the skeleton and wraith army descended upon the waiting chosen who also began to fight, leaving Laz ignored.

’I wonder... should I just sit and watch or...’ Laz thought to himself, actually feeling unneeded for once.
