Chapter 479: Battle Of The Manor (Intermission 5)

Laz was passed out, as was Sylvia and Ivana, their bodies a mess of sweat and other fluids. Genevieve was currently tending to Maia as Jill was laying next to Laz, cleaning up his body from the exertion he had just undergone. With a damp towel, she was wiping him down, removing the remains of their ’milking’ session as she smiled.

She had not taken part, mostly because she didn’t feel it was her place too but also because she still had her reservations. What Laz had feared most didn’t come to pass, at least it hadn’t yet. She didn’t hate him nor did she try to avoid him. Instead, something about him drew her closer.

She knew about the dark one inside of her, she had been with her for several years now. And while she had no memory of the things that happened when her dark side was in charge, she was usually able to put the pieces together. Since her dark side was still a part of her, she also benefited from the time she had been together with Laz. Although the nourishment was more in her dark sides favor, she had benefited as well, swiftly leaping over the barrier and even condensing her foundation until it was complete. This was a joint effort between her and her dark side as they both shared the same body.

It wouldn’t be long now before she entered the void palace realm, something her dark side had told her they would build together after she had awakened. Her dark side had also told her that being close to Laz would be the best thing she could do if she wanted to keep growing.

And she did want that, almost to the point of obsession. After all, she still had another target that she had decided must die no matter what. Laz had taken care of the men from the basement, killing all of them which freed a part of her. But there were two more who were responsible for her suffering and those two she would kill herself in the very near future.

As for why she was waiting considering they were just normal humans, she honestly didn’t know. But for now, she knew she wasn’t ready for that battle just yet.

As for what she had witnessed, having been awake and watching almost the entire time, she had no idea how she should feel about it. She was still a young woman after all and despite everything that had come about, she couldn’t help but feel turned on, watching what Laz did to Sylvia and Ivana.

’The way he dominated them, used them. The emotions they showed of total submission to him. He is... not like any other guy I have ever met," Jill concluded by the end. She had to stop herself from pleasuring herself to the sight, something made harder by the fact that Genevieve was taking care of herself the entire time.

But even when drowning in lust, they didn’t forget their purpose, nor did they end up wasting a single drop of the produced fluid.

It had all ended up right at Maia’s mouth like it had needed to, thanks to the efforts of Sylvia and Ivana.

’I can’t even begin to imagine how many times they actually climaxed themselves during this entire thing. Yet they never lost their purpose even once...’ Jill reflected as she lifted Laz’s arm, something requiring all of her strength.

"Damn... he really does weigh a lot for someone so skinny looking," Jill ended up complaining out loud.

"Well then why don’t you just let me rest and I will clean up when I get up?" Laz asked, a smirk on his face even though his eyes were still closed.

"You’re awake?" Jill asked, somewhat shocked.

"Men and women orgasm differently. While a woman will typically orgasm with her whole body, assuming the guy is doing it right, a guy’s orgasm is generally limited to his mid region. As such, I’m not nearly as tired as those two are. I could still sleep, but I can’t really let myself relax too much seeing as how we are waiting for a goddess to wake up," Laz said, his eyes still closed.

"But.. I’ve been washing you for almost ten minutes now...?" Jill said, somewhat shy now thinking about how he had been awake all this time.

"And it felt good. So why not let myself enjoy it?" Laz responded with a little laugh.

Jill didn’t know what to say, so instead she just walked away under the pretense of changing out his water.

Laz sat up and looked over. Maia’s decay and corruption was gone and she had started to heal. The reason for his extreme exhaustion had more to do with the amount of black flame he had needed to use to cleanse her than the ’milking’ that had been done to him before this. Even though seven times in a day was intense, he felt like he could go three more times before he really wouldn’t have anything left.

He wasn’t going to tell anyone that though.

Looking over, he noticed that Sylvia and Ivana were starting to stir, which meant it was almost time for him to get out of here. It wasn’t that he wanted to avoid them, it was simply that he had already did what he could so there was no need to hang around.

’Kind of want to get a look at that forcefield if I’m being honest with myself,’ Laz thought. He wondered if the runes here were anything like the ones he had learned on earth.

Instead of waiting around for no reason, Laz got up, walked over to where Jill was rinsing out the towel she had been using and picking up the jug, he dumped it over his head, letting the cold water coat his naked body and run down on to the floor. Laz then let the black flame flare up and evaporate the water while Jill and Genevieve looked on, mostly their gaze lingered on his now swinging and somewhat softer member.

After the water was gone, Laz put on a layer of clothes before walking over to grab the previously discarded armor. It had been damaged in his fight with the crazy dead guy, but Laz was surprised to notice that there wasn’t a bit of damage to be seen.

"Alright. Well that’s weird..." Laz said while checking it out.

"That’s one of our people’s most expensive and rare items, a liquid metal. I can’t tell you how it’s made, but I can tell you that as long as the item it was forged into isn’t destroyed, it can actually fix itself to how it was before being damaged," Genevieve said, her eyes not leaving Laz despite being right next to the goddess herself.

"Wonderful. When everyone wakes up, tell them I’ve taken a walk to the manor again. I want to see this thing up close for myself," Laz said taking a bit of the strange, apple size blue fruit sitting in a bowl on the wooden stand next to the water.

"Alright... I would think that everyone here would want you here if you didn’t go, so just make sure you don’t go getting yourself killed," Genevieve warned, somehow knowing that stopping Laz was impossible.

"Fair enough.. whoa. Jill?" Laz said, seeing Jill now dressed in her attendants battle outfit which was basically a metal bikini.

"If you go, I will follow," Jill said, her voice leaving no room for arguments.

Laz could only sigh and beckon her to follow him, disappearing a moment later into a dense fog which seemed to get thicker the deeper they went.

It seemed like while they had been inside, a fog was coating everything, making sight that much harder.

As Laz’s eyes glowed gold however, he didn’t have an issue.

"Stay close," Laz said to Jill and began walking with her in tow.

They slipped out passed the encircled guards and avoided everyone, including the council members who had erected their own tent while they waited, having servants waiting on them hand and foot.

It didn’t take long before they arrived back at the manor, now an almost lifeless behemoth, standing alone within the grey nothingness that the fog had brought on.

Laz could hear people whispering about the fog as he avoided everyone, troops and priestesses alike.

"This fog is evil. In the past thousand years, the number of times the fog has come in could be counted on one hand," said one, nameless voice.

"They say that the goddess herself was struck down. Doesn’t this mean we are all doomed?" said another.

Back and forth arguments were going on, making everyone lose sight of the enemy right before them.

Coming upon where the old gate had stood, Laz noticed that while the iron had been knocked aside, there was now some sort of film that covered where it had once stood with strange markings visible on the ground.

Laz knelt down to get a closer look, curious at what these new symbols meant.

They were far different than the ones he had studied in the past.

Just as Laz was observing them, a dark form took shape on the other side of the gate, causing Laz to lose his focus as he stood and faced this interloper.

"He he. You being here tells me that something has happened? What is it boy? Did the stick finally break?" The old man who was the patriarch of the first family said with his raspy voice as a sick grin covered his face.

"Ha. Do you think that your little tricks would work? She is alive and well, just getting a bit of rest. It’s not every day a mother has to deal with her brats misbehaving... well... maybe they do. I don’t really know a lot of mothers after all. Then again, with kids like you, who would want to be a parent anyway?" Laz said, his voice steady.

For a moment, the old patriarch was stunned, watching Laz’s expression and listening to his words in disbelief. Then he began laughing again, this time louder.

"You almost had me fooled. But boy, did you know? When the fog settles in, it’s because the void between this dimension and the outside has opened up, something she wouldn’t do if she was awake. After all, we have tried seeing what was out there before and the only thing laying in wait in the abyss are demons and monsters the likes of which would make even your skin crawl. No boy. If she was alright, it wouldn’t be this dark. Pretty soon, this place will be swarming with demons, enough to make the streets run red with blood. And when that happens, we will finally be able to leave. So until then, we shall happily wait here and enjoy the screams of our brethren as their lives are reaped from them one at a time. Fare well boy. Maybe I’ll see you again... even if it’s just your corpse... HA HA HA HA HA!"

And with that, the old man walked off, laughing to himself.

Others had heard what he had said and began to panic, but Laz was firm in his thoughts. He didn’t know why the mist was here, but he knew that Maia was going to be ok.

So for now, the only thing on his mind was studying the runes before him.

Squatting back down, Laz took to observing with the ever silent Jill by his side.
