Chapter 460: Setting A Trap
Laz saw the look in both Sylvia’s and Ivana’s eyes, knowing that they had some idea.
"What?" Laz asked, seeing them go quiet.
Ivana and Sylvia both looked at each other but didn’t answer Laz.
"Is there something I shouldn’t know? I mean, I understand that I’m just a third wheel along for this ride, but since I’m stuck here till you’re both done with this, I would like to help if possible," Laz said, still confused about their silence.
"It’s not that. But.. the family we are talking about... if it is actually this...." Ivana started, but couldn’t continue.
"Our people owe our lives to them. They were the ones who fought on the frontlines while we retreated from our original home world after the previous mother tree had fallen. Most of the elders and even adults of that generation fell in that final battle. If not for them, we might have all been wiped out. Our memories are good as a people and as such, this family is considered the first of the twelve noble families due to their sacrifice for us Plains Fae."
"Ok. So... super popular noble family saved your asses and now you’re about to go accuse them of treason. That about sum it up?" Laz said, getting the jest of the problem.
"Yes. And... well... truth be told, we have no real proof other than our theory to back it up," Sylvia said, pointing to the main issue at the moment.
"And you can’t just have little miss sunshine here say something about it?" Laz asked, pointing to Maia.
"Their loyalty and sacrifice predates her. Even if she is the goddess who leads us through reincarnation and protects our people, it won’t sit well with anyone if she were to step forward in such a manner. It might make people question our motives."
"So she doesn’t have enough clout for something like this yet, huh?" Laz asked, his mind starting to work.
"Clout?"
"Uh... respect. Let’s go with respect," Laz said, waving off the question after correcting his wording.
"Well, what makes them different?" Laz finally asked after thinking it through.
"Well. There is nothing in particular, but for us Plain’s Fae, one of our defining features relate to our hair color. From a bright golden to a deep brown, it has always been that way," Sylvia said.
"But around one hundred years ago, they started having children born with black hair..." Ivana added.
"And the thing with the child in their daily learnings..."
"I had almost forgotten about that..."
"What?" Laz didn’t understand this back and forth they were having since obviously he didn’t know anything about it.
"One of the families young sons, a toddler around the age of twenty, ended up manifesting his abilities while at school. While it’s normal that they sometimes end up losing control, the result of this young, black hair child was he created a flame that even the foundation stage professor couldn’t put it. It resulted in the death of another little boy who happened to be close by. It ended up taking a Void Palace realm to suppress and barely put out the fire caused by an awakened youth. While there was a lot of anger and the family had to pay a large settlement to the family of the young boy who burned to death, the family of the black haired boy was ecstatic over the birth of a new son with such power at his disposal," Sylvia explained.
"That’s... kind of horrible," Laz commented, his face scrunched.
"After that, the black haired boy was homeschooled and was never seen out in public again. While some families do have fierce training for their new generation, for the child to have not been seen out at all ended up causing the topic to be discussed for a long time before it gradually died down. Of course it also helped people to forget because all of the other children of the family also left general schooling shortly after that," Ivana said, her gaze locked on something far in the distance.
"So what do we do then?" Laz asked, wondering if there was even a plan to come up with.
"Well. Considering the situation with the Infernal Beetles has been delt with, I can call a leadership meeting to inform all of the families as well as the public of what happened. In that scenario, that family should show up as well," Sylvia suggested.
"And how will that help us?" Laz questioned.
"Simple. We will explain how all of this was solved thanks to you. After that, the family should be quick to target you and we should just have to intercept them to keep them from killing you," Ivana suggested, to which everyone but Laz agreed.
"So I get to be the bait?" Laz said, scoffing.
"Yep. So go do whatever while I make arrangements," Sylvia said before hurrying off.
"So now what?" Laz said, turning to look at both the masked Ivana and the little loli goddess Maia.
"Let’s go outside!" Maia said before snapping her fingers. Suddenly, the outfit on her body that had matched Ivana’s shimmered and disappeared leaving her completely naked once again, something that Laz had to turn his head away from. Even if she was ten thousand years old with proportions that didn’t match her body, she still looked like she was way too underage for his liking.
"Hmm... Oh...." Maia said while thinking. Snapping her fingers once more, a shimmer of light surrounded her before fading, leaving her in a yellow dress with white lace around the skirt and arms. Now she looked even more like someone not over the age of twelve if it wasn’t for the massive melons she had on her chest and the skirt that seemed to be riding up more than it should thanks to her backside.
"A rather normal dress for a child my lord," Ivana said, complimenting her.
"Of course it is. Now if you don’t get changed, we are going to leave you behind. Come on my personal escort," Maia said before reaching up and grabbing Laz’s arm to drag him down the hall way towards the front doors.
It’s worth it to note that Laz looked twice her size and yet even then, his arm felt like it was stuck in a metal clamp as he couldn’t move it even if he wanted to.
Just as they left the massive palace, Ivana came running from somewhere else with her clothing having been change to something else entirely; a blue tank top and black booty shorts.
Laz couldn’t help but be amazed by the transformation. Sure, the white dress she had on before was just the slip of fabric down the center and back that covered her sensitive bits but left both of her legs fully naked. But now not only were her legs naked, but the tank top only went down to below her rather healthy breasts, leaving her tight abs exposed.
And the biggest change would be that she was no longer wearing a mask. If it wasn’t for her voice asking them to wait up, Laz wouldn’t have even recognized Ivana.
As for how she looked? Her phoenix eyes were a deep green mixed with blue, dark and mysterious. Her skin, while white, had some color to it and her hair was a deep brown, but mixed with highlights of gold.
She was beautiful in that girl next door type of way.
It took Laz a few seconds to stop staring at her as she caught her breath, obviously having raced as fast as she could to get here and join them.
"That..?" Laz started but stopped.
"What?" Ivana asked back.
"You have clothing like that?"
"Of course. This is actually a pretty modest outfit. Unless you are a hunter or a guard, this is what is normally worn. Sure, some may dress to stand out more, but generally speaking this is considered pretty modest overall," Ivana answered back, looking down at what she was wearing as though double checking that nothing was showing after her mad dash to get changed.
"Ah. Ok."
’They have tank tops and booty shorts in elf land huh? Guess it’s not just a human thing...’
"Alright. Enough talk you two. Let’s go check out some sights. For the duration of today’s activities, you shall be the mommy and you’re the daddy. And I’m the sweet princess who gets whatever she wants, got it?" Maia said, going into super cute mode that would have sounded innocent except there was a certain softness in her voice that didn’t match her demand.
"Of course my lord oommmmm...." Ivana had gotten elbowed in the stomach by Maia who was standing right next to her.
"My daughter Maia.. got it?"
"Yes... daughter..." Ivana said after coughing a few times.
"And you?" Maia said, turning to Laz.
"Sure thing kid. Whatever you say..."
"Thanks daddy. You’re my favorite... much better than this mean old mommy who never gives me what I want. But daddy always gives me exactly what I want, when I want it and how I want it, right daddy?" Maia said, giggling before jumping forward to hug on to Laz’s stomach before rubbing her unusually large breasts right against his package...
’She’s a ten thousand year old tree. She’s a ten thousand year old tree. She’s a ten thousand year old tree...’ Laz kept repeating this mantra in his mind while Maia kept shaking herself against him, laughing the entire time.
