Chapter 350: Under Attack

The breath in Laz’s body came in waves and went out in waves as he struggled with not only exhaustion, but also with the message being sent to his head.

*Just do it. I have many questions for you and not much time right now.*

With that, Laz felt the link cut off, like hearing the phone on the other side click while in the middle of a call. Laz had questions for her too, but he knew that it would only happen when she was ready for it to happed.

’Actually, maybe I don’t want to see her anytime soon,’ Laz thought to himself as she stashed the demon Raccoon’s body into his pouch.

’I really... eww... I mean. Ok, sure, meat is meat. But this thing was talking to me and now she wants me to eat it? Seriously? It’s even worse that he wants me to eat him. I mean... this thing walked upright and fought with me.’ In his head, Laz was feeling grossed out by the idea of eating his former enemy and trying to decide if it was even worth the attempt, all the while he was walking towards were he knew the girls were waiting and the horde was still stationed.

At least, that was the plan.

Laz suddenly heard a loud rumbling in front of him and stirred his mind out of his own thoughts long enough to see the horde of demon beasts charging towards him. Laz, completely spent, cursed himself for forgetting to grab Sever out from the inside of Azeban. Reaching for it now would take too long so Laz could only reach into his pouch and grabbed out a forearm sized claw remain and took a defensive stance, intent on selling his life at a high price if all of these beasts were going to attack together.

Strangely enough, they flew past him without a word or threat, making their way straight towards the entrance in an attempt to leave.

Laz stood there dumbstruck in his fighting stance, tired and confused.

’Now would have been the best time to kill me... and yet... here I am. Huh! I wonder if I really scared them off that badly?’

He had this thought, but threw it out immediately. His tired brain only then noticed that despite the stampede that he just survived having caused the creatures to retreat, there was still a lot of explosions happening from where they were.

He also noticed that they were coming closer and closer to where he was standing.

"OK. Fuck?"

"Let’s go!" Death said, appearing next to Laz to grab his tired body and start dragging him away.

He started running, but it was clear he was spent.

"What the hell is happening?" Laz asked, doing his best to keep up with her.

"You hear that boom boom?" She said, taking note of where they were and turning left, heading towards the south.

"That boom boom? Yeah."

"That’s not us." Death said, looking at the sky briefly and then changing directions again.

"Uh?" Laz was super lose at the moment. He broken and bleeding body didn’t help at all.

"Uh? You ok?" Death asked, finally noticing Laz’s beaten self.

"Yeah. Mostly."

"Ok. Good. I didn’t think that little furry rat would give you trouble, but I guess it was stronger than we thought since we finished up before you."

"You finished up?" Laz was again confused since he had been hearing the explosions going the entire time he was fighting. While he hadn’t paid them any mind, he knew they were there. And now that he was thinking about it, the girls definitely didn’t have that much ammo in the first place.

"Yeah. We scared them off pretty quick since your new pet could actually make them freeze in their tracks for a bit, allowing us to basically blast away. We did that until we ran out of ammo and she got tired. That’s when this started happening,"

Just as Death was going to explain what she meant, she grabbed Laz hard and jumped to the right, falling behind a stone bench before an explosion rocked the ground right where they had bee standing. Peeking up over the bench, Laz and Death realized that most of it was now gone. Had Death not used all her strength and throw herself and Laz almost fifty feet to the right and behind it, they would have been in very rough shape, if not dead all together.

"What is happening?" Laz asked.

"There. Right there!" Death pointed upwards. Laz followed her arm and noticed a low flying drone spinning around as thought looking for something. Death quickly dragged Laz back down as they tried to hide from it’s site.

"Damn it. Is it the army?" Laz asked, wanting to stretch out his senses to scan the area, but feeling a lot of pain from his head thanks to the beating he had taken.

"Who ever they are, they are basically shelling anything that moves in here," Death said before getting up and dragging Laz with her.

They met the others at the pool, the building was now missing a few walls, compliments of one of the seeker drones seeing Lyssa, War, Famine and Pestilence heading back towards it and inside.

Everyone had gathered in the office and closed the windows and blinds, hoping that whoever was attacking wouldn’t waste ammo on something they couldn’t see.

"Alright, almost there. Just need to tweak this... good. We are ready," Warren said, handing the phone to Lyssa.

"What are you all doing?" Laz asked, walking in and closing the door once Death came in behind him.

Before he go answers, he was attack by hugs as War, Pestilence and Famine all rushed over to make sure he was ok. Lyssa was going to go as well, but the phone was currently in her hands the it couldn’t move far.

"We rigged the phone to the antenna on top of the building. This should boost the signal enough to get her online," Warren responded, collecting up the tools he had been using. While Laz’s boys were about to ask him for an update, Lyssa quickly quieted everyone as she found she could connect.

"Who is she going to call?" Laz was curious. The army had said they wouldn’t be there till morning and yet someone was shelling them while using drones. So what if they even called the police? They wouldn’t do anything even if they knew the beasts had left.

"Call? Why would she call anyone? Wouldn’t it be better to let the world know just what is happening?" Mike responded with a grin.

"Let the world know?" Laz asked.

"It’s not the entire world, just our followers," Lyssa said, rebutting Mike’s statement.

"Hell, that’s enough isn’t it?" Mike said, before turning back to Laz to explain.

"Look bro, I’ve said before that you’re too old fashion. You’ve got to have an online presense like the rest of the world."

"Yeah? I’m sure me letting people know what I am doing would go over real well," Laz responded with mock sarcasim while letting his Asura transformation show and then released it.

"Oh right. Actually, I meant to tell you. There’s actually a whole community of girls online who would love nothing more than to get with an exotic beast like you!" Mike informed his friend in a serious manner.

"They wouldn’t survive."

As though on que, Death, War, Famine and Pestilence all said the same thing as though it were the most natural response in the world. They didn’t even feel the slightest bit ashamed by it.

"Uh. Well. I guess having four girlfriends already would probably cause some jealousy issues. And your girlfriends are already top class beauties so I wouldn’t assume..." Mike, misunderstanding, was stopped quickly.

"No. We mean they wouldn’t survive having sex with him. Their bodies would rip in two."

Once again, the cold blooded yet extremely hot sisters answered at the same time, causing Mike’s face to undergo many subtle changes before it settles on shock.

"He can’t be that big..." Mike started

"It has to do with his strength..." Death answered by herself.

"Enough. Just stop. I’m going live and sending out the message now," Lyssa was bright red and trying to compose herself for the show. She could face down a mutated and bloodthirsty wave of beasts, but hearing that sex with Laz would kill a normal woman was just too much. Although whether that came from embarrassment or interest, no one besides Lyssa would know. Of course even now, her bandmates were laughing while their manager was staring at Laz then at the Ivy’s and then back at Laz.

"Hey everyone. If you’re watching this, I’m glad. It might be the last time you see me. I’m here at Club Star, down in the great state of Texas. We came here for some rest as I’m sure you’ve all seen the videos. But then something happened. We were attacked by these beasts who broke in and started killing everyone. I don’t have time to tell you everything, but as of right now, the beasts have been driven away thanks to the combined efforts of the security teams here at the club and a whole lot of luck." Just as Lyssa was speaking of what happened, a shell landed outside, causing the huge brick building to shake with the force of the explosion.

"But now, thanks the the trigger happy idiots from what we are assuming is the army, we’re this close to being blown up," Mila, Rain and Tia had gotten into the shot and Mila started to complain in her easily recognized, sing-song voice.

"Yeah. So if you all could do use a favor and tell these assholes to stop firing on us since there are still living people in the club, that would be great!" Tia finished up. Although Rain was on camera, she wasn’t a very talkative person by nature and her silence was something she was kind of famed for. Instead, she just smiled a bit and gave a heart sign with her hands to show her appreciation.

"With that, we need to go. Got to keep moving to survive. But we trust all of you will get our message out since they won’t listen to us otherwise." Another explosion rocked the building and some large ceiling panels fell as Lyssa cut the stream. They weren’t in any danger, but she felt like it make things seem a bit more real that way.

"Now what?" Laz asked, seeing the looks of victory on the girls faces.

"Now we wait a bit. From what I saw, the number of people who caught us online was a little over a million. But that video will keep replaying for a while on everyone’s feed, not to mention those who will share it. Let’s see if the government can ignore this!" Lyssa seemed proud of herself as she looked back to her bandmates who were also smiling. Laz’s friends were doing the same, trusting this to get the message out quickly. If anything, the only few people who didn’t understand how this was going to help was Laz and the four sisters.

Laz worried if this was actually going to work.

...

"That’s a rather smart girl," Kennedy said, staring at the now ended live stream.

"They can’t hide this attack, nor all of the failures that went with it," Malene agreed while checking out reactions on her laptop. Vivi, Leona and Ruby were all checking out their own feeds to see how fast it was spreading, each with a smile on their faces.

’He was still alive,’ they all thought to themselves, having seen Laz in the background, although briefly.

After checking it’s initial impact, they all got to work on spreading it around, making the video go viral like a fire spreading in the wilderness.

...

In the mobile command base just ten miles away from Club Star, Tommy was pounding the metal table next to him as it started to break down, almost tearing off the hinges from the wall. A video was playing on the screen as several members of the chosen, Agent Wallace and several other high ranking officials watched on.

’Well, this is unexpected,’ Agent Wallace thought, but he kept his mouth closed. Instead, he turned to look at Tommy, barely hiding his smile.
