Chapter 158: Chapter 142: Lin Qiang’s Parents Kneel! Forcing Sifan to Forgive?

And with that, the two ended the call after exchanging pleasantries.

Immediately after, Principal Luo contacted the director of the administrative building. "Hello, Director Ma? Who is the teacher in charge of the Dual Innovation Department? Tell them to come to my office right away."

Before long, a flustered Teacher Zhu arrived at the principal’s office.

Teacher Zhu looked at Principal Luo nervously. "Principal, you wanted to see me?"

Principal Luo was a different person from the affable man who had just been on the phone with Lu Fan. His expression was serious and placid as he nodded. "Teacher Zhu, what’s the procedure for a student to apply for a startup studio?"

"According to procedure, they need to submit a business proposal, a startup application form, and a letter of intent from their advisor. Then, I review the documents. If everything is in order, I pass it on to Director Ma," Teacher Zhu replied.

Principal Luo continued, "Has a student named Jiang Sifan applied for a startup studio?"

Teacher Zhu’s heart skipped a beat when she heard that.

’How does Principal Luo know about Jiang Sifan?’

’Did that guy Jiang Sifan come and tattle on me?’

At this thought, her expression remained placid, but inwardly, she was already seething.

Teacher Zhu quickly replied, "Jiang Sifan? Yes, he came to apply for a studio. He was just here this morning."

"I see."

Principal Luo nodded, then asked, "And did you approve his application?"

"Principal, his startup project is quite interesting. He’s already secured partnerships with over ten off-campus businesses. I just asked him to refine his business proposal and come back to me once it’s done. It’s really just a formality, to follow procedure. As it stands, his startup has no major issues, and he’s a good candidate for a studio." Teacher Zhu wasn’t sure what Principal Luo already knew, so she decided it was best to recount everything that had happened.

Of course, she conveniently omitted the argument between Jiang Sifan and Xu Junjie.

After listening, Principal Luo thought for a few seconds before waving his hand dismissively. "Don’t worry about the procedure. Just assign him an empty classroom in the entrepreneurship building. Make sure it’s one of the larger ones in a good location."

"Yes, of course." Teacher Zhu had no idea why Principal Luo was showing such special concern for Jiang Sifan.

’But judging by the principal’s tone, this student must have some powerful backing.’

She couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret.

’She regretted being so biased toward her own student just now.’

After leaving the principal’s office, she rushed back to her desk and called Xu Junjie. "Hello, Jun Jie? Send me Jiang Sifan’s contact information."

Xu Junjie, who was in the middle of a game, was baffled when he heard this. "Teacher Zhu? What’s up? Are you going to tell Jiang Sifan his application was rejected? If that’s the case, I can just tell him myself. You don’t have to go out of your way."

"Who said his application was rejected?" Teacher Zhu immediately retorted. "His startup project is innovative and brilliant. He’s only a freshman, and he’s already partnering with over ten off-campus businesses! Forget you—even I couldn’t have pulled that off when I was a student. How could a student like that possibly get rejected?"

Xu Junjie was dumbfounded.

’It’s only been a couple of hours. How could her attitude change so drastically?’

He stammered, "Teacher... I thought you were..."

"Enough of what you thought! Just send me his contact information, now. And you are going to apologize to him. Your behavior this morning was completely out of line. You’re the student head of the Dual Innovation Department, yet you threw an applicant’s form in the trash can. You’re a junior, and you didn’t show the slightest respect to a freshman. You owe him an apology, period."

Teacher Zhu pressed on, "Alright, I’m hanging up. Send me his contact info right now."

After she hung up,

Xu Junjie was still reeling.

’No, seriously, did Jiang Sifan put some kind of spell on Teacher Zhu?’

’How could her attitude do a complete 180 like that?’

’What in the world was going on?’

While he was still spacing out, another message came in from Teacher Zhu: "Send me his contact information. Now."

Xu Junjie didn’t dare to hesitate. Even though he had no idea what was happening, he immediately copied and pasted the number from Jiang Sifan’s earlier call and sent it over.

Meanwhile, Jiang Sifan had returned to his dorm and was lying glumly on his bed.

Gao Lao and Qiu Zai were busy playing Honor of Kings.

Noticing Jiang Sifan was in a foul mood, Brother Ming asked, "Sifan, what’s wrong? Why the long face?"

Jiang Sifan pretended nothing was wrong. "It’s nothing," he replied. "Just a bit tired."

"If you ask me, you’re pushing yourself too hard," Gao Lao chimed in. "The rest of us freshmen are still just messing around, but you’re already starting a business."

Jiang Sifan sighed helplessly. "I don’t really have a choice. My family isn’t as well-off as you guys. I need to earn money for my living expenses, and I need to save up, too."

"Still, I’ve gotta say, I really admire you," Qiu Zai teased. "Not only are you starting a business, but you even got the class belle to join you."

Jiang Sifan was surprised. "Class belle?"

"Yeah. You didn’t know? All the guys agree that Wen Wan is our class belle," Qiu Zai replied.

Jiang Sifan shook his head. "How did I not know about that?"

Brother Ming chimed in, "Oh, that’s right! I remember now. During the military training at the start of the year, all us guys were debating which girl was the prettiest. You were off helping a teacher, so you weren’t part of the discussion. In the end, we all agreed that Wen Wan looked the best in the training uniform."
