Chapter 52: 52-His wish
After leaving the shop, Nytherael tapped into his vital essence to track his husbands using their fated bond. The moment he tapped into the bond He felt resistance coming from his mate.
One end of that bond was refusing the connection as though resisting his request to know where they were.
Fortunately for him, the other half of the bond was open. Quickly connecting to the link before it disappeared, he was able to drag the location of his husbands.
With the location down, He gave the show keeper the address for delivery. It was much easier to move his gifts this way because they were too many for him to carry by himself.
And plus, now that he was getting back to his former self, it felt a little too lazy for him to actually carry the gift bags when he can have someone do it for him.
Using the teleportation doors in Sserath, they quickly arrived at the rooftop of the underwater palace.
The serpent shopkeeper and his men had no difficulty breathing underwater. The minute they realised they were underwater they adjusted themselves and their clothing to fit the surrounding and quickly blended in.
As for Nytherael, he was a little surprised by the palace and the water because that was his dream palace. He had once mentioned it to his husbands and consulted them about constructing one and back then, the two of them shut down the idea With numerous excuses.
Sseraphis claimed that he was too proud for a nine-headed snake to actually live underwater like a sea serpent. While Aeltharion said that dragons were meant to fly and conquer the sky not exist in a building under the water.
It was ironic. Now that their relationship had broken and he had made a mistake that wounded both of them, they went ahead to build his dream house and live in it without him. This fact choked him.
It seems that his two husbands were determined to live and breathe in a world without him. They were accomplishing his dreams and theirs while excluding him from their plans.
It hurt to know that he is the one who had let them go because even now, they still remembered his dreams.
His level of cultivation and power quickly adjusted his body so much so that his skin was able to stay underwater without being affected.
"The bill," The shopkeeper handed him the receipts for the delivery fee.
He quickly settled the bill and knocked on the door of the underwater palace.
One knock Pause. Then three more.
Sseraphis frowned. He had clearly blocked the link when he felt Nytherael try to connect with him through it. He couldn’t understand how the fox was still able to find him even though he blocked every means of him being tracked.
Then he remembered that he wasn’t the only one connected to this link. One other person who had suddenly become the fox’s advocate was also bound to the same bond.
It was extremely infuriating, Knowing that their lives were ruined by the fox and his betrayal not only defined future deaths but still their dragon wanted to see the best in the fox.
"Why are you determined to put me in a black hat?" He entered the room and immediately Jumped into questioning the dragon without even greeting him.
Aeltharion Looked over his shoulder, " Why are you determined to wear a black hat? Black looks awful on you, venom."
Sseraphis fumed. "I didn’t want him here. After everything..."
"I don’t have much time, venom. And I’m not sure how much longer I have left..."
Sseraphis eyes softened. The animosity in body language lessened.
"I just want all of us to get along before my time comes to an end. I want to be remembered. I want to be a eternal for you and him," He declared.
"You will always be eternal to me."
"I want to restore the peace of our Tri-soul bond before I die. Can you grant me this wish?"
"Why do you do this to me?"
"Because I love you so much and I just wish that you would love yourself enough to let go of the past."
Sseraphis paused. His whole body went cold. Too cold even for a snake.
How could he tell Aeltharion The truth that he had discovered? How was he supposed to say that the reason he can’t accept the fox is not because he is not mature enough to forget the past but because the fox doomed them with a death certificate signed and sealed.
"He’s not worth it."
"Give him a chance. He can prove himself."
"Or approve you wrong."
"You know that you can’t hate him forever. Why don’t you open your heart and accept the truth, It will set you free, you know."
"It can also put me in entirely new prison. I’ll pass."
Just as he turned around to leave Nytherael arrived. In his hands were all the gifts that he had bought at the shop for Sseraphis.
"Hey loves. Missed me?"
He put on his best smile as he came face to face with his husbands. Longing lingered behind his eyes, the gold and the crimson pupils shimmered With great light.
"I come bearing gifts. I’ve missed you both dearly."
"We saw each other yesterday!" Sseraphis snapped not having any of it.
"And I I feel like my heart has been shredded to pieces in that time. How I have missed you," He rushed into Sseraphis’ Arms and buried his face In the snake’s neck, breathing loudly and inhaling just as deeply.
Sseraphis tensed, clearly not expecting Nytherael to shamelessly throw himself at him and embrace him like nothing happened.
Aeltharion smiled and soon joined on the hug. "Now this is what I’m talking about. I have missed peaceful days like this. Where hugs lead before screams. Where peace exists with no fights," He said.
Sseraphis clenched his fists. His eyebrow is tightened. He couldn’t Believe that after everything that happened he was the only one uncomfortable and for feeling so, he felt like the villain of the story even though he was a victim.
"I’m sorry. I’m sorry to both of you for what I did... I’m sorry for thinking that I can be happy without you both... And I’m sorry that I made you feel like you weren’t enough by choosing someone else... I’m sorry," Nytherael Apologise repeatedly. His voice deep with emotion And regret.
"I will apologise every day if that’s what it takes for you to forgive me. Every day, I will kneel at your feet and tell you how sorry I am."
"That won’t be necessary."
Aeltharion cut in. "Certainly. I for one cannot wait to see how you win us back," He smiled brightly.
It was not until Sseraphis pulled back and broke the hug that the three finally came face to face, eye to eye with each other.
Nytherael was happy they didn’t immediately throw him out, Aeltharion was excited to see them make up and Sseraphis felt like exploding and the hypocrisy of the situation.
