Chapter 469: Chapter 467: End

"What? He said he’s going to use the true One Sword Asura? Did he receive the inheritance for it, too?"

"Impossible. Aren’t the Sword Tomb’s inheritances based on one’s strength? He’s a mere Tier Five Spirit Marquis. How could he have access to One Sword Asura, a skill only the Core Disciples of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect can learn?"

"Absolutely impossible! Even we couldn’t get it, so how could he!"

The surrounding disciples couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Bai Li, in particular, shook his head, still reeling. The force of Shen Haoran’s slap had left him speechless, his mind still buzzing.

’Impossible! He couldn’t have received the One Sword Asura inheritance! I’m the one recognized by the Ten Thousand Swords Sect!’ Bai Li roared inwardly, his eyes fixed on Shen Haoran with such venom it seemed he wanted to tear him limb from limb.

But regardless of their disbelief, regardless of their silent screams, Shen Haoran’s next move silenced them all. They obediently shut their mouths, not daring to utter another word.

Shen Haoran formed a sword-finger with his right hand and drew it back to his chest. Though no Sword Light flickered, everyone could clearly sense a shift in his aura. Moments ago, Shen Haoran had been as domineering as a great warhammer; now, he was as keen as a Sharp Sword piercing the sky. The incisive edge of his presence was so intense that the other Martial Artists didn’t dare to look at him directly.

"Power contained, strike like lightning! One Sword Asura!" When the sharpness emanating from Shen Haoran condensed to its absolute peak, he let out a fierce cry and thrust his sword-finger forward.

SHIING...

The sudden cry of a sword rang out. The longswords scattered around the Sword Tomb seemed to react to the sound, all beginning to tremble in response to the heaven-shaking ring.

Immediately after, a brilliant Sword Light erupted from Shen Haoran’s hand, expanding in an instant. The blinding radiance forced the surrounding Martial Artists to shut their eyes. They then felt an incomparably sharp aura flash past them. The residual Powerful Qi lashed against their bodies, instantly shredding their clothes and leaving behind bloody marks on their skin. Many of them suffered numerous cuts, and blood began to flow at once.

BOOM!

A deafening roar followed as a furious gale sent the Martial Artists flying. They tumbled across the ground several times before coming to a stop, just as chunks of shattered rock rained down from above, nearly burying them alive.

After what felt like an eternity, the immense commotion finally died down. The Martial Artists cautiously opened their eyes. When they saw the scene before them, they were all dumbfounded. They stared at one another, each seeing the same look of utter terror reflected in the others’ eyes.

Bai Li was nowhere to be seen. In the spot where he had been standing, a massive chasm, over a meter wide, now scarred the earth. It stretched far into the distance, growing deeper and wider as it went. The ground around the chasm was fractured and splintered, making it look as though the very earth had been cleaved in two. The sight was horrifying.

And the one responsible for it all, Shen Haoran, remained in the posture of his strike, the sharp Sword Intent around him lingering long after the attack.

Staring at Shen Haoran’s back, the onlooking Martial Artists couldn’t help but gulp. Their minds reeled with disbelief. ’One Sword Asura... this is the true One Sword Asura.’ The power Shen Haoran had just unleashed was on par with, if not greater than, the Sword Light they had witnessed at the sect’s main gate. They hadn’t even heard Bai Li scream before Shen Haoran obliterated him. They had actually planned to steal his Storage Ring and treasures. Only now did they realize how foolish they had been. If Shen Haoran wished it, he could have annihilated them all with a casual wave of his hand. The gap between them was simply too vast.

HUFF... Shen Haoran took a deep breath, suppressed the lingering Sword Intent, and slowly lowered his sword-finger. Gazing at the sundered earth before him, he nodded in satisfaction. ’One Sword Asura truly is the Ten Thousand Swords Sect’s Martial Skill with the highest Attack Power. Its might is definitely comparable to an Earth Tier, High Level Martial Skill.’ But as he felt his nearly depleted Dantian, he couldn’t help but give a wry smile. ’As powerful as One Sword Asura is, its Spiritual Power consumption is terrifying. Even at full strength, I can only use it twice.’

Glancing at the spot where Bai Li had vanished, Shen Haoran felt not a shred of pity. He lived by a simple principle: he wouldn’t attack unless provoked, but if someone came for him, he would pay them back a hundredfold. Bai Li had wanted him dead. If he hadn’t been the stronger of the two, he would be a corpse right now. As far as Shen Haoran was concerned, Bai Li had brought his death upon himself.

After dealing with Bai Li, Shen Haoran turned to face the other Martial Artists, their clothes in tatters and their bodies covered in Sword Marks. He said coolly, "I don’t suppose anyone else wants my Storage Ring and treasures? Feel free to come and take them. I’ll be waiting."

A wave of killing intent washed over them from Shen Haoran, and cold sweat instantly beaded on their foreheads. Casting aside all pride, they turned and fled for their lives. They no longer had the courage to face him. He had killed Bai Li in a single blow. If they stayed and angered Shen Haoran, they would likely be joining Bai Li on the road to the Yellow Springs.

"Tch. How pathetic," Shen Haoran scoffed, watching the Martial Artists scatter like rabbits and vanish in an instant.

Hearing this, Ling Feng, who was standing nearby, couldn’t help but roll his eyes. ’Your One Sword Asura nearly split the entire Ten Thousand Swords Sect in half. The fact that they didn’t drop dead from fright already shows they have some backbone, and you’re still calling them pathetic?’

"Junior Shen, congratulations," Ling Feng said with a smile as he walked over. "It looks like you’re the biggest winner from this trip to the Ten Thousand Swords Sect."

Shen Haoran let out a hearty laugh. It was true. On this trip to the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, not only had he obtained Ni Jianshuang’s inheritance, but he had also plundered all the Storage Rings and treasures that the other Martial Artists had found here. He had made out like a bandit. All those other Martial Artists had managed to get were a few Martial Skills from the Sword Tomb. Compared to what Shen Haoran had gained, their haul was a mere drop in the bucket.

"Junior Shen, what are your plans now?" Ling Feng asked. ’The inheritance of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect has been claimed, so this Chapter of our journey is over. Where should we go next?’

Shen Haoran pondered for a moment before replying, "Let’s head out first. Xu Hao and the others are still waiting for me. We’ll talk after we’ve dealt with his injuries."

Ling Feng nodded. With a flicker, the two of them shot off, heading out of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect...
