Chapter 392: Chapter 391: You Talk Too Much
Meanwhile, in the primeval forest of Divine Martial Mountain, Shen Haoran was walking along aimlessly. He glanced back from time to time, as if waiting for someone to appear.
"Are these guys idiots? I left such an obvious trail, how have they still not found me?" Shen Haoran grumbled, cursing at the empty path behind him. To lure out those bastards from Fallen Valley, he had deliberately left a clear trail along the way. However, after all this time, he hadn’t seen a single soul from the group. Shen Haoran was now starting to seriously doubt their intelligence.
"Over there! Quickly!" Not long after Shen Haoran finished speaking, a clamor of voices erupted from the dense forest. A moment later, Elder Xue burst out with a group of people, completely surrounding Shen Haoran.
"Hmph! Go on and run, kid! I dare you to try and run faster!" a disciple from Fallen Valley cursed, pointing a finger at Shen Haoran while panting for breath.
"How could he possibly escape? With Elder Xue here, not a single clue can escape his discerning eyes. Even if his tracks were perfectly hidden, didn’t Elder Xue still flush him out?!" another disciple laughed. The ass-kissing was utterly shameless.
Hearing the disciple’s words, Elder Xue stroked his beard, clearly enjoying the flattery. The wrinkles on his face bunched together, making him look like a chrysanthemum... it was quite...
The thought nearly made Shen Haoran gag, and he was filled with contempt. ’I left such an obvious trail, and it still took you morons half a day to catch up. How dare you brag about your tracking skills? A blind man could have found me faster than you!’
But Shen Haoran had no intention of wasting words on them. "You must be the ones Ouyang Shaoyu from Fallen Valley sent," he stated coldly.
"You’re a sharp one, kid. Did you really think you could offend our Senior Brother Ouyang and walk out of this forest alive? If you know what’s good for you, just do as we say, and we’ll leave you an intact corpse. But if you dare to resist... well, we don’t mind getting our hands dirty. And if that happens, you’ll die a miserable death!" one of the disciples said, his face contorted in a savage grin.
Hearing the disciple’s words, Shen Haoran let out a cold, disdainful laugh. "Is this all Ouyang Shaoyu sent? A few useless dogs like you?" he asked lightly. "Did he happen to tell you anything about me? My strength, for example?"
"About you? You’re just some blind fool who dared to compete with Senior Brother Ouyang for a woman. As for your strength? You’re a worthless Tier Two Spirit Marquis. Everyone who’s entered the Divine Martial Realm knows. The news has already spread all over Divine Martial City—who hasn’t heard? Haha!" The Fallen Valley disciples roared with laughter, looking at Shen Haoran as if he were a clown.
Watching the disciples roar with laughter, Shen Haoran let out a long sigh. He shook his head and said with a hint of regret, "Alas, lackeys will always be lackeys. You’ll spend your whole lives never being your own masters. It’s truly pathetic..." After he spoke, he even put on a sympathetic expression, which instantly made the faces of the Fallen Valley disciples turn grim.
"You dare call us lackeys, kid? I think you’re tired of living!" one of the disciples roared, pointing at Shen Haoran.
"Elder Xue, please allow me to teach this ignorant brat a lesson! I’ll cut out his tongue and serve it to you with wine!" another disciple volunteered, eager to take action against Shen Haoran.
His words snapped the other disciples to attention, and they all began clamoring to be the first to attack and teach Shen Haoran a lesson.
Watching them all fight for the chance to teach him a lesson, Shen Haoran couldn’t help but roll his eyes. ’Teach me a lesson? How naive can they be?’
"I say, why don’t you all just come at me at once? It would be a shame to ruin the friendly atmosphere otherwise!" Shen Haoran finally lost his patience and shouted to the disciples. ’They’re just going to get beaten anyway. Instead of dealing with them one by one, it’s better if they all come at me together. That’ll finish things quickly and save me some trouble.’
But Shen Haoran’s words were twisted in the ears of the disciples. They sneered, "Elder Xue, since this kid is in such a hurry to die, just pick one of us to kill him and be done with it!"
Upon hearing this, Elder Xue shot Shen Haoran a cold glance and said nonchalantly, "Wang Jun, you go. Finish him within ten moves and cut out his tongue for me. Otherwise, you know the consequences!"
One of the disciples in the group stepped forward, his face brimming with confidence. "Don’t worry, Elder Xue. He’s just a Tier Two Spirit Marquis. I won’t need ten moves—I’ll take his head within five!" With that, Wang Jun strode toward Shen Haoran.
"Hmph. Kid, it’s your unlucky day to run into me. Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you and try not to make it too painful, you—" Wang Jun began, a vicious look on his face as he approached. But before he could finish, Shen Haoran cut him off.
"If you’re going to fight, then fight. Cut the crap. You’re nagging like an old woman!" Shen Haoran snapped impatiently.
"Fine... Fine! Since you’re in such a hurry to die, I’ll grant you your wish!" Enraged at being interrupted, Wang Jun said coldly. He then let out a low growl, and his robes began to flutter though there was no wind. A powerful aura erupted from his body.
"A Tier Six Spirit Marquis! Wang Jun’s gotten stronger again! At this rate, he won’t even need three moves to defeat that loser!" Feeling the aura erupt from Wang Jun, the surrounding disciples sang his praises while shooting disdainful looks at Shen Haoran.
"It’s not too late to regret this, kid. If you beg for mercy now, I might still leave you an intact corpse. Otherwise..." Wang Jun started his spiel again.
In response, Shen Haoran simply shook his head. The next instant, his gaze turned razor-sharp. A dragon’s shadow flickered under his feet, and he appeared before Wang Jun in a flash.
"You talk too much!" A cold, merciless voice echoed in Wang Jun’s ear. The next instant, Shen Haoran violently drove his knee straight into Wang Jun’s Dantian. A muffled THUD resounded from within Wang Jun’s body as a terrifying force was unleashed, bending his spine into an impossible arc. His once-powerful aura instantly dissipated, and his facial features contorted in agony, creating a horrifying sight.
BANG...
In the next moment, Wang Jun’s body shot backward like a cannonball, smashing through an unknown number of barrel-thick, ancient trees. He finally skidded to a halt after carving a long trench in the earth. He lay on the ground, completely still. With a single blow, Shen Haoran had completely crippled him...
"Next!" Shen Haoran shouted at the Fallen Valley disciples, casually dusting off his hands as if he had just swatted a fly. But this time, not a single person dared to step forward and fight...
