Chapter 322: Chapter 320:<Heaven Rend.>

"Truly... what a monster that boy is becoming." The astounded voice of the dean echoed through the silent space as he opened his eyes with a wry sigh.

"Heh." Valen, for all his expressionless stoicism, laughed.

The pride and satisfaction on his face couldn’t even be hidden, not that he was even trying to hide it.

"Wiping out two peak law integration stage elder vampires in such quick succession. I think I see why Clarissa would set such a thing up, that crazy woman." He shook his head.

"And all this.. without having experienced yet what it feels like to have the full access to all your abilities." The dean’s voice grew more shocked the more he spoke. The absurdity of the whole situation not being lost on him.

"I already told you. The moment he leaves the abyss, all this madness comes to an end." Valen replied indifferently.

"I believe it’s time we commence with the exams, don’t you think?"

"Haa.... It seems the winds of change are..." the dean’s words cut short as his expression changed dramatically.

"No..." he suddenly exclaimed.

"Old man. What happened."

He spread his perception across the entire planet and his expression darkened even further when he felt the absurd amount of law essence being channeled within a single point at the southern continent.

Right where Dante’s battle was coming to a decisive end..

"No..."

A brilliant purple glow flared from the eyes of the dean as his presence immediately vanished.

.......

Within the sanctuary of elders. Magnus Von Draken was seated cross legged on a futon, eyes closed in meditation, until..

"Hmmm?" His eyes snapped open.

His head swiveled towards the south as his expression turned grim.

He vanished from the spot, appearing high above the floating islands.

"Magnus.." a brown haired old man greeted with a nod.

"Solon.. you felt it too?" He asked. Voice grim.

"We all did." The old man, Solon, replied grimly, nodding towards the other elders that had appeared within the sky.

"What’s happening?" Magnus asked.

"I.. do not know. But the commotion... it’s coming from the south. Something... something terrifying might have appeared there..." the elder callled Solon replied.

"What do we do?"

"We do nothing. Terra’s sustenance isn’t for us to handle. Heh! Let’s leave it to that old man." Solon sneered.

Both he and Magnus and all the others gathered around turned silently towards the south where they could feel a horrifying amount of law essence being channeled.

"Just what the hell is going on?"

......

"Young master..." a tight and grim voice echoed within an opulent room.

The speaker, the average height elder, Cassius, uttered grimly. His expression having turned incredibly solemn, yet...

"Hah! Haha!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" The young man he was talking to laughed.

A manic and hysterical laughter tearing out of him.

"WONDERFUL! JUST FUCKING WONDERFUL!" The disbelief and shock and rage in his voice was clear.

"EVEN UNDER ABSOLUTE SUPPRESSION! HE CAN COMMAND THE LAWS THIS MUCH!! MONSTER! AN ABSOLUTE MONSTER!" The young man laughed even more before...

"Elder Cassius.." he turned towards the elder behind him.

"Yes.."

"Once again. We will need to reconsider our plans becuase what we’re facing now. This... monster. We cannot take him lightly. Not by any means."

The elder, Cassius no longer gave any biting remarks.

Feeling the dreadful amount of law essence being channeled into one point from the south. He could only remain in stunned silence.

"What was father’s response?"

"This.. the lord has yet to reply."

"Heh! That’s fine. Just tell him about this. Tell him what this B-rank mortal is doing right now. That...

.... Will surely get his attention." The young man laughed before turning his attention towards the south.

"Dante Draven.. ohh. Dante Draven.. just what kind of absurd thing are you?" He clenched his fists, trying and failing to prevent their furious trembling.

.....

All over the planet. Those keenly attuned with the world itself felt a profound shift in the world.

Their focus, without exception, all turning towards the south as only one thought prevailed within their minds..

"What...

.... Is happening?"

.......

"Absolute series..."

The world stilled.

The wind.

The sounds of carnage.

The monster’s claws.

The shattering earth below.

The collapsing skies above.

They all dissolved into background noises as..

"... Heaven Rend."

My voice came out. Quieter than the wind.

But.

Far more deadly....

SHING!

Elira came down in a slow cleaving motion.

Her movement looking unbearably slow, yet impossibly fast.

Her massive blade seemed to shadow the entire world at one point before it vanished the next.

It felt like the world’s sound had be cut as a profound silence descended upon the world.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."

A loud and mournful wail suddenly echoed through the entirety of the world itself.

Yet before I could bother looking into what it was.

Crack!

The sound was like thunder in the dead quiet.

I raised my head. My eyes meeting the faceless, frozen figure of the vampiric monster. Its claws were still outstretched, yet, its body had frozen still.

SNAP!

The sound was like that of a rubber band snapping after having been stretched too long.

My eyes widened as the aftermath of my attack finally unfolded before me.

Starting with the creature before me.

The world... split cleanly into two.

There wasn’t any explosion.

No dramatic sounds.

Just the earth splitting apart as everything within the path of my strike was cut.

Not just cut.

<Eyes of Truth> instinctively activated and my shock increased.

The space. The structure holding together the place I had struck. It had been completely and utterly Undone... There was no structure left to restore.

"Wha..." I had no words as I looked at the devastation my attack had caused.

I knew the attack was going to be powerful.

Final moment had already been a perfect example of what happened when laws were combined to their best.

Hell. I had used multiple techniques incorporating multiple law combinations.

But this... this is was something else entirely...

"Dante...." A shocked voice sounded from right behind me.

I turned.

Right behind me, the figures of Mira, Claire, and Clarissa looked at me with eyes that seemed to be looking at a complete stranger.

"Dante... what did you do?"

......

"What... is that?" Magnus asked as his face paled.

The other elders around him didn’t have any words in reply as they all stood transfixed. Eyes trembling at the sight before them.

....

"Dante...." Valen’s disbelieving voice drifted with the wind as his own eyes trembled at the unbelievable sight before him...

....

"Young... young master..." Cassius voice came out quiet. Almost afraid of sounding too loud as disbelief colored his pale face.

...

...

The young man stood silent. Eyes transfixed in absolute shock towards the unbelievable sight from the south.

...

The entire world seemed to have lost its voice collectively as everyone looked towards the south.

It didn’t matter if you were powerful.

It didn’t matter if you were weak.

Everyone could see it.

As for those more in tune with the world.

They had felt it even more.

They had felt the world increase its force of suppression. So much so that most of them lost complete access to all their abilities for a very brief instant.

Yet. Even with all of that....

They could still feel the mournful wailing of terra.

The mournful cry did not ring through the air.

It echoed directly through every soul standing upon her, as they all remained rooted to their spot.

That day marked one nobody would ever forget.

Be they mere mortals or those beyond.

Be they powerful or weak.

Be they relevant or not.

They would all. Without exception. Remember the day a scar spanning half an entire continent, was torn permanently into the body of terra herself...

***********

Tr33_Notes: Damn... in case y’all still don’t understand. Terra’s suppression is already reducing people capable of shattering planets to barely country level. Yet. Even with that suppression amped up to stupid levels, so much that these ancient monsters lost access to their powers, this bastard still carved a Mariana Trench into a continent that was as large as half the earth? Nah.. get the fuck outta here bro....

Damn... anyways, the ability description is down below..

<Absolute Series - Heaven Rend>: A Halberd Art born from the fusion of the Laws of Space and Collapse. It severs the space binding the world together, forcing all things along its path to divide.
