"You look... hurt." Tian’s voice came out slow, unhurried, nothing like the usual boisterous personality he always had.
"I am." Valen answered curtly, sitting cross legged as he regulated his breathing.
"So tell me, how much did you truly use?" He asked.
Valen remained silent for a moment, mulling the question over,
"50% of my base."

"What?" Tian asked, voice cracking in disbelief..
"I used 50% of my base."
"That’s... impossible."

"You’re not playing with me are you?" The old dragon asked, still not believing his ears.
"When have you ever known me to joke, Tian?"
"Fuck! How??"
"Heh! You think that’s what’s surprising? That’s not even the best part." Valen scoffed at his friend’s disbelief.
"What... what do you mean?"
"Look." He raised his right arm.
"What am I looking at here?" Tian asked, confused.
"Look closely, not with your eyes, use your senses." Valen directed.
Once Tian had done as instructed, his jaw dropped, "what? How is that even possible?"
"I don’t know."
"Your arm, it’s collapsing from within, not just collapsing, it is being unmade, fast!, and you say you don’t know?"
"It’s not just my arm, my entire body is being ravaged by a force so strange even negation is having trouble removing it." Valen added, his words grim, yet a smile was on his face.
Tian went silent, looking at his friend wordlessly.
"Your laws... at what effective level did you use them?" He asked, his face showing how much dread he was already feeling at the answer to come.
"Negation at full defensive strength, Massacre at 10% offensive strength."
"And you still took on that much damage?"
"That boy, I don’t know what laws he’s comprehended, but each of his attacks, every single one, was backed by more than Three laws, with more than one having already reached the perfected law state, in each attack, there were atleast two supreme laws backing them, I could confirm the usage of time, since without negation that would’ve been bad, but it was the two unknown laws that were always at the center of all his attacks that did..... This." Valen pointed at his failing body at the end.
"We’re talking about a boy at the mortal stages here valen, does anything you say sound normal to you?"
"It doesn’t, believe me, none of it does, I wouldn’t even believe this if that fool regulus had told me himself, but I faced that boy myself, and I can tell you boldly, if you fought him in your base, there’s a 50% chance that you’ll die, not because he’s stronger, he is not, but the laws he’s comprehended, they do not feel like anything I’ve ever come across before."
A somber silence fell upon the place at valen’s words, both men stewing in their thoughts, as Tian was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that they’d just told him that a B-rank mortal, had the capacity to kill him.
If it were anyone else saying these words, the large dragon would have laughed it off, but it was his friend and brother, valen, this stoic bastard, that was telling him this, so there was no way it would be a joke.
"Heh! Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous, who knew that bastard wasn’t joking around when he declared his son to be more of a monster than he’ll ever be.." the large man snickered.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....." before the two could continue their conversation, a loud, boisterous laughter interrupted them as valen’s sword materialized in cloud of crimson fog, the bandages snapping as they came off, a bloody aura drenching the entire place..
"Senior." Tian bowed respectfully.
"Hmmm? Little dragon, you’re still alive? I thought all those enemies of yours would have descaled you by now?" An aged voice echoed through the air.
"Senior, please don’t joke like that, what if something hears you?"
"Hahahahahahahahaha... don’t worry, they say a good man dies young, but a scourge lives a thousand years, I’m sure you’ll live to 100x of that, after all, what bigger scourge are there other than your rag-tag little group? Hahahhahahahahaha..." the voice laughed, clearly pleased with itself.
"Old Rhada, what is it?" Valen’s indifferent voice interrupted the weapon spirit’s laughter..
"You disrespectful child! You should learn from your friend here, look how he greeted this old man."
"Old coot, If you can’t tell, I’m quite busy right now, so if you have nothing better to say, you can leave."
"Tsk. No wonder you and that regulus boy called each other brother, two disrespectful little children."
Valen was already clossing his eyes, about to ignore the old weapon’s rambling when,
"That boy, even after all this, you’re still underestimating him?"
The weapon’s solemn voice stopped him cold.
"What do you mean?" Valen’s eyes opened up, his gaze intense as he focused on his sword.
"Why do you think I made myself known?"
"Because you’re an egotistical, self centered, arrogant, asshole?"
"Pfft...."
"Why you.... No! Of course not!!"
"Then why?"
"It’s because I sensed that young man was about to activate another zone."
The voice’s words instantly silenced the two men, their expressions morphing into shocked disbelief.
"That’s... that’s not possible." This time it was valen that was stuttering.
"Since when have you known me to waste words, little valen?"
"No. No. Old man, this isn’t about wasting words, it’s about fundamentals, it’s impossible to have more than one law zone, no matter how many laws you comprehend, it’s already a hard task integrating more than a single law, so how is it possible to have more than one law zone?" Tian shook his head adamantly, refusing to believe anything.
"Who said he had only two?"
"Rhada, you don’t mean?"
"I could sense more than two law zones within the young man, the first one, you had seen already, the second, he was about to stack onto the first, and the third, you’ve already experienced it."
"You mean...."
"Yes, that paradoxical realm of absolute heat and absence, it was a budding law zone, but the child seems to be missing one key piece."
"How? How can any of that be possible senior? He’s still a B-rank mortal, B-RANK!! He’s not even undergone transformation yet, let alone integration, so how is he already touching upon and using law zones? Senior, it makes no sense!!" Tian wailed, unwilling to believe that a youth that had awakened not up to 2 months ago, was touching upon something that people used centuries to grasp, he was unwilling, but,
"Unfortunately, that is the truth. That was why I stepped in, to prevent such a tragedy, it would’ve been a waste to face that child when he was still just beginning to get a grasp of his own abilities."
"I would rather wait to face him and that little girl at their most monstrous moment, it would give this old life of mine fulfillment, hahahahahahaha, and I can feel it, it won’t be too long now." The old weapon laughed in pure joy.
"Rhada.." Valen’s voice came out slow, "how much strength would I have needed to use if he’d gone all out, Dante, that boy?"
The weapon stopped laughing, turning its focus toward valen.
"At your base?,"
A moment of silence fell, before the sword dropped a shocker on everyone.
"You would’ve lost!"
