Chapter 2485: Chapter 2493: Validity Period

The name of this place is quite interesting; it’s called Fishery.

The decor is somewhat Chinese, and the shop is quite large. After winding through it, they reached the private room James Black had reserved.

After sitting down, since the heating was on in the private room, Jane Sampson took off her scarf and hood.

"This shop was opened by a colleague from Thomas Lancaster’s school. Thomas and Yvette Quick have dined here and later recommended it to me, suggesting I bring you over to try it when I have the chance." James Black handed the menu to Jane Sampson, "Fish hotpot is their specialty here, and the fish slices are particularly great. You’ll probably like it. Take a look at the menu and pick a few dishes you’d like to try."

As luck would have it, the first thing Jane Sampson saw when she opened the menu was the beverages page.

Her finger landed directly on the passionfruit lemon drink, "I want this! This looks tasty."

James Black glanced at the picture and smiled, "Good choice, it’s a specialty and a house recommendation."

Yvette Quick had recommended this drink to James Black, saying that Jane Sampson would definitely like it.

Now it seems she was right; she liked it just from the picture, even before tasting it.

After ordering, James Black handed the menu to the waiter to prepare the dishes.

While he rinsed the chopsticks for Jane Sampson, he asked her, "You haven’t answered the question I asked earlier."

Jane Sampson was taken aback.

She sat there and thought for a few seconds.

Oh, right.

"I’m not mad anymore~ not in the slightest." Jane Sampson replied without missing a beat, "You’re really great, I adore you the most."

After saying that, Jane Sampson scooted closer to James Black, "James, do you really think that highly of me in your eyes?"

What Jane Sampson referred to was the answer that moved her to tears from James Black.

"Yes." James Black nodded and placed the prepared tableware in front of Jane Sampson.

One word, yes.

Such a simple answer, yet it made Jane Sampson cradle her face and smile for a long time.

"James, just for that answer, and for bringing me to eat hotpot, I won’t be mad at you anymore." Jane Sampson promised sweetly.

James Black didn’t believe it at all.

He responded with an "Oh," raised his eyebrows, and directly asked Jane Sampson.

"How long is this ’no getting mad’ valid for? I’m not counting on a year, so is it a month or a week?" James Black asked quite seriously.

Uh...

Jane Sampson blinked at James Black.

This guy...

Left her speechless.

After waiting a while without a reply from Jane Sampson, James Black turned his gaze to her, "What? Not even a week? So is it a day, or just an hour?"

At this point, James Black paused for a few seconds, sighed, and said, "It can’t possibly be just the one minute you were talking, right?"

"I don’t feel like talking to you anymore, talking to you is too infuriating." Jane Sampson mumbled unhappily, slumping onto the table.

"Really? Then tell me, how long is it good for?" James Black reached over and pulled Jane Sampson up from the table, "Don’t lean on the table; you’ll get burned."

Jane Sampson sat up straight, pursed her lips and thought for a moment, raised one finger, and loudly announced, "The validity is a lifetime!"

"Liar." James Black unceremoniously exposed Jane Sampson, "Don’t declare things so loudly if you can’t keep them, huh?"

"Liar???"

Jane Sampson sat there, slowly turned her head, and looked at James Black with a very aggrieved gaze, just looking at him without saying a word.

James Black glanced at her, leisurely busy with his tasks, and didn’t pay her any attention.
