Chapter 2450: Chapter 2458: Mind the Time

James Black now understood why Jane Sampson was so compliant last night. When he urged her to take a bath, she quickly got up and went.

It seems she was afraid he would discover what she did and worry that he might immediately confront her, so she stayed in the bathroom for more than an hour before coming out.

No wonder, when she came out of the bathroom, she cautiously observed him for a moment. Seeing he wasn’t upset, she happily nestled into his arms.

"Brother, why are you smiling?" Peter Gingery noticed James Black smiling, his eyes widened, "Brother, I’ve noticed you’ve been smiling a lot lately, you’ve smiled more this past year than you have since you were born."

"How do you know the Chief didn’t smile when he was just born?" Liam Woody chuckled at Peter Gingery, "You didn’t see the Chief during his infant years."

"Liam Woody, in a one-on-one fight, I might not be able to take you down, but when your son is born, I could get revenge with one hand, believe it or not?" Peter Gingery raised an eyebrow at Liam Woody.

"Well, that’s quite a skill you have." Liam Woody responded to Peter Gingery’s words with strong disdain.

James Black called Peter Gingery and Liam Woody over not to listen to them bicker. After reaching the office, James Black told Peter Gingery to close the door and handed a document from the drawer to Liam Woody.

He said, "You two will be in charge of this winter training. This is my preliminary plan. Take a look at it, and if you have any other ideas, let me know tomorrow."

"Here we go again, with the yearly winter training." Peter Gingery rubbed his fist, "Is there any change to the method of winter training this year compared to previous years?"

"Not much change, it’s still focused on physical fitness and some survival skills." James Black said, "I won’t be participating in this winter training; I have other plans during that time. As always, pay attention to safety; nothing is more important than the safety of our teammates."

Peter Gingery nodded, "Understood."

Knowing James Black was busy, Peter Gingery and Liam Woody didn’t linger in his office. They left together to study the winter training plan elsewhere.

James Black stayed at the team base until five o’clock before driving away.

JSY gets off work at 6:30 PM, so he needed to head home first to change clothes, then quickly meet up with Jane Sampson at the reserved hotel.

This was the first time James Black would attend an event as Jane Sampson’s husband, so he took it very seriously.

Once home, James Black searched in the master bedroom and living room for Jane Sampson but didn’t find her, so he headed to the piano room.

As soon as he opened the door, he indeed heard the sound of the piano coming from inside.

Jane Sampson was sitting at the piano, seriously playing and lightly singing a song.

It was just that the distance was far, and James Black couldn’t hear what she was singing.

"Practicing the piano?"

James Black walked in and stood behind Jane Sampson, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, "Have you been practicing all afternoon?"

He reached out and let down her casually tied ponytail, reminding her, "It’s almost six o’clock, you should go change clothes; we need to get ready to leave."

Jane Sampson was startled by James Black’s sudden appearance.

She had indeed lost track of time while practicing the piano.

"When did you come in?" Jane Sampson stood up to close the piano lid before turning to ask James Black.

"Just came in." James Black nodded at the watch on his wrist, "In the future, remember to balance work and rest when practicing the piano, don’t sit for an entire afternoon; it’s not good for your back."

"I just got carried away." Jane Sampson stuck out her tongue, "I didn’t notice while practicing, but now that you mention it, my back does feel a bit sore."
