Chapter 2432: Chapter 2340: Have You Caught a Cold?
After the meal, Old Master Black was smiling as he watched James Black lead Jane Sampson out the door, and again smiled as he watched James drive Jane away in the car.
Once they left, Old Master Black clicked his tongue and said, "Look at these two, they’re like conjoined twins now. They used to resent each other, but now, neither of them resents the other anymore. Such chemistry."
Peter Gingery: "..."
"Dad, isn’t this great?" Brooke Black said, "Isn’t this what you’ve been wanting to see?"
"It is quite good. I didn’t say it’s not," Old Master Black replied earnestly, then patted the Great General beside him, adding wistfully, "I reckon it won’t be long before I can hold a child~"
After saying that, Old Master Black happily took the Great General’s family out for a walk.
Peter Gingery sat there, chuckling to himself, "Little Jane is acting. She wants to have children, but it might still be a few years. After all, it’s my brother who’s older, not little Jane. I think little Jane isn’t in a hurry."
"That’s where you’re wrong." Brooke Black shook her head, "That girl Jane isn’t all about her career. If she had to choose between work and family, she would absolutely choose family. Also, these days are not like the old times. Haven’t you seen how loving Jane and your brother are now?"
Although Jane Sampson isn’t all about romance, James Black occupies a very important place in her heart.
James wants to have children, and Jane herself isn’t opposed to it, so in Brooke’s view, Old Master Black is right. Before long, there might be a little child in the house.
If this were before, Jane Sampson didn’t like James Black, and James didn’t necessarily have any romantic feelings for Jane Sampson. Whether they would have children in this lifetime would have been uncertain.
Brooke Black glanced at Peter Gingery, smiling meaningfully, before taking her husband to the upper floor.
Peter Gingery was creeped out by that last look from Brooke, always having a bad feeling.
More than an hour after leaving the Black Residence, Jane Sampson and James Black returned home.
The first thing upon returning home, James Black went to the kitchen to boil water, while Jane Sampson made a call to James Carter.
The phone rang a few times before James Carter answered with a hoarse voice.
Jane Sampson immediately grew concerned, "Brother, are you catching a cold?"
"Yeah, a little. The temperature difference between morning and night is quite big. I didn’t pay attention and caught a chill," James Carter explained, fearing Jane Sampson would worry, so he added, "Just a slight cold. I’ve already taken medicine, so no problem."
"Don’t try to cool off too much. It’s cold over there in the mornings and nights. If you’re out for long, have your assistant bring you a coat." Jane Sampson immediately transformed into a little old woman, starting to fuss over James Carter, "Take a thermos cup when you go out, brew some chrysanthemum tea. The weather over there is still quite dry now. Chrysanthemum tea is good for the throat, good for the body, and good for the voice."
Patiently listening until Jane Sampson finished speaking, James Carter smiled and asked, "Did you call me for something?"
Only then did Jane Sampson exclaim, "Oh!"
If James hadn’t asked, she might have hung up the call without remembering to say what she intended.
"Brother, my grandfather and everyone feel like Jillian Carter’s state has been a bit off lately. When you and mom have time, please take her to see a psychologist."
Jane Sampson paused, "There’s one more thing. It’s about West Crossing and JSY. I originally didn’t want you and dad and mom to know, because Jillian Carter started this herself."
