Chapter 1510: Chapter 1518: What do you want?
"Stop right there!"
Julie Sampton saw that Jane Sampson was actually about to leave, and hurriedly stood up to call out to Jane Sampson. Her voice carried a hint of urgency and even fear.
She couldn’t let Jane Sampson leave just like that. If Jane Sampson really left now, then her whole life would truly be ruined.
"Jane Sampson, you can boldly claim that the Black Family doesn’t owe us anything, but what about you?" Julie Sampton stepped forward and directly blocked Jane Sampson’s path, saying, "The Black Family doesn’t owe us, but you, Jane Sampson, you owe me, and you owe the Sampton Family. So what gives you the audacity to refuse so confidently!"
Father Sampton stood off to the side, glanced at Julie, thought for a moment, then said nothing and sat back down, letting Julie block Jane Sampson’s way.
"I owe you? And owe the Sampton Family?" Jane Sampson sneered.
"Jane Sampson, why? You have the nerve to say you owe me nothing, and owe the Sampton Family nothing? If it weren’t for you, would I have been stranded outside, living such a hard life? If it weren’t for you, why would I have endured such a miserable childhood, why would I have been separated from daddy and mommy? This is what you owe me, and what you owe this family!"
Julie Sampton said, "Jane Sampson, I know that after you married James Black, you never treated this house as your home. You can’t wait to sever ties and never come back, am I right? Jane Sampson, you want to leave? The Sampton Family can’t keep you, but as a human, you should have a conscience."
Jane Sampson didn’t respond. She stood there quietly and listened to Julie Sampson speak.
It wasn’t until then that Jane Sampson finally sneered and asked, "Just tell me directly what you want."

"I don’t want much, Jane Sampson, as long as you help me marry into the Chip Family, consider that repayment for the Sampton Family’s favor. After that, you’ll have nothing to do with the Sampton Family, you won’t owe me, or owe this family anymore." Julie Sampson looked at Jane Sampson with an air of superiority. "Think of it as you repaying the Sampton Family for all these years of nurturing you."
"Julie!" Mother Sampton was a bit shocked. She truly hadn’t expected Julie Sampson to suddenly say such a thing.
Not only was Mother Sampton stunned, but Father Sampton was as well.
"Dad, Mom, I am your biological daughter. Can’t you see that by now? A foster daughter is always just a foster daughter. You can’t ever truly raise her to be part of our family—it’s impossible to make her one of us." Julie Sampson turned to look at Father Sampton. "Dad, don’t feel bad about giving up such good in-laws and a son-in-law like James Black. Once I marry into the Chip Family, the benefits you’ll get from the Chip Family will far exceed the crumbs the Black Family throws your way."
Julie Sampson knew that Father Sampson was most likely hesitating, but she also knew that Jane Sampson definitely wouldn’t help her. If she didn’t bring up repaying the family and cutting ties entirely, Jane Sampson would leave the Sampton Family without looking back.
"Also, you need to hand over the shares of the Sampton Family that grandpa and grandma gave you back to dad. Once I get married, once dad takes back the shares, then you, Jane Sampson, will have no connection to our family anymore." Julie Sampson said, "How’s that? This deal should be something you can’t wait to accept, right?"
Bright Sampton sat there with his hands clenched in fists. For a moment, he was tempted to punch Julie Sampson.
But he kept reminding himself to endure it. For his sister’s sake, he had to endure.
Finally, Jane Sampson moved.
She slowly turned around and cast her gaze toward the people sitting on the sofa.
Mother Sampson’s face was slightly pale. Bright Sampton, who was beside her, was gripping his mobile phone, punching his own head, and staying silent. Father Sampton, meanwhile, looked hesitant and unsure.
