"Alright." Kane Forest agreed readily, and his mood lightened dramatically almost instantly.

Relieved, Jane Sampson and Quincy Forest relaxed. After the dishes arrived, Jane Sampson nestled her phone under the table to secretly message Quincy Forest on WhatsApp.

"Does your cousin have this weird habit of showing off his wealth? [Shocked]——James Black’s wife."

"I’m as shocked as you are. I guess that’s the CEO’s bottom line—never be underestimated. Throwing down the bill and showing who’s boss probably feels quite macho to these straight guys, right? ——Everyday’s a little princess."

Whether it was macho or not, Jane Sampson didn’t quite get it, but she was undeniably a bit terrified.

Unexpectedly, just as Jane hung up, Bright Sampton’s phone call came through—but he wasn’t the one making the call.
