Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Rescuing Summer Lancaster

"Don’t hurt her. I’ll meet your demands!" Kenneth stood calmly by the window, staring out at the pitch-black scene. ’It’s been long enough. The time I’ve spent stalling him is more than enough to track his location. Now, it’s time for the rescue.’

A charming smile touched Asher’s lips. "Is that so? I’ll be waiting." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

The moment the call ended, Ronan Jenkins burst through the door, looking urgently at Kenneth. "Track successful! A villa on Kael Mountain!"

Kenneth turned around, his dark pupils radiating an endless bloodlust.

"Good. Call them back. It’s time to fight."

Before the break of dawn, a helicopter joined the stars dotting the sky, soaring through the air like a bright lantern illuminating the night.

"Boss, target spotted!" Dominic Thorne said, piloting the helicopter as he saw the lights on the mountaintop.

Kenneth slid the helicopter’s door open. A powerful gust of wind instantly blasted in, threatening to swallow them whole, but no one was afraid. Kenneth stared at the faint specks of light in the distance. ’Summer must be there. Don’t be afraid. I’m coming to save you now.’

"Don’t fly all the way to the summit, we don’t want to tip them off. We’ll get off here. Dominic, you monitor the surrounding area and provide support."

"Right!" Everyone acknowledged the order, rappelled down the ropes from the helicopter, and made their way from the mountainside to the summit.

Security at the mountaintop villa was tight. A patrol passed through the courtyard approximately every five minutes. They observed from the outside for a long time. With such heavy security, a frontal assault seemed impossible. They would have to outsmart them.

Ronan Jenkins and Sean Murphy scaled the back wall and drew the patrol’s attention. Instantly, alarms blared, and everyone gave chase. At that moment, Kenneth evaded the security cameras and entered the villa through the main entrance. He didn’t have much time; once Ronan and Sean were spotted, the enemy would immediately realize it was a diversion.

With agile movements, Kenneth slipped through a window and went straight to the second floor. He entered a room that appeared to be a study, filled with many old books. One volume, a family history, caught his attention. He walked to the bookshelf, picked up the book, and began to flip through it. But outside, it sounded like they were hunting for him; many people were shouting in the hallway.

Kenneth closed the book, tucked it into his jacket, and ran to the window, hanging upside down from the frame just as someone entered to check the room. They didn’t spot him. He moved along the outside of the windows, surveying all the rooms on the second floor, but he found no sign of Summer Lancaster or Asher. Kenneth glanced at his watch. ’Time is running out. Where the hell are they?’

After entering the villa grounds, Ronan Jenkins and Sean Murphy deliberately exposed themselves to view. All the patrol guards swarmed toward them, forming a circle. The two stood back-to-back, drew their guns, and faced the enemy.

I trust you, so I give you my back. This was the unbreakable oath between them.

A man who appeared to be the leader stepped into the center, scowling at the two unfamiliar Asian faces. "Who are you? Why are you here?" he demanded in fluent Francelian.

Ronan Jenkins sneered. "I never thought I’d find lapdogs from Francelia on Ameris soil!" He spoke in Francelian. Hearing this, the man grew even angrier, fell back, and gave the order: "Kill them all!"

Everyone raised their pistols and aimed, but Ronan Jenkins and Sean Murphy just laughed. They raised their own guns and, before the guards could fire, successfully took them all down, breaking through the encirclement and closing in on the Francelian.

"Where is your master!" Ronan Jenkins demanded, pressing his gun to the Francelian’s head.
