Chapter 683: Chapter 463 Mysterious Ship_2

Never underestimate this inconspicuous wooden raft in the Sea of Consciousness, but as long as it absorbs enough Mysterious Ship cores, let alone destroyers, evolving into battleships or even aircraft carriers is a breeze.

However, at this moment, the newly born wooden raft, aside from allowing one to float on the water, had no other abilities.

After digesting the information in his mind, Dong Tianyu felt more than ever that Blue Star was now transforming into a game-like world, especially with the appearance of this little wooden raft in his mind, which was reminiscent of those lawn-mowing games. By continuously eliminating Mysterious Ships, players could upgrade and evolve their wooden rafts, which was a pattern similar to many games Dong Tianyu had played before.

But even if Dong Tianyu’s guess was true, what then? Let’s not even mention the current state of Blue Star, in ordinary worlds of immortals and martial arts, unless it was a primeval world where Spiritual Treasures were as common as dirt, majority of such worlds wouldn’t reach the point of gifting Companion Spiritual Treasures at every meeting.

Even though the initial-level Companion Spiritual Treasures were subpar, they were still capable of entering the Sea of Consciousness. Should it be noted that even now, without Dong Tianyu’s Cave, he wouldn’t have a proper place to store a massive Magical Weapon like the Wave Rider (reforged after reaching the Golden Core Stage).

After considering many things, Dong Tianyu decisively dispelled those thoughts from his mind. Relying on his current strength to live securely was already quite good; there was no need for other concerns.

Having sorted out all his thoughts, Dong Tianyu directly opened the airplane’s hatch and, without carrying any equipment, leapt down. The moment his body left the plane, Dong Tianyu collected the airplane into his Storage Space.

After enjoying a moment of free-falling unconstrained in the high air, a Flying Sword instantly appeared beneath Dong Tianyu’s feet, which then performed a 360-degree turn in the air with him.

It cancelled the downward momentum from the free fall and thereafter, descended gently with Dong Tianyu onto the water’s shimmering surface, where Dong Tianyu released the wooden raft from his Sea of Consciousness.

Under Dong Tianyu’s mental control, a very primitive small wooden raft appeared on the surface of the water.

Dong Tianyu looked at the raft in front of him, made of a few planks nailed together that could barely be called a raft, and doubted in his heart whether this rudimentary object could bear his weight.

Although he was somewhat reluctant, since he had come this far, he wouldn’t be at ease without personally trying it out.

Controlling the Flying Sword to hover above the raft, he first lowered one foot to test the raft’s load-bearing capacity.

What Dong Tianyu didn’t expect was that the primitive wooden raft, constructed from simple planks with many gaping holes in the middle, didn’t let any water seep through the gaps when he stepped on it with one foot.

After the initial single-foot test confirmed that the cracks on top of the raft didn’t leak, Dong Tianyu removed his other foot from the Flying Sword, with both feet now standing on the raft.

Although Dong Tianyu clearly understood that this small wooden raft was a Companion Spiritual Treasure, its appearance alone made it hard to believe in its capability to carry people.

As Dong Tianyu stood with both feet on the wooden raft, he also noticed its extraordinary aspects. Logically, as the raft merely floated on the water’s surface and didn’t have the hull of a boat around it,

the slightest wave should have, at the very least, dampened the top of the raft, even if not flipping it over. Yet, no matter how big the waves around were, the surface of the water by the raft remained calm, unaffected by the ocean’s waves.

Seeing this, Dong Tianyu began to understand the extraordinariness of the wooden raft. However, the total surface area of the raft floating on the water was less than two square meters, allowing at most for Dong Tianyu to sit cross-legged on it, without even enough room to lie down at an angle.

Faced with this situation, Dong Tianyu had no choice but to stand on the Flying Sword again. With a thought, the small wooden raft that had been floating on the water’s surface vanished in an instant. Looking at the raft now in the Sea of Consciousness, joy appeared on Dong Tianyu’s face.

Following that, Dong Tianyu controlled the Flying Sword to ascend immediately, spread out his Divine Sense high up in the sky, and—now that he had hope—Dong Tianyu could no longer stay idle; the thought of retrieving Wave Rider from the Cave vanished in an instant.

For Dong Tianyu at that moment, forget the comfortable environment inside Wave Rider; even the role-playing game involving Walker Violet and Jasmine Anderson held no allure for him whatsoever.

What Dong Tianyu wanted most right now was to immediately destroy the core of the Mysterious Ship, allow the small raft in the Sea of Consciousness to absorb the energy released when the ship’s core was destroyed, and thereby enable the small raft to rapidly upgrade and evolve.

In the early stages of the cataclysm, the number of Mysterious Ships that appeared was actually not high. After searching for a long time while flying on his sword, Dong Tianyu finally spotted a Mysterious Ship aimlessly adrift on the water’s surface.

Seeing that the black aura emitted around the ship’s body was not as intense as the one from the Mysterious Ship Dong Tianyu had destroyed before, he didn’t hesitate and shot straight towards the ship’s deck.

When Dong Tianyu’s Sword Control brought him into the area enshrouded by the black aura, there was an instant shift in space and time. Dong Tianyu, who should have landed on the deck, instead found himself above a grandstand.

Dong Tianyu conducted a scan with his Divine Sense. The area covered by his Spiritual Sense Scanning was limited to the grandstand and the region only about ten meters in front of it.

Before Dong Tianyu could collect his thoughts, rows of seats suddenly appeared about ten meters away from the grandstand. Seeing this, Dong Tianyu immediately surmised that he must be above the stage now.

As the seats materialized, silhouettes also began to appear above them, and Dong Tianyu hadn’t expected that in the blink of an eye, the previously deserted area would become bustling with noise.

Just as Dong Tianyu was somewhat at a loss, several Ironclad Puppets appeared out of thin air from the emptiness behind the stage and walked into the center.

After these puppets entered the stage, they began to line up on both sides. Seeing this, Dong Tianyu didn’t make any rash moves but continued to stand on the Flying Sword, observing the situation on the stage from the air.

As more and more Ironclad Puppets joined them on the stage, these Metal Puppets slowly filled the entire stage. When there was no other space left for landing among the Metal Puppets.

Dong Tianyu merely blinked normally, and in an instant, he noticed that the scenery before him had abruptly changed.

The once Flying Sword-riding Dong Tianyu, who should have been above the stage, was now away from it, standing on the water’s surface, while the Mysterious Ship he had approached before was getting increasingly distant.

Upon realizing this, Dong Tianyu couldn’t help but express his annoyance, "Am I being rejected? Not even a heads-up before kicking me out? So impolite."

Finding himself inadvertently away from the Mysterious Ship, Dong Tianyu felt speechless and once again rushed towards the departing ship with his sword.

During Dong Tianyu’s second entry into the black mist, he once again saw the stage, the seats in front reappeared, and the indistinct figures reemerged.

Then, the Ironclad Puppets once again emerged from the back of the stage. However, this time, Dong Tianyu did not wait on his sword in mid-air; instead, he directly jumped down to the stage.

As soon as Dong Tianyu stood at the center of the stage, the previously neatly lined-up Ironclad Puppets instantly charged towards his position.

Watching the puppets rush towards him, Dong Tianyu couldn’t help but scoff, "I knew it would be like this, absolutely no originality."

Subsequently, Dong Tianyu grabbed a puppet that approached him and hurled it forcefully towards the seating area below.
