Chapter 397: Chapter 397: Pocket Dimension
Rumius the Doberman was ’meditating’ but Selina felt like the dog had completely passed out. It lay on the ground with its head on the side.
The Goth girl touched its nose. Its jaw opened up and its tongue stuck out without any resistance.
"Are you sure he’s alive?" Selina said.
"Of course. He’s fine. He’s just synthesizing his True Dust to the new body."
Bash, in his child form, approached Rumius and shook the dog. He was still out cold and didn’t even react.
"Rum is dead." Bash said.
The black cat rolled his eyes. "Rum isn’t dead. Just pick him up and carry him with us. We have work to do."
"Alrighty then." Bash picked up the huge Doberman and carried it on his shoulder. The dog was even bigger than the kid but the kid didn’t even seem to be struggle at all.
"Where are we going?" Selina said.
"I picked up some residue foreign energy in Vieta. Probably the remnants of Zatanu’s force." The black cat stroked his whiskers.
"What should we do with this place, Master?"
"Eh. Let Sparrow and Evelynn handle it. Tell them to take over the city. This entire country is a natural formation of Nether Rocks. It is very valuable."
"Roger that, Master." Aurora nodded. Shen then pressed her finger on her temple, connecting with Sparrow and Evelynn via telepathy.
Deep within Vieta was a mountain range spanning across multiple counties. This mountain range didn’t have that much Nether Rocks compared to the seaside area, but Mater could feel the power of the hell of darkness most concentrated here.
"Zatanu won’t give up. He would find a way to get back Vieta. I know he will." The black cat and his group landed at the mountain range.
Bash was still carrying Rumius on his shoulder.
"We need to make sure his influence is completely removed." The black cat meowed.
They approached the foothill of the mountain range where a high brick wall stationed. There was no door nor an entrance.
"This is the place?" Aurora raised her hand.
A giant spear of ice formed and shot toward the high brick wall. Patterns appeared on the brick and neutralized the attack entirely.
"Woah. Aurora’s attack is infused with Death Ice. And yet the wall can block it?" Crow rubbed his chin. "We might need your help to get through, Master."
"Obviously." The black cat took out his Shifting Fire Wand.
He switched it to Holy Mode and used Nether Homing Beam.
The purple beam was now a bright white beam of concentrated Fate. It zigzagged in the air and slammed on the brick wall. The patterns on the wall appeared once more but was quickly disintegrating away. The wall crumbled onto the ground.
"Always works!" The black cat blew off the smoke on the tip of his wand.
The group entered the brick wall. They felt a certain nausea coming up to their throat.
"Teleportation?" Selina frowned.
"Nah. It’s just a pocket dimension." The black cat meowed.
Inside the brick wall was an entire different world. The sky was high, but not as high as the Abyss Floor. It was filled with dark stars that constantly shifting in the black veil of the night. The place was without light and was filled with endless dead trees.
"Huh. This place actually looks very similar to the Abyss Floor." Crow looked around and said.
"It should be. Both the Abyss Floor and this pocket dimension are modeled after the hell of darkness. Although, the Abyss Floor has many more deviation from its inspiration." The black cat meowed.
As soon as they entered, Shadow Abominations emerged from the ground. Grotesque shadow zombies with most of their skins gone, showing the dark bone inside their body.
Crow wagged his fingers. Nether Weapons appeared around him and shot at the Abominations. Explosions after explosions appeared in front of them.
Those were only Rank-1 and Rank-2 Abominations. They were no match for the original three servants, which were all Rank-3 now.
"I’m going to scout the area. Take care of them, Aurora." Crow jumped up to the sky and split into many different crows.
He had gained many types of power after reaching Rank-3. One of them was the power of cloning himself. It was very similar to Water Clones, Mater’s spell, but with much better applications.
Aurora took Crow’s position and constantly conjuring Death Ice to sweep the Abominations in the front.
The group slowly trod forward.
After a while, they noticed a giant large tree blocking the way.
"Who dares infiltrate the domain of Master Zatanu?!" The tree stood up and turned toward Mater’s group.
It was a large tree with a hideous face carved onto its body.
"Heh. This one is kind of lookalike to Sparrow." The black cat meowed.
The tree radiated dark Nether Energy. With a pull, many more shadows rose from the ground. These didn’t have a body however and were pure shadows.
Bash dropped Rumius on the ground and stepped forward. He removed the Blood Mask.
The small child instantly enlarged into the gigantic red demon.
Bash tapped his chest constantly. "Come! Come! Come!"
Aurora moved her fingers gently. More Glacial Glances appeared in the air. She didn’t use Whitestorm because it might interfere with Bash’s power.
Bash charged forward.
"Fool! How can a mere Minor Rank-3 hurt me?" The tree cackled loudly.
Bash broke through the layers of shadows and slammed onto the tree. He uprooted the tree and flung it to the side.
Aurora drew in the air with her index and middle fingers. Glacial Glances shot forward and pierced the dark trees into a sponge. Then a large Glacial Pillar shot up, splitting it in two.
"Why so weak?" Bash roared.
Aurora collected the Chaos Singularity from with the dark tree.
"Hold onto dark, Aurora. You three need to advance as well." The black cat meowed.
Aurora nodded. She threw the Chaos Singularity in her mouth.
Bash continued to tapped his chest. More dark trees stood up. Each was a Medium or Major Rank-3.
The Infernal Demon didn’t worry. It only smiled wider.
"Yes! More!"
The Dark Grimoire flew out from the black cat’s mouth. It enlarged into a portal.
"Let me get you guys some helping hands."
Solarix and Lucyna stepped out. One was an Infernal Revenant. The other was a Glacial Revenant.
