Chapter 1015: Chapter 1014: If You Have Good Genes, You Should Have More Kids

Madam Bo glanced at him, feeling a bit speechless: "At your age..."

Bo Nianyao lowered his head and spoke gently: "Nianyao is indeed getting old, but madam is still as radiant as ever."

His words made the lady’s heart happy, but she still pretended to be upset: "Where did you learn to be so slick?"

Bo Nianyao chuckled lightly: "Isn’t it usually our little one who sweet-talks you into happiness? Why doesn’t it work when I say it?"

Madam Bo gave him another sideways glance, her eyes teasingly seductive.

The couple was deeply in love.

Early the next morning, Gu Anxi was lying on the pillow asleep when she heard noises downstairs. She rubbed her eyes, "Bo Mama and the others are already up, can’t they sleep a little more?"

Bo Xichen also found it unsurprising, as he glanced at the clock on the bedside table. It was only six o’clock.

It was indeed a bit early.

He patted Gu Anxi: "I’ll go take a look downstairs."

"I’ll go too," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck, her eyes twinkling brightly.

He smiled: "Okay, then get up and have breakfast, and you can take a nap again later."

She hummed in agreement, changed into casual clothes, washed her face, and went downstairs with Bo Xichen. As soon as they reached the stairs, they saw Madam Bo directing the servants to load luggage into the car outside the door. She immediately shouted: "Are you leaving?"

Madam Bo looked up, saw her, and smiled: "The old man isn’t used to the climate here; his back and legs are always in pain. Someone has to accompany him back. Besides, the house can’t be left without anyone."

Gu Anxi ran over, hugged her, resting her small head on her shoulder.

She just couldn’t bear to part.

Madam Bo chuckled, "You’re already married and still so clingy."

She looked at her son, pretending to scold: "Xichen, this is your fault."

Bo Xichen smiled slightly and said nothing.

Madam Bo patted the small one, gently saying: "I’ll come again in a while, or you can let Xichen visit Beicheng when he’s free. Beicheng has so many little friends; you can’t just stay away forever, right?"

Gu Anxi hummed, looking a bit downcast.

Madam Bo smiled at her for a moment before saying: "I see you don’t dislike Mingzhu anymore; when you have time, go shopping with her. Young girls always have things to talk about, and besides, she’s alone now. Are you really going to leave her to Qin Siyuan and not bother?"

The little one didn’t say a word.

Madam Bo didn’t say much either. She’s a clever child and doesn’t require much concern.

Later, although reluctant, they saw them off to the airport, naturally with Bo Xichen driving. Bo Nianyao didn’t go, probably because he couldn’t bear it.

On the way back, Gu Anxi sat in the front passenger seat, remaining silent.

Bo Xichen drove casually, asking her: "Are you really not going?"

"To what?"

He chuckled softly: "I mean, tomorrow is Qin Siyuan and Gu Mingzhu’s wedding. Are you really not going?"

"I’m not going." Gu Anxi exclaimed: "It’s awkward for me to go. One is my..., and the other is my uncle. You should understand, right?"

He still smiled slightly, not forcing her.

Seeing him silent, Gu Anxi bit her finger and whispered: "I’m just being petty."

He touched her head, not saying anything further.

Actually, he understood she wasn’t being petty but was concerned.

Gu Mingzhu getting married into the Qin family, it was best not to get Anxi involved. The Qin and Gu families have some irreconcilable past, not going might actually be better.

As he drove, he said softly: "Then I’ll come back earlier to keep you company?"

She gave a small nod, looking well-behaved.

Bo Xichen glanced at her, his eyes a bit complicated. She whispered: "What are you looking at me for?"

He chuckled softly: "Just thinking about the old days when I first met you."

Gu Anxi looked at him again, muttering: "Bo Xichen, you’re quite perverse."

He laughed: "Do you know what I’m thinking?"

"Nope." Gu Anxi made a face at him, and then mumbled to herself: "Do you think Lu Ze might finally come to his senses and bring money to ask for my help?"

That’s been her motivation to go to the company these past couple of days!

Bo Xichen found it amusing, focusing on driving while letting her off at home and then went to the lab with Bo Nianyao. The little one supported herself on the stairs to go upstairs, rubbing her waist: "Even though there are so many KPIs to chase, naps are still the sweetest."

To prevent any phone calls, she turned off her phone and slept, having been exhausted for several days. When she woke up, it was already noon. The housekeeper’s knocking finally woke her up.

Gu Anxi got out of the bed, opened the door, yawning as she asked: "Aunty, is it noon already?"

The housekeeper smiled: "Yes, it is. It’s because the young master called, telling you to get up and eat."

Gu Anxi mumbled softly: "My young uncle, so young and already like a housewife."

The housekeeper covered her mouth with a smile: "You’re saying this against your conscience."

After speaking, she cheerfully went downstairs, saying as she walked: "The madam also instructed me to take good care of you."

Gu Anxi nodded: "I know, I know."

She closed the door and went downstairs to eat. The housekeeper ate with her, and they chatted about family matters, eventually talking about the housekeeper’s daughter. It turns out her daughter is getting married next month.

"My eldest daughter got married abroad; she’s busy with work and might not make it to the wedding, but she sent a gift from abroad." The housekeeper described the gift, her face glowing warmly.

Gu Anxi listened patiently; she quite liked hearing these stories. Later, she asked: "The one getting married must be very happy, right?"

"Of course." The housekeeper smiled: "They’ve had a good relationship since they were little."

Gu Anxi nodded, then focused on eating, and the housekeeper served her food: "Eat more of this, and have a small bowl of soup. Women need to drink more nourishing soup, so you can give the young master more children. With you and the young master having such good genes, it would be a pity not to have more."

Gu Anxi smiled: "Good genes mean having more kids?"

"Exactly," the housekeeper smiled, eyes crinkling: "The kids born will be beautiful and lovable, and you and the young master should work harder."

Gu Anxi suddenly felt awkward - but working hard wouldn’t help, as her young uncle didn’t seem ready for her to have kids just yet. Actually, she kind of wanted a child now. Life was a bit boring, and having a child to play with would be nice.

In the afternoon, she drove to the company. Manager Ma handled most things, so she was quite free. Manager Ma would only call her if he couldn’t handle something.

She played games at the company for half a day, then thought about calling Assistant Tang over.

She looked at Assistant Tang, frowning: "You tell me - what’s a good gift to give someone for their wedding?"

Assistant Tang smiled slightly: "That depends on who the person is."
