Zhou Bai covered his nose, controlling the light stone as it illuminated the interior of the room. The morgue he had seen before reappeared in Zhou Bai’s sight.

But now, the morgue was devoid of the rows of body bags, making it look extremely empty.

Zhou Bai stood at the entrance, glanced around, and found nothing, then stepped forward and walked into the morgue.

With the power of Primordial Spirit sweeping around, the surroundings quickly became clear in Zhou Bai’s mind.

Under the scrutiny of the Primordial Spirit’s power, a dark stain in the center of the room emitted a strange odor under the illumination of the light stone.

As Zhou Bai approached, he was met with a foul smell.

"What is this?"

But as Zhou Bai reached the stain, the light in front of him changed. When he regained his senses, the whole morgue had changed again.

Ghastly green lights, rows of neatly arranged body bags.

"Here we go again," Zhou Bai’s eyelid twitched, "What’s going on? I didn’t go to that bathroom, could it be that coming here triggers these changes too?"

There were still eight minutes left until the ten-minute limit of Time Reverse.

Though confused, Zhou Bai decided to continue.

Christina: "What do you plan to do?"

"Let’s check these body bags," Zhou Bai walked to a body bag, "Considering the scale of the Sixth Hospital, there shouldn’t be so many bodies. Moreover, that strange person carrying the bodies also caught my attention."

Inside his mind, a frightened Christina quickly covered her eyes.

But Zhou Bai had already used the power of Primordial Spirit to open a body bag and found an ordinary young man lying inside.

He furrowed his brow: "Nothing special."

He hurriedly opened another body bag, then another, and another…

In the eerie morgue, Zhou Bai walked among the bodies, manipulating the power of Primordial Spirit to pull out each one.

Until all the bags were opened, rows of bodies appeared under the ghastly green light, emitting a chilling aura.

"This is too strange," Zhou Bai looked at the faces of the bodies. At first, he didn’t notice anything, but as he uncovered body after body, he realized many looked exactly alike.

The second odd thing was that many of the bodies had some kind of deformity.

Some had arms that were too short, others had mismatched eyes, and some had legs of different lengths…

As the atmosphere grew more sinister, Christina couldn’t help but shiver and said, "When can we get out of here? It feels so terrifying."

Zhou Bai shook his head: "Wait a bit longer, there are some things I still can’t figure out."

Meanwhile, Zhou Bai’s Primordial Spirit power swept back and forth through the room, checking for any other clues.

Just then, another sound came from the direction of the corridor.

Zhou Bai quickly crawled over and heard the sound of the elevator opening followed by footsteps and voices.

Female voice: "Another person has died."

Male voice: "The killer still hasn’t been found."

Female voice: "It’s too dangerous... Shut down the hospital immediately."

Male voice: "But my experiment isn’t finished yet, come see my results..."

Female voice: "If this continues, everyone in the hospital will be in danger."

The next moment, as the footsteps passed through the main door and entered the morgue, the two voices and the footsteps vanished, as if they had stepped into another world.

Zhou Bai furrowed his brows, "Murder? Killer? I’ve been thinking, could these sounds be from events that happened in this hospital before?"

"I don’t know," Christina replied with uncertainty, "but it sounds like they were talking about a serial killer case here? Are these bodies in body bags those of the victims?"

Zhou Bai climbed back to the floor, expanding his Primordial Spirit inch by inch towards the ground.

Christina asked, "What are you looking for?"

"Those two voices just now, they mentioned they were conducting experiments, right?" Zhou Bai said. "I haven’t found any place in this room for experiments, so there might be a secret chamber here."

While speaking, Zhou Bai’s eyes suddenly brightened, "Found it."

Under the exploration of his Primordial Spirit, he finally found a hollow space behind a wall.

Unable to find a way to open the secret chamber, Zhou Bai directly exerted his Primordial Spirit to break through the wall.

But, just like his previous encounter in the restroom, the wall remained unscathed despite his attacks.

Only with the collision between his palm and the wall, a loud ’bang’ sounded, echoing through the darkness like the toll of a temple bell.

Zhou Bai glanced at the time; six minutes remained. Just as he was about to look for a switch, the sound of chains clanging continuously came from the corridor behind him, followed by the noise of coffins being opened and falling to the ground.

Zhou Bai’s expression slightly changed, "Is it those coffins tied with chains?"

Meanwhile, figures started walking down the corridor toward Zhou Bai. Seeing them, his complexion changed; they all bore a striking resemblance to Doctor Zhuang, although with slight differences in body sizes and all of them deformed.

The figures walked unsteadily toward Zhou Bai, looking as if they had not walked in a long time.

Their eyes wide open, they gazed at Zhou Bai with ferocious expressions, filled with malice.

A few of them ran towards the workbench and picked up the cleavers lying there.

Zhou Bai swiftly dropped to the ground, croaking loudly, immediately employing a crouching frog technique.

’Was I inexplicably stabbed to death by these guys before? Is the so-called murder also their doing?’ Zhou Bai shouted in his mind, ’Tina!’

Christina had already manipulated pink Sword Qi, shooting it out from Zhou Bai’s mouth and swirling around his body.

Next moment, the mutants swarmed him, and Zhou Bai continued to accumulate power.

Christina’s pink Sword Qi swept through, slicing several mutants in two.

Christina remarked, "These guys are so weak."

Then, one mutant with eyes as large as eggs rushed forward, grabbed Zhou Bai’s hand, and bit down hard.

Zhou Bai paid no attention and continued to accumulate power.

"Splash!"

"Not very weak, huh?!"

Under Zhou Bai’s shocked and furious gaze, his defensive power seemed nonexistent as the creature bit off a large chunk of flesh. He cried out in pain, Primordial Spirit bursting forth, intending to sweep all the surrounding mutants away.

However, when the Primordial Spirit swept through, the mutants had no reaction; they completely ignored the Primordial Spirit and pounced on Zhou Bai, biting into his body.

Time Reverse...

Zhou Bai opened his eyes to the dark, gloomy hospital, his expression extremely ugly.

He still remembered being bitten by several mutants just moments ago.

Christina wondered, "How could this be? I clearly cut down each of those guys with a single sword strike, they were so weak."

Zhou Bai pondered, "Is my defensive power not working? It seemed the same before, could it be because of the hospital’s anomalies?"

Looking at the dark, dilapidated hospital in front of him, although Zhou Bai was filled with curiosity and doubt, he decided to withdraw for now, planning to wait for the next cooldown period.
