Chapter 65: Is This the Imperial City?!

Sunrise was currently mealtime for cultivators before they headed out to hunt in the wilderness, and this restaurant was obviously very popular because there was not a single empty seat in sight. Thus, the group of four stood at the head of the stairs, casting their gazes all over the place as they searched for an empty table.

A waiter approached them and seemed to explain something. Yet after a short while, he walked over to Darius and said, "Honorable customer, could you give up your table?"

Darius frowned and asked, "Why do I have to give up my table?"

"Er... Honorable customer, do you not know who those four are? That’s Young Master Ethan and his friends. They are not to be trifled with. I am asking this for your own good." The waiter looked at Darius with a shocked expression, clearly surprised that Darius did not know who Young Master Ethan was.

"No, and I don’t intend to know," Darius shook his head. "Serve the dishes quickly. Perhaps after I have dined for about an hour, I’ll leave, and there will be an empty spot by then."

About an hour?

The waiter gave a bitter smile. If he really had to wait for an hour, then Young Master Ethan would probably have their restaurant torn apart. However, first come, first served. That was the most basic rule. If the restaurant could not even guarantee this, then who would want to come here to dine in the future?

He could only force himself to speak with Young Master Ethan. After a while, Young Master Ethan and his friends approached Darius with steady footsteps, as though trying to instill fear in his heart before they even reached the table.

It was a tactic used by many, and Darius did not pay any attention to it.

"Poor fool, take these one hundred silver coins and get lost," Young Master Ethan commanded, a disdainful expression on his face.

A monetary note was tossed onto the table. It was indeed worth one hundred silver coins. It should be known that electronic transactions were what most people used on both Earth and in the Sanctuary, but egoistic people loved to flaunt their wealth using monetary notes merely to attract attention and boost their egos.

Darius gave a faint smile. Since someone was deliberately giving him money, then he would naturally not refuse. He said, "Waiter, did you hear that? Someone is treating me to a meal, so why don’t you quickly serve some fine wine and dishes?"

"F***!" Young Master Ethan was extremely furious. This brat had accepted his money and was still not getting lost? He placed his right hand on the table and threatened, "Poor fool, if you don’t want to get beaten up, you’d better get lost quickly!"

In Dragon City, in a public place, even a prodigal young master like him would not dare openly threaten someone’s life.

Darius turned his head to the left, then to the right, and asked, "Where is this barking coming from? Woof, woof, what an irritating noise!" While his strength wasn’t particularly great, he truly hated arrogant brats the most. It was simply in his blood.

These people, instead of fighting demons, spent their time fighting other humans and flaunting their egos. Darius secretly swore that once he killed more demons and advanced his cultivation, he would do his best to rid humanity of this cancer.

Still, the panel didn’t flicker, which meant Young Master Ethan wasn’t truly evil, merely self-centered, so Darius held himself back. He didn’t fear nobles. In the worst-case scenario, he could simply flee back to the Pavilion. What, would they send a Fourth Realm expert after him? Laughable. That was the realm of generals. If such people existed on every street corner, humanity would not be cornered within a small portion of the Sanctuary.

A "puchi!" sound was suddenly heard. Someone had failed to hold back their laughter. The sound was crisp and pleasant, carrying a captivating quality that could not be described with mere words, instantly causing quite a number of people to turn toward its source.

The person who had laughed was an extremely beautiful young woman, about twenty-three or twenty-four years old. Her black hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall, and her features seemed as though they had been carefully sculpted. This woman possessed a very unique bearing.

Because she was seated, there was no way to see how shapely her figure truly was, but judging by her ample curves, one could already tell that her figure was impressive.

For a moment, everyone was stunned by her beauty. What was even stranger was that such an outstanding beauty had been sitting there for so long, yet they had only noticed her now. They quickly realized the reason why. A piece of light muslin rested on the table before her. Most likely, when she had entered the restaurant, her face had been veiled. It was only after she began eating that she removed it, which was why she had not attracted much attention earlier.

Moreover, this beauty was definitely not an ordinary person. There were three large, sturdy men dressed entirely in black seated at the same table. They did not display any particular expressions, but it was obvious they were her bodyguards. Only the beauty was eating, while the other three remained seated in a highly alert state. The reason they were not standing behind her was likely to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.

However, their cold expressions and uniform clothing were already enough to attract attention.

Young Master Ethan was also staring at the beauty and could not help but reveal a perverted expression. He asked, "Beauty, what’s your name?"

The beauty did not answer. Instead, one of the men in black waved a hand at Young Master Ethan as though shooing away a fly.

Ethan felt as though he was about to go crazy. Just moments ago, a young man had dared to ignore him, and now another person was waving him away as if he were some nuisance. What was going on here? Could it be that after a single night, Dragon City was no longer the Dragon City he knew?

Had he somehow teleported to the Imperial City within the Sanctuary or something?

What the hell was going on here?!
