Chapter 89: The Ambush
"What?!" Ming Tao snapped. Like a spell was lifted out of his eyes, he pushed Mira away. He felt her slid out of him in that push and groaned in response.
Mira could not believe her eyes. What the actual fuck? She thought. "What is wrong, Ming Tao?" She could swear that he was just as interest as she was in mating.
"Are you trying to get me to breed with you, Mira?" Ming Tao asked, a red tint flashed across his face, giving his cheeks a flushed hue.
You think?! Mira barked in her mind. She was horny. She felt him inside of her and now she wanted more. "Do you not want to?"
Ming Tao looked away, embarrassment clawing up to him. "Is that why you came?" He questioned. Mira did not answer. The frown on her face spoke volumes and Ming Tao let out a sigh.
"I don’t-" He began. Mira lunged at him. She used her hands to push him back roughly but not so hard to leave a sore as his body collided on the stream’s end, and caged him against her form.
"No. I am going to sleep with you, whether you like it or not!" Mira raged. This man was impossible, she thought, one moment he was all over me and then the next, he is not, like he had a dual personality that snaps back to zap him out of it but not today! She ranted in her mind.
[Oh, this is fun.] System teased.
Not now, system, Mira said in her head. Her breath ravaged hard against the man in front of her as she stared at him. Ming Tao used a lazy hand to push her to the side and swam to the other end of the stream before Mira could react. He jumped out and grabbed his clothes.
"No. Not like this! I won’t let you use me!" Ming Tao yelled. He held his clothes in one hand and used another to hide his cock from her then scurried away.
Mira felt one of her eyes twitch at the incident that unfolded before her. It felt like a dream but it was real and bright as day. She just stayed in her naked mess and stared at the empty space that once bore her husband’s figure. This was the last straw. She would get him to mate even if it meant tying him to his own bed and she grinding on top of him.

It was early noon. Mira and Ming Tao had not interacted since the incident at the spring and she was curled up in his room, her head raking for the next possible time to ambush her husband and have him chained.
This was when a knock on her door interrupted her thoughts. Mira blinked. She lifted her head up to stare at the roughly joined door and parted her lips to speak. "Who is there?" She asked.
She did not expect it to be anybody other than the two people whose names she knew in this clan but she asked anyway. Since her husband was avoiding her, she expected him to be the least to show up to her face. Besides, Ming Tao would not knock to enter his own room.
"It is a subject of the mighty cheetah, Mira Yang." Trailed from behind the door.
Mira Yang, Mira reworded in her head, it had been a while since someone addressed her as that, in this world, only the old owner of this body’s mother referred to me by my full name. "Come on in." Mira said. Her voice was a dragged, heavy sigh.
The door was pushed open and a small figure followed through. Mira’s eyes widened. It was a child. A boy who looked no older than ten. Slim and slender frame with a little bit of height fitting for someone his age. This made the ends of Mira’s lips curl. A child. Finally. She was seeing a child who did not run from her.
The smile on her face made the child flinch. He stood by the door with his head faced down.
"What is your purpose for coming to see me, child?" Mira asked, her voice welcoming. You see that, Ming Tao? That could be our offspring in a few years but you don’t want to stick your giant dick inside of me and breed! Mira barked in her mind. Her thoughts were everywhere but she did not want to portray it outwardly, especially not to a kid.
"T. . .t" the child stammered. This made Mira’s brows furrow. His speech was fluent when he was behind that door and it hit her hard to know that her presence scared the child into forgetting how to speak.
"Please. Feel welcomed. I don’t bite." Mira used a finger to draw her mouth to the side to reveal her teeth, her own way of jesting.
The child shrieked on seeing that and began to quake in a spot.
Right. In this world, she was a fox and her teeth were not nicely trimmed and friendly looking. Mira cleared her throat. "Do you like meat, child? I happen to be very good at cooking."
The child bucked his head up to face her. He looked even more frightened than before. "Please don’t eat me. I have so much to live for." The child said.
Okay, this cub was so different from the kids in the lion clan and Mira had no meat to cook. Maybe she should have waited for that first. "I am not going to eat you. I don’t even like cheetah meat." Mira said to make him feel at ease. One look at this boy made her realise that her words scared him even more. "No, no. I have never eaten cheetahs to know what their meat tastes like. Your kind if not my preferred meal." Her sentence replayed in her head right after it left her lips and this made her realise that she just made the situation worse. The cub looked like he wanted to pee his fur.
He walked back out and clung onto the door. "The Mighty Cheetah requests for your presence and sent me to tell you. The entire cheetah clan is here and please don’t delay! It is urgent!" The cub gushed and ran out. The sound of the door coming shut against the wooden wall echoed in her room.
Well, there went her opportunity to win the heart of a child who would have told other children to come to her. Everything in the cheetah clan seemed harder than the lion clan and this clan is built on wood, now imagine if it was built on concrete instead!
This was a comparison to the lion clan. Mira sighed and stood up the bed. She did not know her way around this place but she would just walk out and look for a gathering of several people and assume that is where she was summoned to.
As she made her way to the door, the timer on the screen beamed red. The one that counted the days for her to teach the cheetahs farming.
Shoot! Mira’s eyes widened. She was so focused on getting Ming Tao to breed that she completely forgot about the other task. And that one had a much sooner expiration span than her mating with Ming Tao did.
Mira wanted to scream but she held it in. Her plans to cage her husband could wait, right now, she had an entire clan, or just a few of them to teach farming.
Operation saving the cheetah clan from extinction due to starvation, here I come! Mira thought as she came out of Ming Tao’s home. There could have not been a better timing than this. She could use this gathering of his to communicate with all the cheetahs and have them come and work.
They had a lot of land. She would use system to scan the soil productivity rate and purchase seeds from system shop. And then, they would either make farming tools or she would buy them. This had to work. And she would make it work.
Mira wandered around the coalition, looking for Ming Tao. Everywhere was desolate. She did not find a single being roaming around. It was almost as if these cheetahs were on lockdown.
"Hello?" Mira called, scanning her environment. "Anybody?" She raised her voice. This seemed like a prank. First, a child came to meet her and now no one was outside. How hard could it possibly be to find a group of cheetahs? "Anybody around? You guys dead? Still alive? Is there an apocalypse and did everyone run and leave me behind?" She asked, taking mainly to herself. Her tone was flat and bored. She was way too drained to play games with a cheetah cub.
Now that she thought about it, this could be some game.
Mira stopped moving and studied her environment. This was when a stone hit her on he shoulder.
"Ow!" Mira yelped. Her gaze traced the stone which was now on the floor. Another went her way. Then another. Now, it was raining tiny rocks on her.
"It is the demon! GET HER!!"
