Chapter 107: Intruders

Mira’s brows creased. "What do you mean?" She asked. Her attention was keen.

Jia Hao placed a hand on his chin and cupped it between two fingers. He had a serious look on his face as he repeated his words. "On the outskirts of the clan, there were traces of rubbed off paw marks on the ground. Almost like whoever left them did not want the paws to be linked to a different kind of animal and later to them. Then, the air smelt like fox. I did not think too much of it because of the friendly nature of all the carnivores in this beast region but now that you mentioned something sketchy happening I thought to mention it."

This made Mira’s heart thump violently against her chest. So the cheetahs were not at fault? They did not try to sabotage the farm just to pin it on her and make her leave the clan temporarily or be banished for good? And if this was the case, it would make a lot of sense why they all pointed fingers at her because they could confirm their innocence but they could not affirm hers.

Mira swallowed. If she was not with Ming Tao last night, she would be the greatest suspect of this dreadful thing but thankfully she was but there had not been any word of other wild animals making visitations nearby the cheetah clan not within so this was a very strange occurrence to follow. And the animal Jia Hao perceived was fox. She was the only fox within the region. The fox habitation was far away from the cheetah clan so if anyone was to pass by, the person would need a place to rest for the night and there would be no better place than here. All of this thinking was making Mira’s head hurt.

She was getting nowhere with these baseless conclusions. She also thought of no one who could fit into the picture. In fact, the only people she could think of were Yu Xuan and Shu Hua but those are not foxes.

"Thank you for telling me this, Jia Hao. I will let Ming Tao know and call off this meeting immediately." Mira said. If the cheetahs were innocent, being questioned as suspects for a crime they did not commit was cruel.

"I will send word to Ming Tao myself. You should rest." Jia Hao murmured.

Mira sighed. The last thing she wanted was to go back out there so she chose to listen. "Thank you." She said to Jia Hao.

"Please, it is always my pleasure." Jia Hao walked to her. He pulled her to him by her waist till her body rested against his and stared her straight in the eyes. Jia Hao used his hand to cup her jaw then slowly let his hand caress her cheek. "I have craved meeting you again. The pride is dreadfully unlively when you are not around."

Mira smiled. She rested her face into his palm and closed her eyes. "That is good. I almost thought you would have way too much fun and forget about me." Mira said.

"How could I forget about the woman who brought life to my world? The mother of my babies." These words made Mira’s heart melt.

"Oh, Jia Hao, you have no idea how much I’ve missed your love." Mira breathed.

"My love is here with me for you now, my love. I live to love you and you alone." Jia Hao commented.

Mira got lost in his eyes and in the warmth he provided that she forgot he was naked. That was until she felt something nudge her body. Mira shifted back. Her cheeks burned at that and she could not help but giggly shyly at that. Jia Hao raised a lazy brow. "You have seen me, felt me, wrapped around me and I have been inside of you. You have even born our offsprings yet the slightest touch of my member on your skin makes your face flush. Mira, you are going to be the end of me." Jia Hao teased.

Mira blinked. Hearing him say that was hot and made butterflies rummage her stomach. Mira cleared her throat. "When will your lions bring your clothes?"

"I kind of want them not to arrive here at all with them." Jia Hao responded. Mira blinked. Having one husband’s dick around her was one thing but having two was like a ticket to gang bang euphoria and now that she thought about it, it did not seem all that bad.

"I approve." Mira nodded with a pout.

Jia Hao chuckled under his breath. "Of course you do, love." He had this grin on his face that said he expected her perverted self to want that and Mira knew he was absolutely right.

Jia Hao took a deep breath. His brows narrowed when he let out an exhale then he sniffed the air again. And again. And again. He could not help but keep sniffing and moving his protruding nose around till the scent led him to face Mira. Jia Hao’s eyes widened. He looked stunned and completely taken out of it at the same time. Mira could not help but wonder what warranted that expression along with the sniffing.

"What? Is something wrong?" Mira asked.

Jia Hao’s stunned expression remained as he parted his lips to let out the words that weighed them. "You’re pregnant." He uttered.

Oh. He smelt that. How did he perceive that when Ming Tao did not?

Mira raised her hand to the back of her head and scratched. "I am." She admitted, looking even shyer.

"Ming Tao finally did the deed." Jia Hao stated. His shock was evident in his voice.

"You seem surprised."

"I am. But it has more to do with everything that transpired in the pride land as well as his hostile behaviour towards you." Jia Hao declared.

Mira smiled. She understood. If anyone told her that she would be bearing the Mighty Cheetah’s child right now, she would have called that person a liar and tapped into her inner demon Mira to teach that person a lesson to stop lying but here she was, carrying his baby. Their baby. "I get it." Mira stated.

"T. . . That’s a miracle. It’s a splendid thing. This news should be celebrated!" Jia Hao exclaimed.

"Ming Tao does not know." Mira uttered. Jia Hao’s face had questions so she answered before he could ask. "I found out today. This problem is taking a toil on him. I will let him know as soon as it is resolved. Then, we will celebrate."

Jia Hao nodded. "If you need anything while in secrecy, then you know where to find me."

"Thanks. I will remember that, husband." Mira stated. She wanted to say more but a loud bang disrupted the peace. It was violent against the door and sounded urgent like something was wrong.

"Stay back." Jia Hao uttered and walked in front of Mira in a defense pose. "These are not lions and they definitely do not smell like cheetahs."
