Chapter 24: The Slave Carriage

After killing the Black Dragon, a notification suddenly appeared before Arya.

[Congratulations for completing the Trial.]

[Level Up +3]

[Level Up +3]

[Level Up +3]

[You have reached Level 80.]

[Ice Magic Level 30.]

[Fire Magic Level 60.]

[Air Walk Level 60.]

[Devour Level 60.]

[Teleport Skill has leveled up.]

Before, you could only use Teleport one time.

Now its cooldown has greatly decreased.

You can now use Teleport many times.

[Your other skills have also leveled up.]

[Congratulations.]

[You have evolved into an Upper Demon.]

[After reaching Level 100, you will evolve into a True Demon.]

[After defeating the Black Dragon, you have obtained new skills.]

[Fire Immunity Level 30.]

[Fly Wings Skill Level 30.]

Then another notification appeared.

[You are now being teleported back to your world.]

A strange light covered Arya’s body.

His legs slowly began to disappear.

Then the rest of his body started fading away.

Arya quickly asked,

"What about the second trial? You said there would be two trials."

Another notification appeared before him.

[There was no second trial.]

[I only told you that to motivate you to keep moving forward.]

Before Arya could ask another question...

His body completely disappeared.

The next moment, he returned to the place where he had killed the orc.

Arya had finally returned to his own world.

But there was no one waiting for him.

There was no home left for him to return to.

Everything he once had was already gone.

Standing alone, Arya slowly clenched his fists.

His eyes became cold.

"I’ll take revenge... on everyone who took everything from me."

But Arya also understood one thing.

Even after becoming much stronger, he was still not powerful enough.

There were still many people in this world who were far stronger than him.

If he rushed in now, he would only die.

So before taking his revenge...

He had to become even stronger.

Arya felt something had changed in his body.

It wasn’t because he had gained new skills.

It felt like he had become older.

Arya asked the System,

"Why do I feel like I got older?"

A notification appeared.

[Yes. The trial took more than two years because the timeline inside the trial was different from the outside world.]

Arya quickly checked his status.

His age was now 8 years old.

He was still just a kid.

So, he changed his appearance.

His body now looked like that of an 18-year-old.

It would make traveling much easier.

Without wasting any more time, Arya started walking in another direction.

His destination was the village where Aisha’s mother lived.

He hoped...

Maybe someone from his village had survived and escaped there.

At the same time, another question kept bothering him.

"Who was really behind all of this?"

Arya knew something was wrong.

If the Orcs had attacked naturally, they should have come from the same direction as the Goblins.

But they hadn’t.

The Goblins had attacked from one side.

The Orcs had appeared from another direction.

And in that direction...

There was only a small forest.

No monsters ever lived there.

Arya frowned.

"Something isn’t right..."

A bad feeling filled his heart.

At first, he thought someone might have created a Dungeon there.

So he walked toward that place to confirm it.

After searching carefully...

He found no Dungeon.

Instead...

He discovered a large magic circle carved into the ground.

The magic circle was still faintly visible.

Arya stared at it silently.

"So... someone summoned the Orcs here."

His expression became even colder.

The people of that village were ordinary villagers.

Very few of them could even fight.

At that time, the only people capable of fighting had gone to deal with the Goblins.

Which meant...

The village had almost no defenders.

Someone had deliberately chosen that exact moment to summon the Orcs.

This wasn’t an accident.

Someone had planned everything.

Arya slowly looked toward the distant village.

"I have to know who did this."

Without delaying any longer, he continued moving toward the village.

Walking there would take three or four days.

Then Arya decided to use his new skill.

"Fly Wings."

The moment he activated it...

A pair of large white wings appeared behind his back.

The wings spread wide, releasing a gentle wave of wind.

Arya slowly rose into the sky.

Then he shot forward at incredible speed.

He flew for more than an entire day without stopping to rest.

Finally...

He reached the mountain range near the village.

By then, it had already become completely dark.

The night was too black to see anything clearly.

Continuing now would only be dangerous.

After flying nonstop for so long, Arya was also exhausted.

He decided to rest until morning.

The forest below was filled with monsters.

Sleeping on the ground would only invite an attack.

After looking around, he noticed a huge tree.

Its highest branches were so tall that most monsters couldn’t reach them.

Arya landed on one of the thick branches.

Since the branch wasn’t flat enough to sleep on, he created several Ice Blocks to make a place to rest.

But the moment he sat down...

A freezing chill spread through his body.

The Ice Blocks were far too cold.

Arya immediately jumped back to his feet.

"...Too cold."

He tried using his Fire Magic.

He knew the flames couldn’t burn his own body because of his Fire Immunity.

Instead, the heat slowly melted the surface of the ice.

Even then...

It still wasn’t comfortable enough to sleep.

After thinking for a moment, Arya sighed.

"I’ll just go back."

He activated his Teleport Skill.

Since the skill allowed him to teleport to places he had already visited, he instantly returned to the area where he had defeated the Orcs. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

There were still several huts made from trees and wood.

Arya rested there for the night.

Early the next morning...

He activated Teleport once again and returned to the mountain.

Then he spread his white wings and flew into the sky.

For several hours, he searched the surrounding area.

Finally...

He found the village.

But the moment he saw it...

Arya froze.

The entire village had already been destroyed.

His hope was gone, but he still tried to find something. He searched the surroundings, but after not finding anything, he flew into the sky.

A few minutes later, he heard the sound of a horse carriage.

When he went near it, he saw three horse carriages. They looked like cages made of metal. They were taking slaves somewhere.

Arya thought it was none of his business and tried to return.

Then he felt something different from the last carriage.

When he looked carefully, he saw only one girl inside. Her hands and legs were tightly bound by metal ropes.

Arya looked clearly from behind. The people didn’t notice him.

He used his Invisible Ring.

When he went near the carriage, he saw that she was a beautiful demi-human girl.
