Chapter 361: Coby’s Return
[Any.....]
[Everything is being calculated, please wait patiently.]
The third and last message appeared as the cosmos turned silent once again.
Listening to the last message Dhruv couldn’t help but find himself thinking about the result. Looking at his guardians he asked, "Hmm! What do you think, Alaric? Will we clear this quest..."
"I don’t think so, master... unlike how we have thoughts, there are many dungeons left unattended," Alaric replied.
"I think so too, master..." Azarex replied, nodding his head.
"..." Vexar remains silent.
Listening to their opinions, Dhruv was about to ask something more when he felt a voice reach him from behind.
"I see... so the whole gang is here..."
Everyone in the room flared to action in an instant, manipulating their mana simultaneously. Nobody had a clue when this new member had entered the house... and that right under their noses.
Activating his mana sense, Dhruv turned back. Looking at the intruder, he heaved a sigh of relief. He was looking at someone familiar.
"Coby... can’t you come like a civilized being? Why do you always have to appear like this?" Dhruv said, signaling everyone to lower their spells.
All of them were reluctant but ultimately decided to heed their master’s request.
’A cosmic being... what is he doing here?’ Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Aurora looked at the little creature flying above her master’s head. Although it looked like this, she knew better than anyone that nothing was little about this being.
"Hahaha! You have created quite an interesting bunch..." Coby muttered, looking at Dhruv’s guardians, particularly at Aurora.
"Master... I think we should leave so you can continue your conversation." Aurora asked, bowing her head.
Understanding that this cosmic being didn’t have any hostility against them, she asked for pardon. She knew the more she stayed there, the more her thoughts would wander, and that wasn’t a good idea when being in front of cosmic entities.
"Huh! You want to go?" Dhruv asked back, surprised.
"If you don’t have any problem, Master."
"Yeah! Sure, go ahead."
Unlike Aurora, the others were reluctant to go... but by explaining it through the mark, she somehow managed to convince everyone.
Seeing everyone leaving, Dhruv looked at Coby and asked, "So what brings you here..."
"There was no reason for me to come here during the second quest," Coby replied, looking at Dhruv, smiling.
"What? I didn’t ask that?" Dhruv asked, flustered by his reply.
"But wasn’t that what you wanted to ask?" Coby asked.
"Man, I won’t talk if you continue reading my mind like this," Dhruv replied, not impressed by having his mind read.
"Okay... anyway, it isn’t interesting talking like this..." Saying these words, Coby stopped reading his mind.
’Just how high do I have to keep my resistance to stop him from reading my mind...’ Thinking this, Dhruv looked at Coby, expecting an answer, but surprise, surprise, nothing came in reply.
Phew! Heaving a sigh of relief, he looked at him.
"...." Coby looked back.
"...."
"....."
"...."
"What?" Breaking the silence, Coby asked first.
"Why aren’t you saying something?" Dhruv asked, looking at him strangely while he couldn’t help but think whether it lost the ability to talk after stopping the mind reading.
"Why me?" Coby asked back.
"Aren’t you the one who came uninvited?" Dhruv asked the obvious.
"So you don’t have any questions, right?" Coby asked back, lifting one of his eyes.
"I mean, I have..."
"Ask quickly, I don’t have a lot of time anyway..."
’Why come if you don’t have time...’ Controlling his emotion, Dhruv looked at him and asked, "So Coby, I found out you haven’t appeared everywhere. Did you just appear near me or someplace else as well?"
"You aren’t the only one..." Saying these words, he became silent.
’So he does appear in other places as well... interesting.’ Not expecting anything more from him, Dhruv asked the next question,
"This is something embarrassing... but can the powerful almighty Coby tell me my exclusive ability?" Considering how the creature in front of him can read minds, Dhruv couldn’t help but fire his shot.
"If you survive till my next return... I will think about it." Coby replied, teasing him a bit.
’I have to wait... but that means he can tell me my exclusive ability.’ Filled with curiosity, he looked back and asked, "Is my exclusive ability powerful?"
"Something like that..."
’Not even giving a hint, alright...’
Forgetting about the exclusive ability, Dhruv looked at him and asked one of the most burning questions he had. "Is my True Fusion really a tier X ability?"
"Who knows..." Coby replied grinning ear to ear.
’This fuc– man, he didn’t even reply to a single question...’ Keeping a forced smile, he looked back and asked the fourth question.
"Can you tell me something about the fourth quest?"
"No, can’t tell..."
"Ohhh! Okay, nice. Why am I even bothering to ask at this point."
"You don’t want to ask; it’s my turn then,..." Coby said, smiling.
"No, N-"
Cutting him off in the middle, Coby continued,
"First of all, let me congratulate you on becoming a progenitor. You really achieved something impossible. I mean, becoming a progenitor at tier III is something very few can boast about." Coby muttered, really impressed by his achievement.
"Thank you, I guess," Dhruv replied, becoming a bit happy.
"That wasn’t all; you even broke the norm and fused multiple evolution options at tier IV. Man, you truly are a rule-breaker. Huh! You don’t like restrictions, heh!" Coby muttered, looking at him with a smirk.
"Yah! Something like that..." Mimicking him, Dhruv was replying with as few words as possible.
"Aren’t you a cheeky little one..." Coby giggled trying to pinch his cheeks.
’Why is he behaving like this...’ Finding something suspicious, Dhruv thought.
"Well, there isn’t much time left, so let me ask you the reason for my arrival this time... Do you perhaps want to sell your species to the cosmos?" Coby asked, looking at him seriously.
"Want to sell my species to the cosmos?... what does this even mean?" A frown appeared on his face as Dhruv asked back.
